    Default Psygnosis Wipeout hat

Here's something interesting I dug out of my hat collection.
I think I got it on ebay a few years ago.

    Nope. It's a small ball.
If it were a full size one, I'd have to have a freakin huge head to fit it. Freakin HUGE! 8O

I too wonder about the misspelling of wipEout. I maintain that logo is the coolest logo ever designed in the history of man. I wonder if there are any Psygnosis t-shirts out there, I'm tempted to have one printed with a massive Psygnosis logo I found on the net...

If I remember correctly, we only began to capitalise the 'E' in WipEout once Designers Republic created the logo with its prominent 'E'. The game was originally referred to as WipeOut, so that hat dates from pretty early in the game's development.

Incidentally, the crazy Psygnosis owl logo was created by prog rock album sleeve master, Roger Dean - http://www.rogerdean.com/

    Thanks. That's good to know.
I was even thinking of trading it for a wipeout shirt or something. Now I think I'll hang on to it. I'm always looking for wipeout shirts though. I have an icaras shirt from 3 and a fusion shirt that was given out with the game and that's it.
    Must keep looking...

I always loved the Psygnosis owl logo Very distinctive and makes a strong statement.

Also, I think that I'm not being presumptuous here by saying that every single user on this forum is grateful to Damon for creating the Wipeout concept and running with it

Thank you, that's very kind of you, but I so didn't 'create the Wipeout concept'!! I mention this to spare my blushes should any of the original guys be reading this! I was just a cog in a very big machine, but it was great fun being that cog! Cheers anyway.

(Heh, I've always thought that avatar thing over on the left was a tad misleading...)

Changed the title of your group of users from WipEout Creator to WipEout Creators.

I hope this better refflects the game was the work of a team and clears the confusion you talk about.
