Default Fstest of the 'Speed=3' ships !?

I'll try'n find out which of Auricom, Piranha and Assegai is the fastest. All have the Speed stat set to 3!
As we know it might be 3,1 or 3,5 ..
The feeling I got is that they order like this with the fastest first:
    Assegai
    Piranha
    Auricom
But to be sure I'll perform some tests

Anybody want to do the same so we can compare our findings?

I did this a long time ago with porta kora with all the ships on all the versions. As I recall that was the order, but there was an anomaly on one where piranha was fastest. I'll look it up.

I had these times posted on the arena forum but they are gone(maybe too old?). I think I have this written down somewhere. I'll look it up.

    Cool!

    Now my first results:
I raced SampaRun on veNom, no hyperthrust just a perfect lap
and at the Straight I took only the left single speedup, kept straight and checked the speed at the end of the straight
befor the end the speed evens out at a sertain number and here's what I got:

    Assegai 333.60
    Piranha 335.04
    Auricom 337.92 and 336.xx

Seems strange since i was convinced it was the other way around! 8O
Perhaps the higher manouverbility gives Assegai the edge despite it beeing the slowest?

I'll give it a go at another track and may be try that best lap method even if it seems a bit unsertain to me.

    Can someone confirm?

Perhaps by finding another way of measuring!?

I believe I have a way to do it. Get a gameshark, put in infinite autopilot, now you need a controller you dont have to keep hitting the button on, but has an turbo feature on the controller itself that does it. The autopilots are different speeds for all the ships depending on the ratings, and if there is a slight speed difference, this is sure to bring it out. I might be able to do it this weekend, but I need to see if I still have the neccessary equipment.

    I don't have a gameshark so that'd be cool!

I haven't done it yet but found my times for porta kora. There weren't anomalies, the fastest ships for all 4 versions were

    1) piranha
    2)assegai
    3)auricom

Keep in mind that assegai beats piranha on manor top( I put extensive time onto this track a while back)
the times on porta kora are real close though between piranha and assegai, but it was consistent. I need to find my gameshark to find out for sure

Any idea how this relates to the speed 4 ships? Top end speed wise I mean, has anyone tried it? I know there's only the Mighty Q and AG5y5, but it would be interesting to see, also it'd be interesting to see just how far off the top the Icaras' speed is over the 4/5 two

NO, but hopefully this weekend I will get some time to do this. Thanks for reminding me.
