2097 dont want to load on my ps2.

Today i got my second copy of wo2097, but when i load the game it doesnt come further then the loading screen. Just like my last copy i bought second hand. is there a known bug that it doesnt work with ps2's??

I also have wo, wo3, wo3se and they all work without problems. I dont see any big scratches on the cd's on the wo2097 (both original).

Have you modified the PSX Player Preferences (when you press Circle then Triangle on the PS2 Main Menu) ?
I remember it didn't work for me when I changed speed and texture-smoothing options.

I had the same problem it wouldnt work no matter what I did. My uncle however had no problems at all and didnt have to change a thing.
Just one of those anoying bugs I suppose.

Just checked but no, there are both on "normal"

Does it work on a PSX emulator on your PC or Mac ?
This might not be what you're expecting but if it's the only way…
Wip3out or SE runs perfectly, but a joypad is recommended.
