I'm not sure if this is well known or not, but I didn't know about it so mention it in case it is of interest to others as well. The no$psx emulator can emulate system link on PSX including games like Wipeout 2097. It displays both windows both sides on the same screen at once. I found that the 'cut down gaming version' worked best as the full version crashed due to lack of memory.
