... I suspect it's a calling, or maybe witches are born when the full moon is out and a lone wolf howls on a hill... but I could be wrong!
Rachel?
edit: nevermind, you posted before me. So it's like a calling then.
I'm interested in these things.

Beware, the extra 'a' strikes. :P
Well from my limited understanding of religion, it's definatly move in the right direction.
At least it dos'nt involve banging on good folk's doors harrasing them. :p
And calling them naive. ;) Lol.
Couldn't agree more.
@ACE-FLO - I don't really know. I guess it just sort of happened as I became more aware that there was more to life than one way of thinking. I started learning more and more about all kinds of things and it opened my eyes. The belief system I was left with fit the profile of a Wiccan, so that's what I was. I also added Pagan/Kemetian to the end to cover the part about my specific beliefs, namely following the old Egyptian gods.
have you got a cauldron, with black cat and toad assessories...
can you do spells..whats your favourite...if so can you do one for me please...::):):):):dizzy
I'm allergic to cats and thing they are pretty disgusting creatures. :P I have birds though.
No, I don't own a cauldron, but I use the beheaded skulls of orphans to brew up my potions.
Seriously though, I do use spells, but I'm more of a hedge witch. I prefer to use natural ingredients as medicines.
edited! ~ don't curse me. Yikes [runs around looking for a garlick necklace]
[wait - that's for protection against vampires, Schitt - I'm fucced!]
edit: we can trade! I have an organic selection of "Medicinal Herbs"... er... if you na am sayin' lol
[exhales]
LMAO @Jasmin, you speak like being a Wiccan is a fashion statement.
Rachel, do you pray to your gods then.
@Rachel:
You use skulls? I use a kettle:p (Just as likely as Bernard Matthews sitting on a throne of turkey skulls). XD
@DISRUPTOR - At times, yes. But, it's not like a usual prayer. It's usually to ask for help with certain things (IE: Love, employment, even asking for some sun or rain.) but is followed by an offering. (Ale or vegetables never go amiss. ;) ) I'm a patron of Osiris, so I usually ask him for help with certain things. Other than that, Ra, Seth (For the darker things), or Ma'at for justice.
@mdhay - I also use dried out cat skins and the eyeballs of old people. :P
who is your favourite god...
1 ra
2 anubis
3 osiris
4 someone else
..yes i have watched the mummy so im an authority on the subject:dizzy
Gah, lol.
0800 mythbusters lol
@jasmin - Like I said, I'm a patron of Osiris, so quite naturally it is him if I had to pick. (Which I probably shouldn't.) I'm not fond of Inpu (Anubis) for certain reasons, same as Seth, but still...
@ACE-FLO - Lord, I haven't watched that in yonks.
I dont think Rachel would have one.
XD Oh u
Either:
The Flying Spaghetti Monster;
The Invisible Pink Unicorn;
Uncyclopedia;
Or this.;)
All of them parody religions, lol
I prefer the idea of being a Frisbeetarianist.

Naughty ACE-FLO, for that you shall be flogged with nettles.
Ooh, nasty.
Thanks for the info Ace, now i know. Hopefully Rachel will go easy with your nettle whipping.:pirate
I wish I could say "I'm used to dealing with lil pricks" but that is just... ahem, gay (no offence to anyone)...
um, Rachel - since you're a good witch, will it be a bit like acupuncture?
Failing that, if it's gonna hurt - I'll give you those medical grade herbs I've got if you refrain from punishing me lol!
Rachel may just put you into a wickerman and torch you if you wind her up enough::p
lol, believe me I'm not trying to lol. I know a lil about herblore myself, it actually is a major factor in being responsible for research into natural medicine, on an international level.
Being Indian, I've gotten used to healing myself with ayurvedic medicine, and if being a witch can heal people then hey, need I say more?
Interesting fact, a spiderweb can heal a cut better than anything you can buy in a pharmacy/chemist!
Interesting fact: You would have had to have tried that to have found that out.:D
True story
I was in India for 8 months when I was ten.One day, I cut myself whilst playing. It was a bad cut, blood was everywhere and I was in panic but a servant kid, led me to his mud hut house. He then took a long twig from a plant and fished out a spiderweb from a corner of the room and applied on the cut. I stopped bleeding straight away! 2 mins later he pulls the excess webbing off and my cut had sealed itself. I can still make out a very feint marking of a scar if Iook!
That totally farout.
"I wish I could say "I'm used to dealing with lil pricks" but that is just... ahem, gay (no offence to anyone)..."
Actually, that is offensive to someone. Namely me. And to gays in general.

I had a look at Wiccan after I found that a few decades of agnosticism seemed overly featureless and lacking in liveliness, but I found it too female-centered for me. I liked Feri better. I still have some interest in the Craft, but I've always been too lazy for rituals.
Currently, as my livejournal bio says, I am sort of a Taoistic Pantheist with animistic tendencies. :D
Sorry to be ignorant but what is a feri?
Feri is one of the versions of the Craft; it's not an individual or an object. Its a particular belief set and method of dealing with the universe, a way to become who you innately are underneath the previously acquired customs of your life, a way to achieve harmony within yourself and with all other things.
like a jedi in star wars...Mmmm well be careful and do not underestimate the power of the darkside.:dizzy
yoda says...."achieve harmony you must my apprentice yes."
Sorry Lance, was a cheap joke and I apologise.
Speaking of Jedi knights, they all look like modern day Muslims I think. And come to think of it, Muslims have the Force... almost 2 decades since Operation Desert Storm and the Stormtroopers (USA & UK forces) still haven't managed to secure Afghanistan and Iraq...
What gets me is that it is Ramadhan atm. The Iraqi and Afghan people are fasting for this month, yet western militia are still firing bullets and bombs into civilian territories! CHICKENZ!
War is not a respecter of rituals, not even its own. It's true nature is total destruction.
How very very very true!
The Art of War is an ugly art, indeed!
war suks....
better to make love than fight.
if the politicions want a war they should do it themselves and leave everyone else alone.:)
