Yes, he knows.
I'd like to participate in one, but not for a while. How often are these things organized?
not too often lately, quite busy with college here
though you can always hop into the one of sunday :)
@renn alright, thanks
Cipher
My game's in the mail (picked up an old OFW PS3 for very cheap, trying to see if I can trade it for a slim so I can't update yet). No idea when it will get here and doubt I can clear a campaign before Sunday. If I can though, I'll catch you guys online.
you can do it on easy and you only need to do the wipeout HD campaign for the silver skin, on easy, it should be possible (assuming you have the time to play)
Cipher
Cipher, you can count me in as reserve because I got the trophy some time ago. So Pavan could join the first race and no second race is needed.
Alright, fine with me :)

If I boost for the online trophies how feasible would it to be to plat this game within 24 hours. It'd have to wait until after exams, but I don't have a PSN yet and it would be a cool 'record' to hold. From my past experiences with Wipeout I can honestly say this will be one of the, if not the only game I think is worth plat'n.
oh gawd, platinuming this game in 24 hours? you wont make that, i can assure you, unless you have already quite a bit of playtime in it, but there's some very nasty trophies in wipeout :p
Cipher
Hmm... it was waiting for me since I came back from work. I haven't put it down for much since then... I heard it's rather tough and so far it's living up to that. I can cope with Elite AI up to Flash now but Rapier is still giving me some trouble (very hard to win on Chen...whatever Projects). Zone mode (which has been my favorite since Pure) I'm doing okay with, up to Zone 40 on Syncopia. I think this might be doable.
Since I still haven't sold/traded the PS3 yet I can't update it which basically means no PSN for me. I was never huge into the multiplayer aspect of games (with one exception), so that doesn't bug me much. That said I won't have a PSN account either. What I could do is play the game until the next one of these events came around and then start my file with Bling Brigade so I don't end up stuck waiting for that.
I think sub-24 hours is feasible... fastest guy right now is 31 hours and he had an 11 hour sleep in there. That said he was an absolute god before he started the clock since as far as I can tell he beat Zico in less than 5 minutes of play (a feat I'm sure some of you are capable of repeating but which seems painfully distant for me). My main concern is that this thing is only for 100% completes. That's like 7-8 hours spent on Fury's campaign even if you win every match first try. Not sure it's possible to do this all in a row without falling asleep ;)
don't think sleep would be a problem (at least for me not), but the difficulty to get some trophies would take too much time (just like the zico one) if you haven't fully mastered your controller
Cipher
Theorizing some times... I'd have to leave 6-7 hours for each campaign (Fury's events like eliminator take longer and I won't win 100% of the events on HD because I'll be facing Elite AI Phantom).
If I get good at Zone than Zone Zeus, Airbreaker, and Own the Zone will all fall neatly together in 15 minutes. Getting the other 3 Zone-only tracks to 50,000 points should only take ~3 minutes each. If I want to be really safe I allocate an hour for the zone stuff. An hour for Zico too (and I'll make sure I can get low 31s consistently before I start the clock). An hour of boosting for the eliminations... and two more hours to tie up the lose ends.
You need 188000 Loyalty to plat the game. Hopefully that'll be down to 40000 or so after completing both campaigns and the Zone trophies. That's a little less than an hour and a half of playtime. Total play time would be like 20-22 hours... sleep might become an issue. Maybe I'm overestimating though.
"Zone 50... clear"
I just realized I'd also have to complete a campaign before I could do Bling Brigade. Which means my clear time will be very dependent on whether people actually show up :|
^lol, we often are 15 mins later than scheduled (inviting/everybody taking silver/yada yada)
Cipher
Well enjoy your races while i'm studying:(
...And enjoy your bb trophy too:)
PS: Cipher don't be always the last one who finishes the race;)
Haha that's fine, as long as it actually happened. I'd have to hope nothing changed in the six-seven hours before schedule as I went through elite gold campaign. Alternatively I could do fury campaign on any difficult for any medal before BB, but I'm thinking of leaving that for last since even if I'm half asleep I could do that. :D
Oh lol. I think the clock starts after you earn your first trophy. Theoretically I could complete the entire Fury campaign without a gold medal in anything and not once barrel rolling and not get any trophies. Then it would just take getting the last medal to start the clock which makes a 12 hour clear possible. Do you need gold medals for the campaign ships, or just a medal in every cell?
Edit: I don't think silver in every cell is enough to move onto the next set of cells. Damn, that would have been a clever strategy. If I'm careful I can still grind for loyalty points before starting the clock though.
advancing in campaign also awards a couple of trophies (or are you only going for a select few?)
and no, silver everywhere isn't enough :p
Cipher
I realize regular campaign unlocks trophies as you go through it, and your first barrel roll does too... and there's no way I could beat Elite AI without barrel rolls. What I had conceptualized was getting silver on every cell but one of the fury campaign without barrel rolls (since that shouldn't unlock anything) and then finishing the final one right before Bling Brigade got together so that the clock would start right then and I'd already have the whole 5-6 hour fury campaign out of the way.
But I didn't immediately realize I'd have to get some golds too to make the point reqs for the next set of cells in Fury (and you get an achievement for your first gold). Now I'm wondering/hoping that that trophy is only applicable for the original campaign's golds since it's literally called "1 down, 86 to go". I guess I'll find out later.
don't forget, bling brigade this sunday
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldcloc...1T1830&p1=1249
if you're worried you haven't received an invite yet, that's normal,i'll invite you guys when i get home (will be just before the event)
See you soon,
Cipher
Hi guys,
I'm new here, but really happy that I've found this topic. Can I join to the next Bling Brigade? It is the only trophy I need for platinum. I've maxed out the entire HD+Fury combo, earned all the trophies (made the Zone Zeus trophy & Arcade Perfect the hard way), etc. I'm at 98% trophy completion now. So Bling Brigade is really the only one I need for Transcendence.
My Playstation ID is: Kaszman_HUN
Please invite me too for the next event.
Can't make it on sunday at all, Sorry guys.
if you can join in in today's session (sunday), sure i'll pop you an invite when i get home ;)

To bad mate :(, maybe next time
Cipher
Zone 63... clear.
Elite AI at Phantom is a whole 'nother world. I've managed to racebox 1st five of the tracks (on the way to Arcade perfect) with weapons off, but in campaign even if I fly nearly perfectly, which I have to, they'll just hit me the moment I get some lead... very frustrating.
Gold medals in Fury campaign does not count for the medal, so the /almost/ clear fury campaign thing is feasible which makes me much more optimistic about a 12 hour clear.
There's no way I'll have this all set up by tomorrow though (I'm working tomorrow too :/). Have fun guys, maybe I'll catch the next one with PRTM, Kasz and anyo and anyone with BB willing to go again (Cipher :nod)
I'm available to join another brigade of vounteers, please contact me in case you need one more entry.
ID: Shellshaka
If you need another player for today's session I would like to get BB. If there's any space my id is danny_37
Thank you guys for the Bling Brigade trophy. This was a big help! I've finally got the Transcendence trophy :nod
Sorry guys, couldn't make it. Hopefully I can be there the next time
Congratulations Kazman and everyone.
Man i'm not playing on ps3 these days....Lucky you...:frown:
It's been a month since i last played wipeout.
was fun folks, thanks all for joining in
shellshaka and pavan ddin't make it, so we'll set up a new bling brigade soonishly
Cipher
Haven't touched phantom elite in a while, but just Beat Zico (lap of 30.62 missing a speed pad on Charlie's route). It wasn't nearly as bad as people hyped it to be... admittedly I ended up spending something like ?40? minutes on it (lap 66 ^^), but the way people were talking about it I was thinking it'd be a 5 hour trek. Thanks Charlie, your vid helped a lot.
Fury campaign golds are confirmed as not counting for the '87 down' medal. I'd have to fly SRs and Tournies on Skilled to avoid earning Deadly Momentum though. I might also have to switch to only using airbreaks or I'll get an (Un)Happy Accident eventually.
Mach 1 is killing me and so is Phantom Elite... :/
Hopefully I'll be ready for my run by the time the next set of BBs can get together. Speaking of which, if you're interested in joining the next run post your PSN and the times you're usually free in the week (include timezone). I'm available all day Tuesday and Friday, Wednesday mornings, and Thursday nights and I'm running on PST (GMT-7). I'll post my PSN when I have one.
if you're gmt -7 i could go for wednesday (which is my afternoon i guess)
Cipher
Hmm, on wednesdays I can't get online earlier than 20:00(GMT+2). However, the next two weeks I'm available on tuesday, thursday and friday(whole day), monday afternoon-night and wednesday night.
monday afternoon i can do as well on GMT+1 +1 DST
