It's DP89's call really, it would be better if it was all in one thread then it could be an Elite Challenge. But that's if he wants to do it, if not, someone could start one for TT only. I'm not putting myself forward for this as I hate TT nearly as much as I hate SL :D. So I wouldn't do it justice. I'd still take part though. :P

A Time Trial Challenge could certainly be done, but I wouldn't want the Speed Lap Challenge to die as a result :(
The only risk is to attract more people IMO ;)
You can add TT to the challenge, but stipulate that those wishing to take part should first complete speed lap. That way everyone should do the speed lap as well.
Nice idea, that would work :) Perhaps tomorrow could be the first week of the Time Trial Challenge...

just managed to scrape .09 off my icarus pb so im happy, think i have to thank rezatron for tip on last corner i wasnt pressing down, had my own line but it help by quite a bit like 0.30,Attachment 1417
I just tied the world record ( 21.88 ) using 3 BRs this time but I missed a speed pad :mad:

Really? It's never made any sense to me, I'm sure I've had perfect laps before but it never came up with a star. I really should of worked it out by now.

Last minute attempt yielded 22.25. 2 BR's, 11 speed pads, HD Triakis.
I was getting pretty annoyed, my previous time (22.46) was something I was really unhappy with, and I beat my ghost consistently for a full 99 lap session until the last corner with the BR. Didn't take me long after that to finally beat it, and get something I can look forward to beating with a ship I like now :P
Didn't realise it, but I finally won our rivalry this week, with a 22.93! Still, doesn't change the fact that you've beat me every other week Mietepiet :DQuote:

You should keep the TT the same speed, track and ship as the SL. It would be too complicated any other way. I also agree on the SL being obligatory to enter the TT side of things. Can we hope for a Phantom one at some point. :D It's where my heart lies.

Yeah I think you can boost and BR towards the end of the lap (last turn), not sure if possible at this speed.

Just had a a 50 lap session and got 0.02 of a second behind both Rez and my Icaras time... I think I can improve on that, so we'll see how we go.
I don't think I've even used the Fury Goteki before this; at least it isn't like adjusting to the Triakis xD

I tried and tried in icaras+ and couldnt beat my pb, then found it surprisingly easier with the other ship:mad:

For the br at the start its best to pitch up down an up for the height, better than just down up IMO :D

I just found that it's possible to do a BR from the turbo boost at the start of the race (i'm sure this is known to many). It's very difficult to pull off (at least for me) and when I get it I totally mess up the first corner...
Barnster: it's 21.62 (referring to Modesto Rapier SL)
You must boost a little before the end/start line to take the first turn easier while BR-ing ;)
Do you guys have any tips on how to consistently do the boost-br? I can only do it, based on my attempt just now, about 1 in every 25 laps.
Somehow I got a new time in the same session; 33.66. Don't know how I got an ok boost at the start while failing to boost-BR...
