Well, just shy of 11 months... the final nail in the coffin was the Bling Brigade trophy, so the Platinum is (eventually) mine... sitting at 98% though (Fury Campaign to complete)...
Looking back at the game though, technically it's brilliant, incredibly polished and detailed, it's the console version everyone wanted really. The Fury campaign just completes the game and for under $50AU... rivals any games value for money.
Personally though, it didn't hook me as other incarnations have, according to my game stats only 55 hours have been sunk into the game... whereas I know that many more were lost to 2097, 3 and as anyone that knows me, Fusion...
call me old school, but I'm not a fan of the Barrel Roll, I can understand the strategy element to them, taking risks and all, but they are also impractical. Still believe for Time Trial racing, Wip3out was the greatest, Boost Bar + ability to recharge via the Pits...
and for those on the For side who think I hate them because I can't do them, my stats suggest 80% success rate, i'm not great at them and there are times when I do stuff them up...
The main issue though for me was the Elite difficulty though. Alot has already been said about it, but at times it can be very frustrating to be on the receiving end of about 4-5 ships at the same time, slower class ships easily flying past you and so forth... Is it challenging? Of course! but not 100% balanced, as great piloting doesn't always lead to a victory.
Will go on to finish the Fury campaign (btw, Detonator Rules, it is what Zone was in Fusion, and what Eliminator was in Wip3out, brilliance) but will scale back the WipEout HD loving. Attempts will be made to crack 100 in Zone though, not being all that great with this version, will be very contempt with that result.
One would assume that WipEout HD has been a success, so here's hoping for a 'proper' sequel due in 2010 perhaps. No rehashing of old tracks, but the continuation of the WipEout canon...
F3600 > F5000 > F7200 > F9000 > FX300 > FX350 > FX400 > FX750 (Calling it now! :D)

Im so close to platinum, all i need is bling brigade and i would like it if someone else with me to help me get it. It's taken me 29 hours to reach this stage and I would like to get platinum before my 30th hour. THanks
Finally got it with Zone Zeus on Syncopia today. Thought I wouldn't have time/energy to play any today after a night out with work but could resist after doing Zone 73 yesterday. :D

Last two trophies Deadly Momentum and Gemini
I got Transcendence today (2/9-2009 10:12). I was happy and most of all relieved.
Last trophy was Beat Zico, got 30.77.
I transcended today as well (2/9/2009 20:36). The last trophy I needed was Zone Zeus, I crashed a few seconds after reaching Supersonic.
Considering I got the game 17 days ago, I'd say that's a decent time. :g
Trancendence attained, 2.9.2009, 18:19. ..Now I can finally go back and enjoy the game again.

I have sort of a confession. I didn't get WipEout HD, or it's expansion pack Fury when it was released because I didn't have a PS3. :?
However I got the PS3 slim just after it was released and it's an awesome piece of hardware. :p Anyway the day I got my PS3 was the day I got both WipEout's and started playing them.
I completed WipEout HD, and Fury campaigns, and got the transcendence trophy, all of them in roughly a week. How about that? :rock
Transcendence: 10/09/09. Today basically. :)

I really wish that there were one editable post containing the latest updated complete list instead of pages and pages of nearly identical lists. Does anyone have any thoughts on the desirability or lack thereof? Any suggestions as to how to make a single list work? [I'm too sleepy and lazy to think about it right now, and I need to get outta here and go hunting. For food. And other things. In a supermarket.]
Why not edit the first post with the latest list and edit as more Transcend. I am working on the Platinum, so one less copy/ paste for you:beer

Problem is that Wip3ou7 doesn't visit often enough to edit the first post, and if/when he comes back there will be like 50 people to add... If there was a way to insert a post from someone at the top it should be done, or insert something that anyone can edit. I doubt it's possible, I've never seen that on a forum.
I don't know if there is BBCode to reduce a long list of text to a small button which you can click to see the list, if there is Infoxicated should enable it (As well as the [s] BBCode tags please, so we can finally strike out text)

it was good cos i got 4 gold and one platinum trophy in 3 nights which i thought was cool..:hyper:hyper
hardest one to get was elite campaign cos it was so long and i got stuck on
sol 2 rapiar for some reason..probally cos i couldnt pull off enough BR;s.took about an hour to win it.:-
favourite trophy was elite arcade cos it's actually useful and i felt it improved my gameplay and would play it again..:+
zone zeus was good too..my next challenge is zone 100 i guess..thing i like about the zone is you get to finish your song on it.which never happens i a race.:dizzy:dizzy

elite arcade racing is good for warm up i guess..but they are too soft compared to some of the evil racers i play online.:dizzy

wow..what a nice brother you are to complete the nastiest platinum of ps3..my brother suks he gave up wipeout when he couldnt clear event 3 on novice..so i had to do whole game for him and he is 27:)
