Still not much change from egg's original, I've cleaned up the textures considerably, to give it that 'new paint job' look, again I've added a slightly larger 'feisar chibi' (Rumor has it that's your doing infox, would you mind giving us a little background info).

I need to work on the cab part, which looks terrible at the moment, and I totally missed the airbrakes with the logos at the back, but I think the metallic panels look quite effective.

For this skin I was only using the editor in the web, no copy, paste or anything like that. Everything done pixel by pixel. :dizzy

As I said - a lot of the Qirex architecture remains. I wanted the skin to look like a group of extremists had hijacked a ship and painted the scheme to reflect their cause.
...and the writing on the side of the ship says exactly what you think it says.
I waited till earlier today to view this thread, then looked at all the skins in one session, reading everything up to just before the most recent post. The ones that pop into my thoughts as I write this are Max's brown beauty; Amaru's Cedecio in its first form; the Go Teki in original colours with no graphics, ZenDJINN's colourful Go Teki, and his purple, gold-flecked machine; Rob's Soviet Qirex, ''Nadia's'' TIE fighter, and that Qirex in 2097 Retro.
I'm sorry if I didn't put your name to the description of your design. Also there are some others I like that I didn't mention, but I'd have to go back and look again and currently my visual sense is too overloaded and needs a rest.

I'd like to see the never-say-die extremists paint a Qirex in pale grey Soviet with the red star and CCCP.
The custom skins I've seen in this thread so far are all great. We have some talented skinners here! :D (That sounded weird...)
Unfortunately, I don't really have the patience (and perhaps the ability) to make a decent skin. I have to make something for Icaras and Auricom though...

I've added some flames to the front of the ship and finished the work on the edges of the fins. I also painted a little "!" sign on the back of the craft and put some air vent stripes to the cockpit sides. Still everything done only using the web based editor, no photoshop.
Next thing I want to do is to write my initials (TOM) on one side fin of the ship and WOZ on the other side. I'm wondering what colours to use for these because I'd like to use something else than only gold on this skin. Since I've used only 6 different colours until now, I have enough possibilities left in the colour editor. Any suggestions? :)

I mentioned sometime before Pulse was released that I'd be creating a championship AG-SYS craft, adding in visual form to the Wipeout backstory.
Becoming much more familiar with the editor (along with Photoshop), but here's my work so far. This is my interpretation of the AG-SYS that won the FX300 season. There's a lot of corporate "noise" on the ship to make it look like a weathered racecraft. Don't particularly like the right side of the ship, but I'll end revising the design in some form or another.
I borrowed a bit from this concept drawing from SL. I'll post some in-game pics soon enough.

Stew, if think your going to have to add the details like panel lines and scratches.
I guess it just comes down to Trial and Error. and a little bit of patience.
Just really need to get your head around which 16 colours you need.

Stew, a tip: Where the blue meets the orange, you have painted it just blue|orange. If you paint blue|light blue|darkish brown|light orange|orange, it looks more like two panels next to eachother, like this:
