"Arse" XD
:lol I love all those stupid track and ship names we used to come up with.
Just made another speed lap video. You should enjoy this one, mate: Outpost 7 Black
Nice flying, at 0:09 if you use the turbo and pitch up you can do 2 BRs instead of 1, also at 0:15 if you pitch up and sideshift to the right you can do one more BR but it may actually slow you down if you crash.
Cheers. I can't believe I wasn't doing that turbo BR already! It seems so obvious now I think about it. I even do it on the same part of the track on the White run. :lol
Just tested it on speed lap for a few minutes. It's a fair bit trickier than it is on the White run, but I got it clean a few times, and improved my lap time to 20.36.
I actually did experiment with the sideshift BR in 2010 or 2011 when I used to play a lot, but I found it too impractical and gave up on it.

Do you play on an emulator?
Yeah, I've been using PPSSPP for all my recent videos (the old ones were done on a real PSP). Neither of my PSPs work well enough to play Pulse any more. Maybe I'll buy another one, but it's a real gamble buying them used, as they're usually worn out.
Framerate bonus;), I keep crashing, but I guess it's because I haven't played for a long time. I don't have much experience with Pulse anyway.
If I end up buying another PSP or somehow fixing one of mine, I'll gladly disprove the framerate bonus theory yet again. :D
But yeah, the framerate is definitely smoother, although it can be unstable, especially while recording with Radeon ReLive - it'll all be running nicely, but then you randomly get hit with stuttering or a microfreeze that completely throws you off (and of course, it always happens when you're just about to get a really nice lap or race time!).
I'm sure you've played so much that it doesn't matter anymore.
HD sometimes freezes when loading a music track from a custom playlist... also I like zone...
get vita ;)
Stevie :)
It doesn't feel the same... ok, I'll go delete those huge WO 2097 OST files I have for no reason.
(a few seconds later)I know, you weren't talking to me:brickwall
Vita seems to be discontinued, and it uses an emulator for PSP games anyway. Might as well buy a PSP so I can enter times on the wipeoutzone tables again (if/when Rob finishes fixing them - I gather it's quite a bit of work to sort them out). Plus I still have a backlog of UMD games.
@Ghosts of Temtesh
Zone is awesome! Wish I was better at it. I did set a record on Fart Gale Black once, but couldn't really challenge the top scores on other tracks.
I think you missed the zone joke, try again...
After my last post I started doing speedlaps on Arc Prime black and Basilico black. My times are close to yours but I can't record videos so I guess nobody cares. Still, it is fun trying to beat someone.
What are your times (and any other particularly fast SL/TT times in any speed class)? If they're too close to mine, I'll have to get back to work on Pulse and try to find ways to improve.
Basilico black:17.53 Arc Prime black: 20.60. These must be my only good times since I have never tried to beat any records before. Also I have played this game just for 62 hours.
For only 62 hours, those are really good times. You probably know about this already if you've read many Pulse threads on here or GameFAQs, but do you pitch the nose down? It gives you a slight speed increase, which ends up lowering your times by a decent amount if you do it all the time (except on magstrips - it doesn't work on those).
I actually discovered it from a chaotic HD thread.
