I'm the same way. I got one half way decent BR at the start today out of 40 laps.
24.27, 3br's, hd
This track is so annoying! I'm finding the start and the end are so hard to pull off well.
And then there's the 3 extra BR's that are only just possible...
Mm well the two BRs after the BoostBR in the open section (these are 2 of the one's
your talking about aren't they? ) aren't too hard but I'm not convinced that they're any
faster, especially the first one. I tried those BRs a few times but if you do a good
boostBR you end up having to shear off all the speed that you gain from the boostBR
by having to veer left in order to get said BR. Never really tried the other one but since
it's rapier I reckon it might not be that advantageous cos you have to compromise
your line massively (and you have the whole bouncing into the air thing.)
Might be way off base here but oh well :P
Yeah, those are the two. I, for some reason, can't stand it when my ghost is in front of me. And like you said, those two br's are hard to get something out of. When I try to do them and see my ghost flying off, it discourages me from attempting them immensely :P
And nearly every lap, I screw up the start... and get to watch my ghost for a while. Worst track for me!
I think you'd need to do both BR's for them to be of benefit. I think the line you get from doing the first makes the second advantageous in that situation, but on their own they're probably as you described; not worth the effort.
As it is, if done well, either can be just as good as a decent boost br though. 2 very hard to do "well" BR's, and one next-to-impossible one, is perhaps what I meant.
Venom they're probably worth going for though

It's my first SL Ch, I usualy don't fly on rapier, and maybe my time is not amazing, but... Wy the hell not ;)

had a quickish shot using the fury ship, got 26.13 with 2 br's and some sloppy lines through a couple of corners, so I'll have another shot later
