I've just been in butt kicking mode trying to get the rest of Buzzard group's 2nd round matches completed.
One is being raced today thankfully.
The 3 other uncompleted races it seems have all got one pilot willing to race, and the other making lame excuses :naughty, so the excuse makers have been given a ultimatum, race within the next 7 days or default.:mr-t
I mean it's about 20-30 minutes of your gaming time to complete, is that really too big an ask?

Someone mentioned that videos with lower frame rate sometimes create the illusion of the ship going faster. Maybe it was Connavar, not sure now. But that could well be it. Phantom running at 60 fps on PS3 converted down to 30 fps for youtube.

Uber fwd Pressure on, got a 3/4 second lead on him, but he came back hard on the last lap to fire rockets at me on the finish line, just got over first kgb wins
modesto rev Chester hit me with rockets straight away but managed to get him back with my own. Kept out of trouble to win kgb wins
Anulpha All on the last race!! Got done by the mines on the upper level then fell off the track doing the BR on to the SP! :P Chester won by 10 seconds :paperbag. Chester wins

They were great races with Erich truly, and the old pattern repeated itself once again. The tracks you feel comfortable with, are most likely to fail on you :) Like i said to Erich, i'm sad only because we met so early on the cup!

Bombel2000- 4 beat Imre92 -3
I'm not sure what the story is with these races, or what the tracks/speed class ended up being, but as I understand it from various messages received between the two of them bombel2000 refused to race on Imre92's selected Fury tracks [Imre92 told me this] and also didn't want to race Phantom[Bombel2000 told me this], so Imre92 changed his selection, which I think is very gracious on his part, but just as equally given a unfair advantage to Bombel2000.
The results could of been quite different if Imre92 had raced his original chosen selections.
Kanar you might want to investigate with Imre92 about what occurred and if he feels he was disadvantaged [language barrier] , and if he wants a rematch, as if this is actually what happened then it's a HD CUP rule violation on Bombel2000's part as I see it.
You cant refuse someones choices :( Im confused a bit though. Did bobel refuse to race imre's traks and speed class, or was it imre asking for a different speed class?
I know a few people have changed their choices gracefully for the other player, and kudos to them, but you definitely shouldnt be forced to.

If he "refused" to race phantom races, it's him who should be disqualified because the opponent can choose whatever damn tracks and classes he likes.
From what I can tell from the French WipEout pages, imre92 said that bombel refused to race the Fury tracks, so imre changed Modesto to Vineta, but he stood firm on getting to race his own tracks on Phantom. But the final race was Rapier at Sol 2 for some reason. :/
He said that he wasn't happy with having to do Flash, nor for the final races to be 'russian roulette' Rapier. He said he would prefer the final event to be Modesto, Chenghou or Sebenco Reverse, real pilots' circuits, on Phantom. Frankly, I don't blame him.
Just played my Round 3 match with Aka-Sho. Was a GG, the phantom races in particular were quite close!

I've just been reading Imre92's posts at Arena.
It's the first time I've read a full report, I had only just got snippets of what was happening between these two in PSN messages when trying to get them to race.
I had contacted Imre92 and he said he had been trying to get Bombel2000 to race of several occasions, but that he had told him he either needed more practice, been too tired or too stoned.
It's only when I sent Bombel2000 a ultimatum of race within 7 days or lose by default that they raced.
It appears each won their respective selections, Imre92's were all Phantom even if they weren't the Fury tracks he wanted to race on, so it's a moot point if he was disadvantaged.
And Bombel2000 won all his Flash speed selections.
It's why the final deciding race which should of been Rapier>Anulpha Forward was changed to Rapier>Sol 2 that is the question of rule breech.
I don't know, but if they both agreed then I see no problem.
From what I'm reading it seems that Imre92's stance is that he feels that the slower speeds should not be allowed in the Cup generally, and that a true test of a pilots skill should be measured at Phantom speed alone.
This especially in the 7th and deciding race, which he feels should be Phantom on either Sebenco,Chenghou or Ubermall.
So I'll leave the result as it is, as I see this more as Imre92's problem with the actual HD CUP format rather than a problem with an opponent.
Why wasn't he able to race Fury tracks? Did his opponent not have the Fury add-on?
I'd be surprised if he doesn't. You'd think if he didn't have fury he'd have mentioned that immediately?
I know that rules have been 'bent' already; many people have picked the same race type for all 3 choices, and in my own race accidently had Rapier>AP with no weapons, but Bombel2000 wanted Imre to change his track choices, speed class choices, and the default race?
Think I'll demand I can choose CP, CP, CP and default race CP in my next race if thats the case :) *sarcasm!*

ive played and lost crap tracks i never wanted to play but then my opponents played mine tracks and they probally never liked them either..
