Haven't done this for a while so had a quick go.
29.47 - 10 pads - 2 BR - Fury. I took .5 off my best time previously on the 10th lap. Got to be happy with that ;).

there are a few spots where I reckon you could get enough air to do a 3rd BR, but they're all incredibly difficult to capitalise on. I reckon you could with a right SS on the corner before the tunnel for the boost, and the same thing at the end of the last tunnel just before you exit - maybe. Could definitely get another br going on the right if you could pull it off there. But yeah... both locations would be next to impossible to nail.
Got my time down to 29.36 I think.
My time from yesterday hasn't updated on the tables yet which is the first time since I started doing the comp, no one else's is on there either.
There seems to be a massive delay going on with scores (not -,-) appearing on the leaderboards. Scores I set a week ago are yet to appear, lol. :hyper
Had a quick bash at this, might come back for some more later, especially once all the new recruits start beating me. XD

No, it stands for "Boost, Select, Boost."
Basically, before your attempt lap, you boost high into the air. Then whilst in the air, you cancel your lap to get another turbo and boost again - you go flying over the line and get a big headstart.
I don't encourage it for the SL Challenge though. :brickwall

it still can be done but its a bit more difficult to do now as there is a timer on the lap cancel button.its still probally done by record setters to get that edge need for rank 1.

All the top times for vineta k f in particular (like 20+ times), and the top times for moa therma f are all bsb. Can probably be done to decent effect on chenghou project, maybe sol2 f and amphiseum r as well.
the gain on V.K for bsb is huge, and more or less required for top 10 on MT as well for the lower speed classes...
sub 22 on moa t f is possible without bsb, WR needs bsb !

I think it was the 1.3 update that changed the cancel lap button from select to L1
bsb just became the standard descriptor for that method and it stuck even though it doesn't make sense regarding the game in its current state

i know you closed time trial cos it didnt arouse enough interest but i thought it was good i just forgot to post there many a time cos it was in another thread..other probally did too..

can we start it again and just post in this thread and make it always the same track/class/speed as the SL challnege..
also can we have the SP race record challenge and MP race record challenge as well.
so every week there are 4 winner slots a week..something for everyone..
best thing about it is it will add more interest ..many players cry about SL challenge as they cant do/wont do turbo br starts now they dont have to..
there something for everyone and not too much more work to do..

Jasmin has suggested an idea that includes resurrecting the TT Chalenge and having a Single Race and Multiplayer Race challenge as well. Thoughts anyone?
i never did the TT challenge because i can barely sting up one good lap to post here, let alone then do 4 or however many,;)
Doing a single race challenge could be cool. as it factors in the other races and so gives the noobs like me a chance as the keen pros might get held up by the AI perhaps?
me thinks a zone challenge ;) i might actually be able to be of some sort of competition there :P
Replace every challenge with a TT challenge (and maybe have a best TT lap if you really feel like it. Get's around all the complicated boostBR starts innit) :hyper

Maybe merge TT and SL together in a thread? Probably one of the reasons TT died off is that nobody could find the thread, including you at times Phantom. XD But Yeldar's converted me and I don't mind a good Time Trial. Or that's possibly because I can't Start-Barrel Roll. XD

Anyway, I don't think not being able to find it is a good reason. Search is easy to use, and the Arena section isn't that busy, so anyone who really wanted to take part could have. I was sad to see it close though, because I prefer TT, and think everyone else should too. :P But yeah, make sure there's a bit of interest this time before re-opening it.:nod
