Aaargh!! This is one of the very bad things about download only games!! Now most of the day is going to wasted waiting for it, it's painful you know..
Yeah it's a bit of a waste to the day. But hey im at work, least I didn't lose 2 days holidays :).

i've relocated upstairs and pluged the ps3 via cat5 direct to the router because I dont trust the wireless to give me a solid download when it hits

I thought the PSN store would be updated earlier. I am usually not into the whole PSN thingy (as I have no games yet!) so I was very dissapointed to find out I have to wait for afternoon or night to come around.
I woke up, turned on my ps3, went online with credit card in hand and was horribly dissapointed to see it's not out yet.
The usual time for the store update here is 4-5pm, it's now 10.40am...
In the meantime I'm off to stock up on the Red Bull :g
Yeah i'm off to get the missus a DVD myself a few beers and a good curry for fueling the long nite of WOHD....
it would be just our luck if the PSN was hit with a firmware update prior to connecting to the updated store.

Well I was going to say thats what disks are better. You can wake up in the morning and get it. But then if it was on a disk, then it would be released tomorrow. I can't wait another day TBH :)
That'll teach those Aussies for getting Christmas Day earlier than the rest of us!

Oh damn, that is terrible news for you guys. To be fair they didn't say it was going to be released elsewhere apart from Europe and America. Looks like they covered their backs there.
I hope you guys wont have to wait that long. So it basically confirms they are expecting a huge surge of downloads.
I hope for you (and me but I won't be able to play it tonight) that the store really gets update (not like the previous time where WOHD was cancelled without any warnings).
With the release of WOHD and the PSN version of Burnout, I hope Sony anticipated all this.
