If you really want to make it like Wimbledon, you should have seeds - would also solve the problem of top players eliminating each other in the first round!
Oh, and I'm in - doubt I'll make it into the post-September rounds anyway, but will cross that bridge if I come to it.

I'll check Connavar website and i'll try to attribute seeds according to the overall rankings of this website. oh btw just 2 another things before i'll go to bed lol; you could choose a no barrel roll race too, and fury extension isn't a requirement. Oh and i would like to know if you guys are seeing a particular interest for elimiator mode addition into these cup settings. argh bed time

thanks for joining guys! Just an important thing regarding the schedule, and how the 1st round will take place (noticed some misunderstandings there) :
As soon as we'll reach the 64 pilots limit, I'll draw lots (seeds system based on Connavar's rankings). Then you'll have 2 weeks or maybe a little more to arrange a meeting with your opponent. When you want. No obligation to be connected a particular time or anything, as it's an head to head competition (just like the nba playoffs or a tennis tournament). You'll just have to report the result here or directly to me.

My pleasure Hacenetchik! I'm still thinking about the rules, and as some of you guys already told me, I'm finally not sure eliminator mode is a good addition to this cup, as no one demonstrated any interest for it. So I'm asking the question :
Does someone care about eliminator? if not we'll only keep zone battle, with a 25 zone limitation.

Question to kanar....you said you will do the seeding based on connavers site.
but isnt connavers site completly out of date unless you update your own times which most players may not be doing or have i got this wrong..

i think i will update my times now on conavars site..who knows i may be the world number one for all i know..:p but it would more likely that i am the pope.
Oh just got a nice input from Fyue on wipeoutarena.net, and he tried to explain me zone battle mode lol. Well from what I'm understanding, main interest of this mode remains in the higher targets. Soooo, the zone target limitation I talked about earlier will be optional, that is to say it will be activated only in case of disagreement regarding round choices with your opponent. So everyone is, once again and from what I know, happy:)

what happens when we ( we meaning me ) go out first round? is that it? or will we race the other losers to see who is king of all losers! :lol
eh eh, well, it could be funny to organise a "sunday cup" between all the 1st round defeated pilots (I'd probably join it too nutcase lol). But I'm not sure everybody would be up for that, and what about the pilots eliminated after round 2 btw lol. sure thing though, we'll have a little final for 3rd place.
What happens if a player disconnects? Does it count as a loss? Or will there be a mutual agreement whether to play the race again or not?
thanks for asking this question DP, was thinking about this possible issue today. Well hopefully this is not a tournament based competition, so disconnections shouldn't be a major issue. Just in case, opponents should be able to agree with at least 1 disconnection hazard each other. Maybe two if the psn is encoutering big issues by the time they're racing. So yes, I'll keep 1 disconnection hazard possibility in the rules, first post.
