Well , as some people saw on wipeout hd videos thread , i joined problemsolver on zone 160 . So i can put some cool numbers here :cowboy
Zone 160 means about :
110 laps
almost 27 minutes of playing
total distance of 549 km (341 miles)
Speed of 2004 km/h (1245 miles/h)
and 1 136 548 343 speed pads (lol don't know if this is my ps3 , but that number become bugged after zone 146-147)
and that was my best feeling ever on zone mode . zone 150 to 160 are so exciting , but problemsolver is right , u must don't have any cardiac problem , i remember i could feel clearly beatings of my heart ... disturbing :rock

I played a few games of wipeout again. and damm i forgot how good it feels!
after a few games of vineta k zone mode i thought, lets try and mesure my hart rate while gaming.
i got a 66 av while just sitting. so i tryed it on and went racing. And when i was realy in the zen feeling(zone 30+-) i heard some beeps, it was the hart indicator telling me i went below 40 beets a min. After I got into the high zones my hart rate went up a little, and came to a hold around 80. i got a av hart rate that game of 70.
one othere thing, this is the only game, were i forget to breath, i realy have to manualy breath to get air, realy anoying ;)
got to zone 79 on vk and did a perfect lap there, at that point i wanted to see how mutch hp i got, and a sec later i died from around 15 crashes.....
hapens to me alot.... i have to tell myself at high levels, dont look at the hp indicator or you lose hp. some how i always look, and always lose hp or die.... I even tryed puting something infront of my TV to block it, but that was even a bigger distraction :brickwall.

Yup, every time. Always looking everywhere but at where the ship is supposed to be going :P
Have you tried maybe using the W3O or the 2097 HUD choices instead of WOHD HUD? They are less intrusive and the 2097 HUD doesn't even show a number for your shield, just a random guage thing.

oh yes im using a diverent hud, i think it is 2097, with the score on the left and the healt bar on the right.
the HD hud made it harder for the times i go down slopes, and that hapens in vk.
btw yeldar2097, nice beating me on that track! now I want level 100 even more XD
Oh man I was so close to Talon record. I was passed the hairpin with maybe 1 shield left. If I hadn't choked on the final bend then there was alot of track left to get points before any tricky corners. Pitching up definitely helps on the tight corner.

i noticed after supersonic theme is another theme that looks almost like mach 1 theme
but it's not as dark as mach 1, so it must be mach 2 theme :)

I've noticed that myself. I always think it's either a revert to Zen, or in the same way that you have a black course upon starting a reverse track ZB/Zone. So it's either Sub-Sub-Venom, or Hypersonic.
on normal tracks there is no difference between supersonic theme and mach 2 theme
I though I could share this moment with you guys:
Just had a few races with the minimalistic WO3 HUD, SFX turned almost off and music volume on maximium playing Daft Punk’s TRON Legacy Soundtrack. It’s like racing a light cicle on high speeds – especially when the whole track is filled with neon stripes only. It was awesome :D
just watched TRON Legacy on thursday 27th in 3D of course.
i've had no idea how great a motion picture soundtrack could be :)
i bought the soundtrack direct after the movie, and i am listening to it the whole day since then. it's my new wipEout HD playlist too, zone is so amazing with it

I meant to mention something but forgot. About a week ago I was playing Zone battle online. I forget which track, I was a bit drunk, it was one of the normal HD tracks though. I boosted off the track at about zone 40 and died.
When I re-spawned the colours were those of Supersonic on the Zone tracks, the lovely gold colour. It only lasted a few seconds and I didn't get a chance to take a picture, shame because it looked awesome 8)

Slightly off the origional topics, but still interesting. I've heard a few people talking about what Mach 2 would look like, but my belief was that Mach 2 fell under the realm of Super Sonic speeds, and you wouldn't get another colour until Hyper Sonic. Given that Hyper Sonic begins after you hit Mach 5, I did a bit of maths to work out at what approximate zone level that was assuming the accelleration rate that we knew for sure.
Unfortunately for those looking for a new colour scheme, even if it does exist within the realms of Studio Liverpool to have implemented it, Hyper Sonic won't kick in until Zone 431.
