never dared to even try it :lol

People eat chocolate covered peanuts, so I can't see anything wrong with that in theory. Although I can imagine it would look hideous, given that one looks like something that comes out the end of a human, and the other looks like something that comes out the other end of a human. Not a pretty combo.
Well, it isn't.
And I LIKE Marmite. On buttered toast.
Bread + Butter + Marmite + Bacon = <3
I'm not into Vegemite. Tastes different... like week old pants dipped in compost.
same with me Rachel(well when I used to eat meat), loved Marmite, Bacon and melted cheese on toast, I think we used to call them mousetraps, such a distinct and delicious taste : )
lol doc marts
if they gave a dam they'd be wearing vegan leather pfft

My wife would have loved that!!!:blarg but not me!!!

What about Bovril?
(I had to put it in bold to emphasize its manliness :P )
Marmite + Bacon + Cheeze. Never heard of that. Must be some sort of Kiwi thing.
Vegimite + Tomato sauce + Cheeze is good, taste better when you are using good bread too.
@ mdhay - You never know. ;)
Marmite, Bacon AND cheese, eh? Sounds reet tasty. I'll have to give it a go.
Another thing I like Marmite with is, believe it or not, Nutella. It has a similar 'twang' to peanut butter, but with an extra richness. I can never eat too much of it though. If you can eat more than two sandwiches of it, I'll give you a pat on the back and a t-shirt.
@ yeldar2097 - That's one thing I've still not tried, can you believe... O_o I like drinking gravy though if that counts?
Im going to have some of this new Vegimite on some toast for dinner (CBF cooking).
Vegimite rules :rock Even Gordon Ramsay thinks its better than Marmite, pow! Take that.
@ Rachel
yeh when I was a kid instead of pouring gravy on my meat'n veg I'd pour it in my glass some times to drink, pissed off my Mum
& you really should try Mousetraps, just put butter and Marmite on the toast, then little strips of bacon on top, the then a cover in thin slices of cheese then grill
(btw not advocating eating meat here, just y'know if you have too)
also anyone tried Marmite and Marmalade on toast?, I used to love the stuff :D
& @ Yelder
yeh Bovril's awesome, Sharp sort of refined taste, sort of thing I'd imagine the old english military having on toast in the morning
I think they still sell it in the cute little jars they sold it in when I'd have it at me Nan's, like 20 years ago
*feels old*

Edit:
just another reason to not like Ramsey ;)
hey KIGO whats 'CBF cooking'
thanks
Gordon Ramsey. hmf. The day I agree with him would be a rare day indeed.
And anyway, the subject of preferred food is about just that, preference. Why would anyone else's favourite mean that it was mY favourite? No amount of vote counting of favourites is going to make something taste better or worse to me.
'CBF Cooking' means his Mum still cooks his dinner for him, and wipes his arse. Awww, bless :beer lol
CBF stands for "Can't be ****ed" Mus ;)
Hey when will you be visiting down under and NZ Mus? Ill be waiting :D
I love gravy too but I can't say I drink it as such...
I usually end up getting very frustrated trying to get every last drop on my plate using a fork.
Fork + liquid = lose :P
@zer0shen: Yeah I don't think I've ever seen a pot of Bovvers that looks younger than 30 years old ;)
I went out with friends to Kobe Steak House Saturday night. Had chicken and scallops with the house 'white sauce'. One of those places where an athletically talented [and funny] cook prepares the meal on a huge hotplate [a la plancha] that's part of the dining table. It was yummy. And a nice break from cooking my own meals.
Kobe beef is good **** :D
