Coulnd't find them all at youtube, sorry ;)

Hoxton Whores - Friday Saturday Love (Original Vocal Mix)

Awesome to see other peoples' music suggestions-- so far iTunes has made about $100 from this as I've bought songs or full CDs from Paul van Dyk, Chemical Brothers, Fluke, Junkie XL, Mason, Paul Kalkbrenner and others. Generally I prefer to buy physical CDs but for this kind of stuff-- mostly European releases that I may only want individual songs from-- iTunes is perfect.
I think the next groups I will check out is Orbital plus some of the more obscure stuff that is mentioned above.
Thanks again!
Frances, if you're interested in Orbital, I'd have to recommend albums called In Sides and Snivilisation. They're the best ones out there, pure Orbital, although I like The Altogether and Work 1989-2002 too really much. Well, to tell the truth, I haven't heard a bad track from Orbital yet. :)
Excellent, thanks for the tip, Shozo! I'm going to look up some of those on iTunes later tonight or tomorrow :)
Wipeout has definitely broadened my musical horizons over the past year or two!
+1 on Orbital's 'In Sides'. Really excellent album.
I've found that, to provide a satisfying, slightly comic, surprise to the usual soundtrack, throwing in Yello's "The Race" can't be beat. Discerning cinema-goers may recognise it from the classic "Nuns On The Run. Awesome.
My goodness, what the hell did I just watch?!!! :dizzy
:D
Ha! You thought that was weird, I just tried out a dance version of Copacabana (White Label Ultimix - apparently) in Moa Therma, literally awesome.
At the moment I have Kayo Dot (http://www.last.fm/music/Kayo+Dot) and At The Drive-In (http://www.last.fm/music/At+the+Drive-In) in my playlist. It's certainly a different Wipeout expierence...
This is probable wipeout-blasphemy but I've got Queen, Gorrilaz, foo fighters, snow patrol(*gasp*) and canon rock in my wipeout pulse folder.
(I can feel my reputation crashing into the red as I write this)
Blasphemy as in having guitar-based music in your Wipeout playlist or just plainly bad bands? ;)
I kid.
Queen? Don't Stop Me Now? That would actually be cool.
Strangely it is "don't stop me now" I sing along using my wipeout lyrics though,You can see them here
Dieselboy - Dungeon Masters Guide.
24 tracks of pure drum and bass.
Sometimes swap it for The 6th Session by DB
What else can your ask for?
...
oh yeh, to be allowed more than the 30 track limit, so both albums can be put on
But seriously, Dieselboy is just PERFECT for Wipeout, well in my opinion anyway.

there was a couple of Fly Leaf songs my friend was playing while i was on pulse and that fitted the racing pretty well
i havent put any custom songs in yet but im thinking of some psytrance
//side note
would it be illegal to rip the music from the UMD to listen on my ipod? cos i have the pure, 2097 and 3 soundtracks on it and i own all those games, just wondering what the legal side is on this
cheers
Coming from someone who is against piracy and all that, I don't see the problem. They haven't bothered to release it on CD and furthermore you paid for that UMD fair and square so why not? Old games worked as CDs. I'll be extracting the tunes myself before long cos I doubt the CD is on the horizon and some of these tunes are not findable elsewhere.
i dont think any will be released else where because theyre all 'exclusives' as far as i know
it would be awesome though if they released a pack with a book of artwork backstory etc, and cds with all the soundtracks on, id love something like that
plus if you rip the ST you can work out which tunes to turn off then, or close your eyes and pretend your racing :P
link removed.
i got it from another member but nice one for posting that link :)
//Triple Lei
it is possible to rip the umd iso and get the music that way but recording on a line-in is easier
You have got to be kidding me, insertcoin.
What? You can just rip the Pulse soundtrack and post it on this site for the world to download and I'm going to be fine with that?
Words fail me... like... like... like your login is going to fail you for the next three months.
I race with random songs on with the Pulse soundtrack (which is superior to pure's in my opinion)
and two of my favorite Autechre albums, "amber" and "incunabula"...
both of which go GREAT with the darker edge of Wipeout Pulse..
custom soundtracks for the win!
I have to say I've never experienced anything like Phantom Eliminator mode to the soundtrack of Prokofiev's Montagues and Capulets Suite. It makes me feel like I'm creating a work of art as I race. Extremely strange sensation to a wipeout race.
Currently have these besides the std. Pulse tracks:
London Elektricity - Round The Corner
Pendulum - Slam
Pendulum - Through The Loop
Pendulum - Hold Your Colour
Aphex Twin - Xtal
Aphex Twin - Supremacy II
Aphex Twin - Afx 237 V.7
Aphrodite - Cool Fight
Prodigy - Voodoo People
Still need to choose some more tracks to expand the soundtrack
Here is my custom soundtrack .
Most of them are from anime shows, Some from games like Silent Hill.

I recall liking Night of Fire from Initial D a lot, good racing music for me. Never thought about using Neverending Story for racing, but it's still one of my favourite songs.
Mostly use Neverending Story (Eurodance Remix) for Zone Tracks.
Heres the link of the song on youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ug5WPiWZm4Y
Strange song to race to i agree but i feel, it helps me to relax for Zone races.
Might seem odd to some given the usual WO music but here's what I've got at the moment:
Metallica - The memory remians, Welcome Home Sanitarium, Whisky in the Jar
Ratt - Round and Round
Scorpions - Rock you like a Hurricane (two 80's cheesefests for you there :p)
Pearl jam - Even Flow, Black
AFI - Miss Murder
This is my soundtrack:
MKL- Control
Chem Bro's-Under the Influence

Orbital - know wher to run
Lethal cut

Megadeth - Duke Nukem
Dragon Force - Valley of the Damned & Through the Fire and Flames
Cradle of Filth - The foetus of a new day kicking
Trivium - A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation
Thats all so far I like heavy rock more than any over type of music.
Do you remember the game Product Number 03 for Gamecube? I have the soundtrack and many of the tracks fit perfectly in Wipeout.
Also FFVII Advent Children soundtrack has a couple of good tracks, such as
Jenova, or Chase in the Highway.
I finally got the custom soundtrack to work :D

The Prodigy - Under My Wheels [Remix]
The Prodigy - Voodoo Beats
The Prodigy - Voodoo People [Pendulum Remix]
Zanzibar - Global Experience
this is all you need to see for my soundtrack. I personally think fenix funk 5 was a poor choice of an aphex twin song to put in game, i would have went with something off drukqs, namely "54 cymru beats" or "taking control"
but then again, theres just sooo much goodness to aphex twin you couldnt possibly pick one "Best" song of his to use.
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2euhe9j&s=3
ps- that is only a portion of my collection, much more vinyl and another hoodie as well
I pulled all of my MP3s and had been racing to the pack-in soundtrack for awhile. For whatever reason I threw Good Luck - Basement Jaxx in the folder tonight. LOL. Pulled my best speed lap time on Outpost 7 black shortly after. :cowboy
I can't remember all of the songs I use (think I have the maximum 30), but the following go really nicely with Pulse:
Battles - Atlas
Moby - Feeling so real
Moby - Go
FSOL - Papua new ginuea
Pendulum - Sounds of life
Pendulum - Hold your colour
Squarepusher - Do you know?
In fact, anything from the "Hold your colour" album by Pendulum goes remarkably well.
Racing on Atlas from Battles ? Sounds odd but still have to try this… Well that band is just fantastic, might be my stand out discovery from 2007. And i'm not even talking about their previous releases… Somewhere between mathrock, electronics and free-jazz .
Do you know Black Dice, by the way ? A little more radical, but really worth a hearing.
