Kai : Rendez-vous

Yeah Stephen, i never saw you in such a low critical shield :g
We decided to race without tip with 3 different ships ( Sox in Harimau :rolleyes:, RR in Assegai and me in flying Feisar :) ) 1st race of Alpha , shield critical end of lap1, finishing last 10 sec difference with the leader... i said holly S**** i am gonna spend a terrible night but surprising that was completely the opposite: i only got eliminated 1 time on 6 tours. Actually since Feisar got a poor acceleration i was always last after the starting and watched in 1st row the amazing battle Sox and RR had, so plenty of time i was passing them with no real shield damage ( they were swallowing every weapons to survive so i took advantage of that)
Sinuccit and PK i finished the race alone... lack of opponents ( where did they gone? :g )
Here's result of the 6 tours we had ( correct me if i am wrong guys): i finished 1st on alpha, beta and classique1, i tied gamma with RR, a tie with Sox in Delta and solid last ( bronze !!! :beer ) in Classique2.

I really enjoyed that night and can't wait to play another session tonight.

We were till 6 for this Revival Kai session : Tom, RR, Sox, Dag, RCH ( Ricochet a young american we played years ago) and me.
That was very intense races we did from Flash to phantom with many explosions ( shall i reckon Feisar was not in the glory last night ? , lol)

Jeez... I'm really impressed by the framerate of the game, in fact (& your ability of course, but I knew that)... compared with this laggy sissy pulse! (quoting rapier). Maybe I'll give pure a try, if HD is still delayed...

Whahaaaha, so many DNF's:robot that must have been so much fun!:g Aza got disconnected? Or did RR shoot him with a plasma just totally out of the game? lol.:dizzy

I got a big disconnexion actually; my ship was parked on the grid with a text saying ' waiting for ' and no names written under ...weird , but my screen wasn't frozen at all , i was watching all the race of Seb Climb so after the end of their race i was obliged to disconnect myself from the tour , shame :(

ARG!!!!!!! I so wanna set up my PSP for Pure play. Is there a way to play without getting a wireless adapter?

I havent tried Pure online, only Pulse. The vets of the game keep telling me it is the better than Pulse online, gotta try it sometime soon. How does online Pure work anyhows? Can you use the expansion packs online too? Cause i might be interested to go online in the very near future. Listen to some Cold Storage and Oblivion too:P

Nice to see you active on the forum again Steven (or was it Stephen?:bomb)! I'm thinking Saturday evening (late evening for you) sometime - pretty much the old classic time frame (5pm EST/10 or 11 GMT) or Sunday...

I want to get a Pure/pulse session in with RJ soon before he leaves though to... hmm, maybe I can 'kill two birds with one stone' if we meet in a public place with free internets..:D

Edit: It will most likely be Sunday for me actually, my family makes plans and assumes I already know them :p (perhaps monday as well)

The problem here is I haven't found a good meeting spot near where I am, but maybe the Hampton Inn LITERALLY down the road will suffice. I actually walked around the lobby and I would gladly spend $90 for a night there.

okay I still have yet to take pure online!! what is it I need other than my linksys that I already have???

Assuming you've got your PSP and your copy of WipEout Pure ready to go, you'll also need your pc to be connected to the internet via ethernet cable, a wifi card (or usb dongle) with promisc mode (such as the old wifimax) and you need the X-Link Kai tunnel software installed on your pc. There's a whole thread somewhere in the Pure section of the forum dedicated to help people go online with pure and X-Link Kai, but I can't find it right now and gave up searching the forums for now cause I have to wait 30 sec after every keyword search I did.... :|

And you can always check out the teamxlink website borell gave here in this thread a page earlier (post number 1107) for more information on X-Link Kai...

oh okay... I've just realized that it wouldn't be good getting it until I got back from my deployment anyway... leaving in two weeks... so by the time I got it if I got it in time, I would hardly be able to figure out then use it... I'll just wait 4 and a half months... :/

Hmm, I might be able to make it friday night - much later saturday and sunday though..

I'll be online friday as I said from 9 pm GMT+1. I'll stay in the wipeout pure arena and will be happy for everyone joining me there. Since I don't have to get up early on saturday I'll be able to stay online for quite some time. The same is due for saturday and sunday, but on sunday I can't be online too long because I've got an early appointment on monday morning...

Are there even events going on any more at X-Link?
