Medusa, I wasn't trying to offend anybody (sorry if I did) or deny that Pulse has had hackers ruining the game, but I think that that must have been something that was around before I got the game. Maybe they came back or something (I haven't played in a few months), but I was online so much in 2009 and much of 2010 that I'm sure I'd have seen at least one if they were still about. What I have seen often though, is players accused of cheating just for being fast (including in the "Online Meetings, Pulse" thread, minutes after the post in this thread), and I've been accused of it too before. It could be considered quite insulting, especially after you've put hundreds of hours into learning the game. But rather than get my gears ground over it, I just don't take it too seriously. And I did ask Bom who they were, in case it actually was some random hacker, rather than a legit player who I'd know.
I'm particularly pissed off at the moment. I took my only controller round my mates house on NYE and now it's disappeared. He's looked everywhere and I know I didn't bring it back here. It also had a keyboard attached to it and Gran Turismo was with it too, so I've lost £100 worth of stuff and I can't play the PS3, or watch any films.
Absolutely gutted. And I'm skint so I can't afford a replacement controller. :frown:
I think I'm thankful that there are no forum games on this forum,or else I may have gone insane.
LARGE numbers of people are teaming up against me.
Why? I hate it when LARGE amounts of people are teaming up against you. And the people teaming up against you are your friends. They are willing to discard values/friends for gain.
I guess this is the real %$@&ing world. I think I should maintain my cynicism. And I'm going on 15. I really wonder if I should cry out loud or laugh out loud(like a villain)
If someone's willing to 'discard' you for some gain for themselves then they probably weren't a friend in the first place. Better off without them. When it comes to friendships I'm starting to think maybe we just have to not expect to much from people and try to remember the reason we're friends with them in the first place so that we don't end up 'discarding' them for small things before they get a chance to show more good things about themselves. Just a(nother) random thought there.
I think I'm carrying over my cynicism from last year. I've been backstabbed a lot. And I really feel that most are just my "friends" to sap out what I have, leaving me to die when I run out(like parasites).
Hah, you should see my XBL reputation! Currently, 75% of people who gave me a rating said that I was 'unsporting'. I don't play in an unsporting manner in any shape of the word, I just think the little kids that make up most of Xbox Live got upset that they were beaten by somebody.
This also grinds my gears. Why do people feel the need to criticise people who play video games better than they do? Why not, you know, get better at said game?
@ FEISAR - the point is that anyone like that is not your friend. It seems that perhaps these are just people who you happen to be around, possibly due to school? I'm guessing at this so forgive me if I'm wrong. Maybe you should try some new things and to meet some new people. You have lots of time to make friends. I don't have many IRL, partly because I have been so cynical, sarcastic, and generally lacking faith in people. If this forum shows you anything then hopefully it is that there are people who share interests with you. You have time to potentially meet similar people around you and eventually develop a close group of friends. This would be far more beneficial than a large group of people who you constantly have to sacrifice a part of yourself to get along with. It won't happen straight away, but perhaps it's something to aim for rather than regretting the situation you are in now. A lesson I'm only just starting to learn myself, at almost twice your age.
I thought it was usually the year of somebody's birth that they put on the end of their PSN ID. That guy was certainly behaving appropriately for that to be the case. :D
If a baby was able to form death threats and sentences a day before its year of birth then fair play a talking baby! , i would be highly impressed, tut tut. all these youths growing up so fast with their hoodies and gang violence, :g wouldn't have happened in my day :P
*I Mean death threats are bad obviously but if a 0year old did it you'd be like "Whoah WTF?"
I could care less...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHH
Hahaha! That one's been making me all "!!!??!!?!!!!" recently too, Darkdrium. It's everywhere! It's even worse than apostrophes for plural, "then" instead of "than", "should of", etc.! :bomb
Don't forget "one of the only"!

I'd like to ask you for a bit of lenience with us non-native speakers in this case. we mostly learn phrases like that from movies and chatting online. Both of which (see this is another example I dont know if this phrase really works but have heard it used before) are places where grammar and proper spelling (or wording) are secondary to getting a message across.
So please dont be too annoyed at us for making these mistakes
Oh but you can be as annoyed as you like about native-speakers making them, or at least I cant speak in their defence, or would know how to defend it.
Oryx is right, it is actually more difficult for people whose native language is not English. I have learned English in school, but that was years ago ... and many special terms or expressions are unknown to me at all.
I read a lot of english literature, but before I signed up in the zone, I simply had a lack of practice. Therefore, I beseech you, be lenient with us.
The interesting - especially in Germany - is, that a lot of anglicisms are embedded in our vernacular. A lot of people in our country even prefer to swear in english! It sounds pretty cool for them, and they´ve learned it almost from movies, I guess. Furthermore, there are many terms here that are used only in english. A tribute to a wonderful language!
Therefore, it grinds my gears, that I´m not as good in english as I could be!
When you use words like 'beseech', 'anglicisms' & 'vernacular' i don't think you have anything to worry about language wise Flint ;)
lol one of the only, i guess it makes sense but it wouldn't work in the song :g
"I AMMMMMMMMMMMMM THE ONE OF THE ONLY!"
@Oryx and Flint
Your English is very good though; better than most native speakers. ;)
It seems that people who learn English as a second language usually make an effort to learn it properly (Darkdrium speaks French as his first language, I think). It's nearly always people who speak English as their first language that do these things (which encourages others to do them too), which is why it can be irritating! :lol
But yes, getting a message across is most important.
edit: Nutcase, it's that "one of the only" should be "one of the few" (simplest way to correct it), so don't worry, the song can remain intact! :D
I consider it a very minor error, but it's not technically correct to say it.
I posted that because I go to a game forum where technically it should be only US-Americans (and Canadians) posting there and they all say "I could care less" when in fact it's "I couldn't care less" that they mean. They all do! It annoys me to no end because I want to reply to each and every single one of them that they just said they care a bit about whatever they actually don't care about!
Anywho is another one that drives me up the walls. I'm guessing most of you have heard of "hotforwords" on Youtube. Yes, it's most likely that her fans don't watch her because she's a self proclaimed linguist. But ok, let's say she is a linguist. She said anywho?!? ****!
Thank you mr Alex :) I do know that I make mistakes though especially with idiomatic expressions (cant speak for flint on this one obviously) and well all I'm saying really, and this goes to darkdrium too, is: Remember that if you see these mistakes on here it could be because, for some of us it's a problem of just not ever having known whats the right way to say these things as we have never been exposed to the language in that everyday setting (even if I do agree that "could care less" sounds bloody stupid when you consider what the words actually mean) not the way you guys have.
As for that other forum darkdrium they are native speakers in a sense, so be as harsh as you like, I certainly wont defend their right to violate their own language out of ignorance.
