9000 Miles Undercover OST-Pendulum
I usually listen to my music while playing WHD now, or simply relaxing and tuning out. While looking around the web I usually have a news, lecture, debate, podcast, audiobook, or youtube video going in the background, to fill in all those mindless gaps waiting for pages to load with something that makes me feel smart.
I'm listening to Mark Kermode's film reviews from BBC's Five Live right now. Yeah, it's Friday, so I'm not trying to feel that smart.;)
Just kidding. Actually I mean the Jap trio named Boris (or BORIS, or boris, depending the genre of the album...).
These guys (and girl) play everything from metal to laid back experimental-jazzy-sounding stuff...okay I know that's not a genre. ;)
Try listening to "Statement" or "Rattlesnake" for metal, "Farewell" for Mogwai type sounds, and "Rainbow" - because it's just beautiful.

Now playing: Boris with Michio Kurihara - Rainbow

I got some grief for using Boris - Korosu in a wipeout youtube video. I didn't get it myself. I felt the tempo worked perfectly.
I tend to hum quietly to myself for much of the day. That way I can 'listen' to music in my own head and still hear the world around me. Not wearing headphones helps me survive as I can hear things while I'm out and about, e.g. cars approaching, anvils making that whistling noise as they fall from the sky - pretty standard really. Now that I've been reminded of this tune. I think it's what I'll be listening to in my head for at least the rest of the night.:rock
Anvils, eh? hm... Does a piano make music as it falls? ;)
A classic. Wakko really loved anvils. I've not seen the Animaniacs for a long time, dammit. I wish they'd be shown on broadcast tv around here, since I don't have cable, and don't even know if any cable networks here show them.
Spiderbait - Glockenpop
Vastly different from their rendition of black betty, hard to believe they are from the same band.

Dehli 2 Dublin - Apples
Amazing track
Shpongle - Once Upon The Sea Of Blissful Awareness (Original Mix With Esionjim Outro) :+
I dont know why, but Ive been compelled to Minor Threat lately...NOFX and Operation Ivy...Ahhhh the memories....
Noisia's Remix of Omen (The Prodigy) again, what a masterpiece!
Pendulum - Bacteria Remix
Classic lairy tune this one :g
I used to play this at full volume at 04:00 (in the morning, not during the song :P )back at school to annoy the house matron. She looked (and acted) like voldemort and lived just above my bedsit :twisted
lol that would teach her for letting you stay there, who dose she think she is :D
sketchie - post war animation
She can speak to snakes?
Essential Mix with Hudson Mohawke, live. It started off alright, but with each passing transition I think, "how drunk would I have to be to enjoy this?"
Wolfmother - Cosmic Egg, it's like having a load of new led zep to listen to. I've never heard it before but it's still entirely familiar. That's both good and bad, but it still rocks.:rock
Sublime - saw red :rock
White Heaven - Cold Dimension from one of the rarest albums I've ever found out about in my life. If I was a millionaire maybe I could get a copy. :(
Thank goodness for youtube.
Michio Kurihara=absolute guitar GOD
How is it possible I just found about this guy this year? He's freakin incredible!

Nick Cave is on the radio, dunno what the songs name is, really nice though
lyrics as I hear them :)
:
Her lips as cold as stone
and theirs some things that love won't allow, I held Her hand but I don't hold it now
this her dress I loved best
with blue quilted violets
and their are my many letters torn apart by long fingered hands
I was a cruel hearted man...
yay! go nick cave and radio stations nice enough to play him :hyper
Logistics - Thunderchild
I'd forgotten just how awesome this song is
That song is the dog's bollocks :rock
Haven't heard it in a while but I have some fantastic memories where this song was heavily involved: mainly seeing Logistics live in September.
Best. Day. Ever :g
mmmmmmmmmmmm liquid goodness
"How about the jolly good-old Smurfs" - My Dad.
LOL! Some years ago someone bought the Smurf's Christmas Album. It seems to have become a family tradition. It gets far too much play time, but I feakin' love it.:rock
#Smurfin' around the Christmas tree...doodeedoodeedoodeedoo
Oh dear lord :P
Actually tbh I'd rather listen to smurfs than getting spammed with Norah Jones like I do every year. She drives me insane: Reminds me of getting too hot in the back of an old 7-Series Beamer and chundering all over myself and the seats. :paperbag
That said, family traditions ftw :)
Is it this one: http://bluebuddies.com/Smurfs_Smurf_CDs.htm
:g
:nod That's the one. :g It's awesome! :+
Transformers the movie albums
both movies
the first and REVENGE of the fallen.
Im sorry. But yeah. Something other than the goo goo dolls and other artist. They didn't make the list. When im listening and working out to both albums.
And im including albums i had downloaded. Where their some how marked as "the score" but their tracks i didn't see in the stores to buy the cds.
Nor did i buy them anyway.
You know what the dld(downloaded) means! :)
but to really say great about the music.
If u workout like me. Or game and listen to music at the same time.
Both cds. When it came to them fight scenes n more.
Do something to my head to wake up. More brain cells for eye, hand, and leg movement.
Yeah. Its not all electronic.
But derrick mays the strings of life. Wasn't half or all just electronic detroit techno. Before it was all finished!
