How's it going Torqued? Still running strong I hope...
still good atm. after 2 to 3 months is when most reflows fail. i will gauge my success after then.
im feeling pretty good about it though.
My original fat 60g BC PS3 just got the flashing red light today ...damm it.:frown::(
Luckily I bought an extra 3 year warranty on top of the 1 year I'd get normally so Sony can fix it.
And I mean fix it , not palm me off with some so called refurbished Frankenstation that's made up of parts from other failed units.:nod
I've read some horror stories at the offical PS forum about those units.
lots of ps3 ( the older versions) are dying this year lol i know 3 more people near where i lived that their ps3 died the same way lol
im glad you ps3 is back to life torqued but as i was telling you, be careful as the repair is not permanently it might die someday, after i did research i found the video chipset was the one who died on my ps3, so anyway if i fix it it will surely die in some days :/ im using a friend's ps3 slim atm, i'll buy one soon
It's better to be prepared. The Phats are dying!
I think that a standard phat PS3 is about to die after 2 - 3 years
if operated under normal to heavy load. Boundary cases excluded,
of course.
2-3 to years! I find that wholly unacceptable.
When was the PS3 launched? March 07? **** that is not good news for me and launch model..
