I'll do my best to try and make it Ace. ^^
And because the leaderboards aren't up, I think I need to post this here:
Mallavol: 177269, 70 Zones, 51 Perfect Zones, 22nd Globally.
Beat ya, Hellfire! :D
Gutted, I'm away on 27th. Would have been up for a marathon Z.B session.
oh. So Piranha isnt as heavy as Auricom ?? really? Then the thing is just that Piranha sucks at cornering!:g it just wants to keep straight.
I should be there on 27th.
I'll try and play then. I played a few ZB's with Rezatron the other day and he kicked my ass, I need the practice :P
They 'should' be the same, but I believe they aren't. I did the same like
you back then, but it was way too early to judge upon anything. How
did I noticed it at all? Well, after having gained all the loyalties I played
exclusively with Feisar all the way down. A year later I thought to myself;
man lets tinker around with the other ones just for the sake of it. And it
didn't took too long until I recognized that something was different.
I ask myself whether each ZONE craft draws its characteristics from a
master instance or not? I would say that there is an instance for each
craft / team, meaning the game may handle each craft individually up to
a given point. If you look at it, each craft has a different texture (the
team name, trivial) but also a different engine noise! Hence, the game
differentiate among them in a give way, at least. The question now is
whether they all reference their characteristics from a unique master
instance or if they hold a copy (in some way) on their own making it
possible to tweak it individually?
I'm not saying that each craft has a certain difference with respect to
another one. And it's not like that the steering or whatever is way better
/ worser in comparison. But some crafts do go a lil smoother around a
given track than others. It depends.
But don't trust me, everything might just be my imagination.... :beer
I think it isn't comparable at all since the difference is way beyond.
Congrats! Yeah, in the end, Syncopia 'reduces' to the first chicane. On very
high zones, about zone 130+, the corner entry into first turn is determined
on the short section after the chicane up until the jump. A final small
correction can be made while being airborne, but if the path wasn't already
smooth enough, i.e you have to make too many corrections, the entry into
last corner will be off. To be more precise; the airbrake intensity / sequence
will be off from optimum around last turn. And this error will accumulate in
the process and the speed is way too high to damp it down (due to counter
airbraking for example) leading to a wrong entry into the chicane and as
such to an overuse of the airbrakes exceeding the limits of the craft. Boom!
@Challenger #001: Better posting your records up here and on Connavar's
side. :nod Keep going, mate!
Right, well...I've recently started playing Zone Mode on tracks other than Syncopia, and I've rediscovered my love for Zoning.
However, I tried Modesto Heights F yesterday for the first time since I tried it back when Fury came out: WHAT IS THE FRAMERATE DOING?! Seriosuly :blarg
Perfect lap at Zone 45 though. *beams with pride* :g
Zone seems to time consuming for me but some others like a challenge, But how the hell do you get to zone 140. Its cool but confusing
@yeld (off topic) Wow New veteran...
I got freezing real bad on Metropia R lately. So annoying.
Yeldar and I have been having a little bit of a challenge recently, initiated when I took #19th globally off him at Corridon 12. Just for the record books, got off...
214751pts, 51/80 perfect zones. 12th Global.
*does the victory dance*
Give me roughly 12 minutes, I'm all over it. ^_^
Yeldar you massive b*stard. I managed to get into the top ten on C12, all of 4 hours ago. I was ecstatic, checked to see if the records had updated just now and you've knocked me down to 11th
It was only my second top 10 score :frown:
Good effort though, awesome score you've got there.
Cheers. Incentive to kick it up a notch.
If you want someone to blame you can point the finger at Challenger, it was hit idea :lol
Come play with us ^_^
Thanks I shall :)
Vineta K Rev World Record :)
Oranje Boven ^_^
Keep it up :pirate
Wow, good effort Jav!
Just had a quick go at it. My oh my the first tunnel at 50+ is so lovely.
Yeah good job javariko . I saw your score , it must be a very good one ;)
Well ,finally i made a video of the last pure 4 zone track : mallavol .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qZDj7Voo5w
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LatzpvGKqes
This isn't my best run , but i'm glad to have all pure 4 at zone 100+ on youtube :P . Furthermore i beat the old kingheim's record on mallavol the run before this vid with a 104/85 .
Now i can work on syncopia :cowboy
I decided this week to try and get past Zone 100 on Syncopia for a laugh. Just blew up on 99...not laughing at the moment :brickwall
I thought i'd try the stick and have found it a lot easier and smoother, can't see it replacing the D-pad online though.
Zone 100 at Syncopia's one of those invisible barriers, once you do it though you'll do it all the time :)
I'm struggling with Vineta K at the moment (again). My top 5 scores are all around 149,000, but I know I can get over 160,000. Just need that perfect run.
Invisible barriers! Not more Glitches :D
I hope I have it cracked by the end of the week.
well you know how to handel the high speeds! damm 100+ its nice!
I never came over 84, but that was not on syncopia's. it was on vineta k.
because i like the feel of vineta k alot more, it feels so small and in cockpit view. the feel is just way more intens than the times i tryed syncopia's.
but what zone level do you get, because sometimes i have realy low ones, top 30 or so but higher zones then top 5 players. just keep trying and you will become a mutch older pilot (most die around 10 min ;) of game time.)
next week i have some time left and will do a shot at the 1e place.
btw congratz with the rev 1e place to.
my goal is 100 on vineta k and it will happen.... some day...
Yay me 102 :). I can retire now.
I usually get to about zone 60 - 63. It's probably my least favourite zone track to be honest. I much prefer tracks without BRs because you don't have to balance the BRs with perfect laps, you just concentrate on Sps and clean laps / zones. But that's just me being unable to multi-task :|
Zone 84 @ Vineta K though, that's bloody impressive, well done.
Edit - Oh by the way, I noticed finish-killer has set a new W.R @ Syncopia :eek
I love the tracks where you can BR... makes it so much easier to get a better score for people like me who can't cope with ridiculous speeds :3
And well done KGB, that's a benchmark I need to achieve some time soon myself! :P
Ha, "Double Zeus". Yeah Finish-killer's score is absurd, especially as he "only" got to zone 151. Just think, if you combined his run (135 perfects) with PS's last run (zone 160), you'd surely have something unbeatable.
ProblemSolver, get to work :g
Yeah !!!! zone 152 clear :g . Still far away killer and pbs , but woaw :rock
Now i understand pbs when he said "this is a binary situation" . I was middle shield enter zone 150 . I almost made a perfect lap on 152 , but miss the last turn ... = dead :blarg . Anyway i'm glad to join the "double zeus crew" :banzai
That must be like the "300mph club" for zone, an exclusive club indeed. Good effort Wotan :)
I'd practice Syncopia more except it takes so long per run!
If anyone has any videos of Talons Junction, I'd love to see them. I've no idea how to do the tightest corner on it after maybe 5 laps or so. The top scores must have atleast 7 or 8 perfect laps no?
Oh yeah THAT corner, one of the hardest corners in the game on zone, up there with that awful one @ Chenghou. I can only recommend getting as tight as possible to the outside wall on your approach and really throwing it round. Maybe with a sideshift chucked in for good measure (he says, haha).
I know what you mean about the time taken for Syncopia, but I've got a craving for it now, gonna do a few runs this weekend :)
Oh yeah cheers for reminding me about Talons :) I still had to do that one and just set new WR, 57/36. My first mistake came in Super Phantom, quite chuffed with that. The corner is a lil' bitch, on the higher speeds you must stay as far to the left as possible, then swing your craft to the right, but it requires perfect timing. And a nice little side-shift of course.
Sorry didn't film it :(
Well done mate :clap
How on earth did you manage to get to Super Phantom without rinsing yourself on that corner o_O
I ate it at Zone 17 :brickwall.
Oranje boven now though, the way it should be. Orange people everywhere :pirate
Mach 1 on Chenghou Project Reverse :hyper
Had a quick go at TDRR, closing in on Supersonic :pirate
Jesus Yeldar, your nailing Zone :clap
Damn Yeldar, breaking records all over the place. Good stuff :)
Cheers ^_^
Just got Supersonic Amphiseum :g
