... sounds familiar :D
You were online a lot today and I didn't see you in any of the rooms - lately it's been a wild goose chase with you Zoners ;)
I've just had enough of being pushed around, period, in any ship - every time I try counter-ramming I feel like I'm trying to push a Yokozuna, yet the other ships seem to have little trouble grinding down my shields to about 5% before I'm halfway done with lap one. :/Quote:

It's just like WO1 - Feisar, AG-S and Auricom as the big dogs and Qirex as a total non-factor. :g (No offense team Qirex, but it's true.)
And what was this about FEISAR? ;)
Glad to have a fast teammate then! And yes, the fact that Feisar and AG-SYS are a bit overpowered is becoming more and more apparent these days...
The difference in top speed is so small nowadays that I wonder if that statistic is even relevant...:/
I’d also like to thank all the racers eLhabib mentioned (and eLhabib himself of course). Some great races and it was awesome for me to see so many great pilots all in one place. Really hard work for me just trying to keep up with you guys, but I had massive fun trying!
I sometimes can’t believe how good value Wipeout really is. Surely something this fun should be more expensive!
Wow, saw you all online pretty much all evening, yet somehow managed to catch only a few of you... :(
Will try and make a bigger effort tomorrow :)
Awesome races today, with some of the greatests. Thanks to Elhabib, Wellington, Wotan, Hellfire, Stin, Akro2, Luxoflux, Alejess, Asymel, T-rex and some others i don't remember the name. Cheers :beer
Thanks everyone for the sessions this afternoon, especially Luxoflux, who i had some intense 1on1 battles with! Also, I am proud to state that today I aquired the AG Assassin Trophy - the real, non set-up=cheating way - with a full on plasma hit on T-Rex :D Just feels som much more satisfying when those 50 kills actually stand for people that were shot in a race ;)
Great racing this afternoon. Those races with eLhabib were close indeed. And everyone who joined later: Thanks for racing and race you all later :)
Elhabib you are a pirate ! :lol I just put you as Friend today ! Is that your friendly welcome ?
Nevermind T-Rex will survive. Congratulations for your trophy. Awesome races with 8 skilled pilots, that’s great moments. Thanks all. :+
Great mini-Avalon session with Wotan, Kaori, Wellington and Asayyeah (and Del Stepho who left after two races).
My consistency was impeccable. I thought I'd never stop finishing 5th! :lol
No, you finish twice 4th :D
Wellington was too fast today, first, England-France, then, my mini-avalon... He don't let us beat him! Good game :D
Del Stepho often have connexion mistake...:frown:
See you soon!
cheers to wellington, djkyoto, luciflux, kgb, soccermoms, and someone i think iver forgotten :):beer
First tourny was nuts. 8 races with me, wellington and djkyoto on 24 points! table put me on top despite finishing 4th, as they were 6th and 7th :D:beer thought i was totally done for.
I (and some other 'Zoners in my room) encountered a special kind of idiot player today: his name was WildWise, and as soon as he discovered that he was nowhere near capable of actively racing us, this poor individual decided it would be fun (for him) to drive in the opposite direction, taking potshots at the people who were still racing. He devastated some of the very intense battles we had for positions, and wouldn't leave after I told him twice, in a nice manner, that his 'style of play was not appreciated in my room'. Instead, this moron even had the nerve to answer my message by saying 'what can you do about it?' !!! What a crackhead. I told him what I can do: leave the room and take my friends with me (which actually included everybody in the room except him :P) to a new, friends only room.
Anyway, things like that make me wish there was a kick option...
So, if you come across WildWise online, you have been warned.
thanks to luxoflux for kicking my *ss 12 times. LOL, I need training.
Cheers for the races haydn, wellington, luxo, kgb, etc.
On that 8 race tourney after haydn left, I think you guys turned on me, I got eliminated in 4 of the last 5 races. You guys are so mean! :frown:
On the upside, I smashed my SB Rev WR twice.
1.57.24 is pretty damn fast :):beer
I thought i could catch the previous one, after finally nailing what racing lines I was meant to be doing and got 3rd... but the bars been raised ever so slightly now!!
Its Wellingtons Chenghou Reverse im worried about being there for aaaages. I had first with a 2.00.44 about 3 weeks ago. How am I going to get lower than 1.58.14 :paperbag:eek
Some news for you guys, I`m now officially as stin_wz, no change here!:P but most importantly, my son is huteer on HD, so you will recognise him eventually and I have to warn you guys, he is also a dangerous player!:cold
Trust me on this one.
Btw, he is only 12yrs old!
stevie:pc
WELLINGTON! you must not say this is your first experience with WO! too fast. do you race almost every race with perfect laps?! good races guys , even though i am racing like garbage lately. i fear im just no good anymore
There was a tournament with you guys I was in a couple of nights ago. Even though I came last in every race, I smashed all my records. Now thats saying something about the level of quality the Zoners here have. Astonishing TBH. Glad to be racing with you guys, competition has never been so good :)
@TheFrostE, I fully completed Wip3out (possibly more than once actually) and absolutely loved it. I also bought and played Fusion, but I stopped playing it before I completed it. The thing is that there were six or seven years between the last time I played Fusion and when I began playing HD, and at no time has it felt as though I'm re-learning something I used to be able to do, especially since the physics etc have no doubt changed a lot since then as well. I've had to learn it from scratch, which is why I can talk about a time when I was useless at HD and thought I would never even get the Platinum, let alone be competing for records.
As for perfect laps, I don't know if I regularly get them because I don't really pay attention to them. As you will know very fast times can be attained regardless of scraping the sides every lap. My guess is that the answer to your question is no, I don't finish most races with 5 perfect laps (or even 3).
To everyone who I have raced in recent days my thanks for all the great racing. It's been a very busy Christmas period for the Wipeout addicts. May it continue!
truly a crazy pilot , and hats off to a fellow feisar pro pilot. racing you against my very own team has inspired me to take on the TT boards with my XL favorite Qirex. dedicated to my best wipeout bud who lives about 30 minutes from me and accompanied me to the last WO convention in VT Ag Wolf 2097. i know you dont have a ps3 but im going to do the purple brick proud for a little bit!
again thank you everybody for the races today, and another thanks to wellington for pushing that much harder on the track to inspire others :) !
100% agree TheFrostE, wellington is just a level upper than everybody was in the room yesterday.
you can see his feisar during quite some time until the first smash into a wall, and then, you can kiss him goodbye cause he didnt crashed, and probably wont till the end of the race.
i was quite proud to finish a tournament second behind him with all the really good player around !
:bat < wellington's modified feisar
oh, and btw, the room was perfectly driven wellington, i love when you play weapons first, and then an Avalon race on the same track (maybe Kanar should copyright this term before all the wipeout scene use it for free ;) )
Big thanks to djKyoto, Wotan, Zoth-Ommog, stin, Xtriko and some others for the wonderful morning session we just shared - very cool races! :+
blackwiggle was PM alot, to join. But i couldnt find the fuking room, arrrrhhhh! Maybe next time:D
Any of you guys in the Perth area for NYE? Cause im doing this pis up thing. You are all welcome, just PM, ill give you the heads up. Havent meet any you guy AND chicks yet. Itll be good have a yarn over a few drinks:D
Thanks FrostE and chboing for the generous comments. chboing, as I recall I only beat you by three points in that tournament! I remember you raced strong races on the last two tracks.
And yes, the weapons on then off format is directly influenced by Kanar's Avalon (at least when I'm doing it), lol. So all credit to him for that, :lol.
I meet a character like that yesterday on Moa Therma. Fuktard was hanging tight on the mag strip just after the finishing grid. Cnt was firing rockets and plasma from a stationary position. He stayed in my room for sometime. Forgot his username though. Other than that the other races where good.
Just picked up my ps3 the other day (Yay!) and played a few online races before the connection went out :frown: I must say though , online is very smooth and a ton of fun :D
I'll try to get on later today, depends if my internet wants to be nice to me :bomb
feel free to add me (psn: BARTgai)
That was hellva weird connections tonight!!.
Alot of great intense races tonight.
First of all are, Bloody Hellfire:P, asa, kgb1971 and few guys, thanxs.:banzai
see ya tomorrow.
stevie:)
Yeah I was in a tournament with Wellington, Hellfire, kgb1971, and others I can't remember; when loading the next race I got some error message and was kicked to the main menu! I couldn't connect to the main server for a few minutes, but everything was fine after that.
Thanks to those above as well as Greenix, radiumx, hn9354, and more for some tough races tonight.
Tell me about it.. I was on and off wipeout pretty much all day. Must have been kicked off and had 'this account is already logged in' shoved in my face about 13 times... luckily im not superstitious. Ruins the experience and certainly put me in a feisaring bad mood when i was on par for getting a new record on Sol 2 and the dam thing kicked me right infront of the finish line :bomb Still, SL has been very good up until now so i shall give them time... to those I actually managed to race: thanks :+
We were having a real good ding dong last night/this morning when i got cut off for the third time. Generally its a very good connection so i won't complain too much.
Wellington: Thanks for the tip, took .5 sec off sol 2 reverse SL.( and it was far from perfect).
Radiumx: It will be interesting to race you when you are good at HD.lol
Feisar31: I think you are going to be very, very good.
Greenix: You crack me up, and owned me as usual.
Is Radiumx even a member here?
Thanks to Andybob, Greenix, chboing, ak_furtif, Cerium, and some others for the last session of 2008! Fun times - see you all in 2009!
Btw, Cerium, big props for your Piranha flying skills. That sure is one fast fish you pilot!
Well now I have to race you people more (and lose).
Hey, how about this:
"Losing: It's the only way to fly"
Should stick it on my Icaras until that day comes that I feel it is not so shameful:beer
Seriously now, I am still 5 seconds behind the top racers on the record tables, however I am keeping getting bettering. Err sorry(ing). Just need to play more, as I can play only on weekends. The good thing about it is that whenever I get home I seem to race more and more capable pilots!
Keep it up zoners!
In case there's some butt kicking going on tonight, drop me a message on PSN with time and zone, possibly even add me.
Dress code for this night shall range from totally drunk to completely wasted
