I was wondering about the "different region version" issues as well. Glad to know that we are (probably) looking at (effectively) a single version to be released worldwide, with the same downloadable content.

So... does this mean that for time trial competition and the like that there will be a single ladder for JPN, NA and EUR versions? Just curious.

I'll be watching release dates closely as we get closer to September, trying to decide if it's worth importing to get the game a few week early :hyper

If there will be ladders on the official webpage, will there be WOZ tables at all? I'm thinking Fusion... Or is WOZ going to be the official Site for record hunters? ;) Has this been discussed before? So many questions, so litte time. Zathras!

Back to Pulse, I really hope we get a definitive answer about when the game is coming to my side of the pond. I'm glad that Europe will be getting the game first. Lord knows you guys get shafted a lot of times for release dates. I'm really worrying that the ball may be dropped with all this momentum the game has. Especially with the gaming press here in North America. They're making it sound like PSP's killer app.

I'm definitely in favor of a unified ladder system, for two reasons. First, it makes participants' life much simpler-- you don't have to buy separate versions of the game to participate with the most active region.

Second, it should help consolidate competition. The ladder system for WOZ is awesome, however, IMO, it suffers a bit from having so many options for participation. Not only are there multiple games but there are multiple regions for each, and then lap and race times, time trials and single races, and five different speed classes. Anything that consolidates gamer efforts into a smaller number of events is a good thing, or at least, it would seem that way to me ;)

Gajo: It is the PSP's killer app, don't you know. Of course, my idea of North American reception towards WipEout games has always been

No offense, but I've always felt that the mainstream gaming press here has essentially given WO the shaft....-_- and the IGN features were all from IGN Australia, don't you know.
