If I can remember correctly and if Wikipedia is right then a Pommy is an Australian slang word for an English person. It makes no sense to me whatsoever being English and the inetrnet doesn't really help explain what it means either :?.

If I remember correctly (I've had a long day at work and got 4 hrs sleep the night before), the word 'pom' came from the acronym POHM, Prisoner Of Her Majesty. How this got changed around to describe the English is beyond me, though.

But the funny thing is, they are moving over here, to live permanently here, and not to **** off too. Then to abuse waiters and waitress and be absolute arseholes to the locals.
