I wouldnt' say its my main source of income Kigo - but here and there, I get work submitted via email which I'd prefer to deal with at home... Mainly it's sitting in the office, and feature planning with advertisiers and sponsors over the phone and in board rooms (hardly ever board room s once you know what your clients/sponsors expect of you though - so it's mainly over the phone)
Other times I'm dealing with the dumb ASA (the Advertising Standards Agency) for stupid little annoyances - however, the publishing house I work for, doesn't pay my phone bill at home so buggered there slightly.
I do take the piss though... and have had a few warnings from the group manager. But, I always say, measure my performance stat, my KPI's show I reach well above what they expect me to, and that keeps em quiet!
well I don't have a job because I'm an idiot but I do play online roulette/poker if that counts... I don't suppose so...
I reckon i'd prefer working at home anyways - gets you out of the house and it stops people like me from vegging all day ;)
Playing poker online counts if you're Tom Dwan [his netname is durrr]
slight change of topic but never mind...
I have a quezzie: after using the search feature, is there a way of going straight to the first page where desired word appears? most of the time I can filter through the thread by myself bit it does become a tad tedious when I have to trawl through >100 pages pky to find that I've missed what I was looking for...
is this durr man a bit good then? I'll be sure to steer clear of him
You have to choose "Show results as posts" and then to click on the related link ;)
Dwan is a millionaire just from playing poker. He is vEry good. I think he's about 21 or more probably 22 years old now.
Speaking of poker, at my old job, my boss was the owner of partypoker.com.
Thats right, the most repetative, annoying and widespread advertisement your ever going to find on the internet.
In hindsight, i should have hit him for that :)
I can pull quite a good one of those;)
hey everyone,
here's a random story of misery....i went to my local Asda (Wal Mart equivilent in the UK to you guys across the pond) for some reason they had 10, 40gig backwards compatible ps3's that they had to get rid of (the guy didn't explain why fully, but there was some odd reason!) going for £105, add to that a 10 percent discount i could get through a friend....but alas i was half an hour late. All gone!!! :( :( :(
i had resigned to waiting for the slim ps3 to finally take the plunge and get one, but getting one for just over 90 quid would have been amazing.
i was pi&*^d off for a bit after that i can tell you. would have been perfect with Fury so close to release.
I wonder if they were Supplied by the company EUK. I know they supplied supermarkets with games not sure if they did hardware or not or if it would even work the same way.
Basically I got Fallout 3 and Farcry 2 for 6 quid each at Morrisons and the explanation for the cheapness was that since EUK went bust the stock was instantly de-valued. They send games back to the supplier once the said game falls out of the top 20 in the charts, I guess they had no one to send them back too however I don't see how that would work with a console.
the guy at the counter did try to explain it, something about stock been zeroed and they needed to get rid of them...i'm not sure...kinda lost interest when he said they had all gone! :(
This is just a random event that happened while i went to my gamestop to get wipeout pure. So my brother and I were getting into his truck and randomly out of nowhere a flash flood starts near where I live so we think that we would be able to beat it because the gamestop is only 10 minutes away from my house. So as my brother is driving we notice all the main roads are getting flooded so my brother decides to just go through and we eventually make it to the gamestop before the streets got flooded. We enter and start looking for pure because I called them ten minutes before we left and they said they had a copy for $6.99 we ask the lady at the counter only to find that someone bought the copy five minutes ago. Just when I think that the trip was a waste my brother notices that they had one copy of Pulse for 9.99 on sale so i bought that. As we walk out of the store the sky is clear and its not raining anymore and most of the streets are dry. I really hate how the weather changes in randomly in Las Vegas.
So it isn't just England...:lol
hello
i'm bored and feeling down
i have all these things i want to say but i cannot remember any of them
gutted
JT took his time to make a statement about his future didn't he. he probably did what gerrard did a few years back - nearly joined megabucks before deciding it was a better idea to stay put where he was revered, and probably eke some more money out of his club who want their talisman to stay into the bargain
still the summer's not over. i hope he doesn't join citeh though; top heavy and even more classless with champ man moneys then chelsea were
also what's with investors, sheikhs, oligarchs, franchise owners etc. buying up every club in england now - notts county? ****ing bangor city? perhaps they're planning to make a 50 team premiership, or maybe 3 premierships or something; or maybe - no! crazy idea - but wait, maybe, just maybe, they're trying to tap into the vast revenue pool generated by tv money and merchandise from british football fans?
:nod
weird what football has become
wow mega-rant
bye now
Michael Schumacher is back!! YES!
If only he wasn't standing in for favourite driver....Poor Felippe....
Schumi is my man :D
yeah apparently (don't trust the grapevine 100%) he may have damaged his eye from the force of impact or something which would make a comeback difficult.
why my favourite driver? why?
of course shumi is my all time fave so i'm glad it was him who was chosen to drive (albeit temporarily)
