It seems the same situation in Australia, America & UK, anywhere westernized.
I suppose in a way the obese end up creating their own cluster zones.
There aren't many obese people around my area of Sydney either, mainly because it's beach territory and majority of people do exercise regularly and watch their diet, you end up being fit just by association with others.:)
Most parks are full of people doing something.
But if I were to go 15-50 km to my west, sadly It's the opposite, where you can get whole suburbs of fat kids with fat parents.
3 generations who've watched life go past from car windows, never walked anywhere.
The only thing you would see in the parks in these areas would be the odd stray dog, empty bottles of Coke and Domino's Pizza/McDonalds trash.:(
