hallo at last. i've been lurking around for some time now watching you talk and came up with marvelous ship skins. i have waited to make my first post when my ship skin woud be finished. so here it is my BlueGrin made only whith the online editor:

zargz - Nice one, I like the stripped down Green Meanie :g and i also like the new design (Modification). Playing around with the colours & changing just a few things can be effective eh? :)

Thanks Zargs. I worked my but out to make it. I have no idea of how PhotoShop works so i had to make it pixel by pixel. Even more the shark head i had to make it twice because it didn't saved the first time.
Nice new look by the way but IMO i think The Green Machine had more personality.
As for may details ...whel that wouldn't go so well whit my previous teams protocols (piranha and eg-r) ;)

Probably not everyone's cup of tea, somehow, and I don't really like the way it looks in game, but I am quite happy with the racing vehicle design.

Hey, think anyone can give me some tips on how to make clean-looking skins? I've tried making skins on the Editor but they all came out sorta messy-looking, so I didn't save 'em. Since I have a hi-res monitor, it all came out really tiny for me.
Well AAX it shure isn't looking like anything you have come up until now, but it has a point , and, as always, is perfectly mastered. it would have looked better on an assegai i think, you know assegai-africa-voodoo-your design. Anyway this is what brings into my mind.
And just an other thing, what happened to your rusty feisar? i shure loved it

the aquatic theme was a good match for the trident too :)
why haven't I done a triakis? so far I have done a couple of qirex and an egx
just haven't had a good reason to do a triakis yet,
My next will likely be AG-Sys as I am finding myself using that ship ever more while online
@aax, it certainly is garish, and it's certainly not my cup of tea... but the clarity and level of detail is pretty amazing
QirexAAX, I adore that one. Love the car on the side. Really great colours too. Reminds me for some odd reason of Micro Machines. Where did you get the idea for that one?

I thought it was pretty cool on paper, but it didn't come out too nice, and it seems I still have a lot of work to do on it...
Also, I'm surprised there hasn't been a lot of skins with "noseart", or flags for that matter as well

I saw a duck at first, but it must be the yellow nose… but i also find that the Piranha ship itself has quite a ducky nozzle (in WIP3OUT also)

The car is actually a very special guest on this skin, being loosely copied from my Morris Minor, part of whose registration is "AAX" (I'm tempted to make an alternate version with it at the front, beating the Qirex :D )

QirexAAX, I love the new colours... but... I think I liked the old colours more! Yeah, they weren't all that Wipeout and look a little cartoony but they really suit the design you have. They're both great though. Now you have the template, you can use any colour combo you like. Actually I discovered my neon one works just as well in red and yellow as well as blue so I could do a whole neon series. Or go for a Superman Red/Blue thing.

Still, it is a sharkskin on a piranha. I think it would look better on a triakis. And i think it would be great if you coud come up with a piranhaskin in the same concept ;), what do you say ?
Lion, that is ACE, I love it!
the shape of the piranha really lends itself to this... it's fairly fish like in shape, and also more like an aeroplane or boat than any of the other craft...
it would be much harder to make this look right on a triakis. your method sidestepped this issue quite neatly by including the shape of the fish rather than making the ship become the fish :)
for military designs on a triakis I'd be more inclined to base it on a tank than on a plane.
as to a piranha skinned piranha ship... I'd be interested to see the results of someone successfully conveying it, but with the shape of the real fish, maybe the mirage would be a better match?
