What grinded my gears is that one of my "friends" (not in this forum) threatened to ban me after I made a small mistake. Unbelievable...
thats an abuse of powers..you gt people like that..cant handle a tiny bit of power..
Aye so true, jasmin. Even if I made a tiny mistake all heck breaks loose and they start to turn their backs on me, I mean, even if I correct the mistakes, they suddenly lash out rude comments towards me :(.
They dont sound much like friends, more like tools
They have internet power to abuse, they must be really cool people, :lol
So last week I heard Tool are playing in Melbourne and tickets go on sale the 8th (today)... I look up the stupid fan club I'm somehow a part of to see if I could get access to tickets early, but no luck, there's jack **** on the site and I call it a day thinking things wouldn't be too bad.
Find out today there actually were presales, I missed them completely, and when I got to the ticketmaster outlet at ~10am, the entire ****in' show is sold out.
**** that!
Unlucky mate. I've always wanted to see Tool.
Forgot mateys name now, but he's got a sick singing voice.
I went to my work to hand over my sick line this morning and he told me I`m getting moved to maintenance work which I don`t want cos too much stress and loads of paperwork:frown:, I`m certainly not looking forward going back in two weeks time!!!
I`m already stressed and my wife is worried about me!!
Seriously pissed me off!

I saw Tool once back in 2002, and wanted to check them out again since it was one of the best shows I've seen. Didn't see them last time they were here, in '07. Would've been nice if I got in this time :(
And yeah, Maynard sure can sing, even if he has a stupid name! :P
Once again, I was torked to see that whenever I come into a random chat room, the "owner" (counts as an admin) kicks me out for no reason (especially since I wanted to write down an apology letter) -_-".
As Nutcase and jasmin said, they do have the power to abuse the ban abilitiy, just to make them look cool.
Our newest member at the bottom of the forum page seems to have warped sense of humour :|.
Agreed with KGB. That's just plain wrong...
It's when the post somebody's commenting about is just cut off on the last page :brickwall
Bring the instaban.
Rob should be able to sort it out. I've done what I can so hopefully it'll be dealt with soon.
I can only think of one or two persons tasteless, crass and a downright thoughtless enough of the feeling of others to try to start a new membership with a slight mis-pelling and basically impersonation of a recently departed member, and they also know he left us under such tragic circumstances which makes this action all the worse.:turd
Wha........... ? did somebody post a "Mock Luri" group?
aaaaaaaaand ragequit:brickwall
When your housemate tells you that we've got to pay a leftover payment from the previous owners of the house, and asks for £60 in total, only to then find a letter saying that it hasn't been paid and British Gas might start taking legal action against us. So I call him up and leave a message asking him what the F*** he's doing, and go and pay it myself.
Only for him to then call me back later calling me the bad guy for having sworn at him, and telling me I have no people skills. :brickwall
My gears get grinded by people who have no values and ethics. I think they have an anarchy within themselves. Backstabbing of friends,bullying,insensitivity(mis-spelling FML?).You name it. And being a negative person, other than my parents, relatives(younger brother excluded,strangely...) and teachers, and some nice people I've met online(on this forum and another Digimon forum),that is everyone else...
And my gears are currently very grinded by my annoying younger brother. And to make things worse,we're on holiday in China!!!
When you have a half-cousin that you've never met and no-one in your family ever talks about, and then all of a sudden you find out from your cousin (her half-sister) that this girl is on facebook, and in an instant there's this person in front of you who bears a definite resemblance to the wayward uncle you've not seen in a decade. Possibly the weirdest thing ever, and yet I just have to kind of shrug it off. Completely baffled by this.:? It's actually more the lack of communication in my family that grinds my gears. But still, it's pretty freaky.
@saturn thats a strange situation and on that note...
... what grinds my gears today is knowing that your grandparents refuse to tell you about an uncle you know you have but who was sent away in childhood and who you've never met, or even seen a picture ofe, hence you have an entire branch of cousines you dont even know the names of... also it grinds my gears that I cant get in touch with them for fear of angering grandma! the hell is she thinking I wont find out?!
I'm seriously pissed off by Sony and GT5. I've never seen that tbh, people having the game 15 days before release. There's already hundreds of copies out, can't believe it. And we the regular stupid sony fanboi have to wait til nov 24.
15 days?! How the eff did they get them?
Grinding my gears is my younger brother. He is sick and he's trying to infect me! :bomb Need I bore you with more details as to how more irritating he can get?
BTW,anyone here with a younger sibling?
you can even buy it "legally" there http://www.fingerhut.com/productgrou...rce=cart&hgc=0
never seen that before. 9 days before official release. 555 000 copies will be available in France for day 1, hope I'll get mine. Sony definitely needs to recruit normal human beings btw. Marketing policies since Ps3 release = total nonsense.
Have you seen the track list too??? 3 new decent world race circuits???
and about a dozen incarnations of the same circuit?
What about the real historic circuits. old hockenheim, old spa, Brooklands Aintree, Silverstone. or maybe some decent real street circuits
5 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hmm wonder if il'l waste my money on a billion incarnations of the nordschleife and about 1000 cars most of which is made up by chronic japanese cars. like the Daihatsu Town Cube? & the Izuzu Mysterious utility wizard (seriously? look it up :lol)
Sadly ill probably buy it anyway :lol if only for the Ferrari's (there still in right? RIGHT??!)
ok nither of those japanes cars are in there but atleast we've got the Volvo S40 Estate!
Today my gears are grinded by people in charge who cant make a work plan worth a tug of a dead dogs genitals! my teachers have planned our courses so badly that not even the over achievers can get done on time!
This kind of stress just isn't good for me :blarg
Grinding my gears is my stupidity :lol
i turned up to work an hour early without realising
"what time do you start?"
"oh err 'bout 12"
"its 11 now"
"****"
*facepalm"
i also dropped 4 pints of milk. daymn that stuff went EVERYWHERE
i spent most of the day mildly dazed and confused as to my massive time balls up
oh dear, even now i still cant belive i didnt twig earlier.... :lol
When friends say that they are gonna double date with you, but at the last moment they say that they can't, right when you had your hopes up. :cold
what grinds my gears today is they still put england football games on the telly.
like anyone really can be asked watching lame rubbish like our national team and have to listen to the rubbish the commentators spurt our.watching it is like a broken stuck record.give me celebrity in the jungle any day over fabio (barney the dinosaur) capello and his team of best friend girlfriend banger drunks
(Quick tip for jasmin - there's more than one channel.:P)
Stupid rule of the day number one:
I'm required to work on a job in Toronto. My overall rate is less than half the rate of anyone else on the project because of our comparative low salaries in the UK. However, I work in (and from) an office in the middle of London, UK. My overhead rate is therefore high. Toronto's decision makers have a rule that no-one can work on their projects with an overhead greater than X %, while mine is X+30 % or so. So even though any one of us from the UK is ridiculously cheap compared to an employee of comparative grade in Toronto, and even though I'm literally the only person who can do this work now, because everyone else (from the UK) got sick of it and left, or was made redundant (from the US), I can't be mobilised for the job. How daft! Quite why the client has to know our overhead rate anyway is beyond me. Makes no sense.
Stupid rule of the day number two:
I was refused a take-away hot chocolate from the office cafe today, because apparently they can't do take-away drinks after 4pm. They can, however, do free drinks. To have the drink for free you simply have to drink from a proper much and sit at the cafe. If you takeaway, it costs £1. So even though they people that run the cafe would make money from simply pouring the hot chocolate into a paper cup instead, and even though I would take the drink away and carry on with my work, instead of wasting half the day in the cafe like some tartlets do, they won't let me do it, and without any actual reason at all. How daft!
It's no wonder the world is in a recession. Apparently people can't make money any more because some toolbar went and made up some daft rule that makes everything more costly and wasteful. OK, so the paper cup would be wasteful compared to a reusable mug, but I'm pretty sure the dishwasher being used for the few mugs at the end of the day wouldn't be much better.
I suppose getting your own kettle is out of the question? :P
It's proper hot chocolate. No kettles involved. ;) I've wanted a kettle at work for a long time because our hot water comes from zip taps, and isn't actually boiling. But if I bring a kettle it would have to be electronically checked for health and safety. Someone would probably also complain it wasn't sustainable. Irony is that the zip taps spew water out far too quickly anyway, and despite not being hot enough for making good tea, it's hot enough to scold. It wastes heat too, because the water isn't hot enough, so the tea needs brewing longer, which means it gets cold quicker. So, I have to warm the mug up first with hot water, and then refill with fresh water it to make the tea. Essentially, I have to use two mugs of near-boiling water and risk a scolding instead of just using a freakin' kettle. Then there's the water you have to run off in the mornings because it tastes nasty when coming out of the tank first thing in the morning, for some reason, plus the wasted heat lost form the tank to the air. I'm sure a simple little kettle large enough for two cups would work out better as long as everyone were sensible. Given that we're all supposed to be intelligent engineers, it shouldn't be too hard. All I want is a tasty hot beverage and to get on with my work. Incidentally, the zip taps broke at one point and we did have a kettle for a few days. It was glorious!
@saturn.."gee never thought of that..must of had a blonde moment..":P
only jk ...no serously..
point i was making is that yes there are other channels so put it on a secondary channel not many people watch like christian tv or govenment channel more suitable for a team that much the population would rather forget existed.cos when its on the main channel they dont play the good programmes that should have been on hence why i was annoyed..
I can't quite decide wether it's funny or sad, Saturn. I'd like to extend a one month free membership of my exclusive "I hate all things Corporate" club. From now on there will be chocolate at the meetings, though only from a kettle for the time being.
Now, on to my gripe of the day. Snow.
First real snow here today. That means 4 months of driving no faster than 40km/h, making the daily commute last at least an hour each way.
it also means breaking your back trying to keep your sidewalk clear, only to have it destroyed by the incompetent fool - Mr Plow, that either tears up some of the sidewalk, or drives through your carefully shoveled piles, scatters them all over your newly cleared sidewalk and compacts them to big chunkc of ice.
<HomerSimpsonVoice>
I hate snow SO MUCH
</HomerSimpsonVoice>
Is it actually called Mr. Plow?
Unfortunately not :(
Actually it's just a couple of Very Big Tractors hired by the council from a farm just outside town. I suspect it's the farmers 12 year old son who does the wrecking...

You have snow covering your walkways over there where there is winter,in Singapore,we have floods(occasionally).
And now it's wet season. I can't wait to get my school shoes wet on the way to and from school.Actually,it's not much of a big deal, but it does give trouble to some.
Going home for the weekend and finding GT5 next to your PS3, sticking it into said PS3, then having to download an update for it and being told it will take over an hour when you know that at university it would only take around 2 minutes... :brickwall
It would take over an hour because the PSN has slowed to a crawl due to so many people doing the same thing.
It took me over an hour to download DLC for Enslaved 2 days ago as every man and his dog was playing GT5.
We might have the same situation occur when LBP2 comes out.
Haha, like when HD came out. XD
