1 meg should be fine, so long as you have at least 128 upload also. Do you have one of these Wanadoo "livebox" systems, as they can cause problems I think. There seem to be a lot of them in France, Asa knows more about that. :)

yes that's right few mamadoo ;) livebox are concerned by this.
You can connect to Kai but when racing you are not visible by the other ships. I have few french friends in that case ( the most famous is Del Stepho 1mb up 128k down , and he stopped playing Kai cause it was unplayable )
Even by linking pc and livebox by an ethernet cable ( RJ45 ) doesn't solve the problem either.
that doesn't come from the bandwich , i know friends who have 8 mb up 512 k down and have that problem too ( the ship is just slightly better visible )
It probably depends on the serial number of the livebox you have, if she is not too old it wd be good.


We had a weird very weird night on kai last night :
i raced Ben, then i raced Stu , Ben raced Stu without any kind of problem, but when we decided to play at 3 everything went wrong : twice psp frozen on a row for Ben, weak DWL for me and Stuart the winner by being disconnected each time after 5 sec racing with us

If you read me SL, make the new wipe Pure with instracture mode for racing online : when i heard reports from guys playing infra on kai with other games, with no kind of problems at all : i am becoming :bomb

Good news guys! It seem my pci card olitec is ok to play on kai. I have just a problem to connect my psp, i must start game and lunch party wifi to connect on pc, but im not sure its a real probleme. I check again, i think i have found the solution i start an hosted party on my psp, it connect and after i lunch a scan to play on another game hosted by another people.

Can i have your msn for french guy (us too lol if you want) to prepare the race :rock

Crikey, some of us have to go to work, or educational establishments, or alternatively just aren`t out of bed by that time. Try after 9pm (euro time). It`s not always busy, but you will probably find some members of WipeoutZone Wipeout Club online at some point. :)

FInally i have check and my psp want to connect on my pc BUT.... KAI doesnt want see my psp, so i cant play on KAI :brickwall Sorry

I don`t see any Olitec cards on the list of compatible network cards/adapters for kai . This could be your problem. If your card or adapter is not on the list, or isn`t a Wifi Max, it just won`t work no matter what you do. You may need to buy a Wifi Max or another usb adapter from the list, like a D Link DWL 122, to get it to work. Don`t give up too easily. It took me four days to get Kai working, and I was just about to give up when it worked. :) Glad I didn`t. ;)

And the last part of our night was recorded, i am sure this Descension at 4 watching 4 pilots nicknamed ' @S@' is one of our most intense action we ever had.

I've been watching it 3 times on a row today and definitely the best tour we did.
For all those previous frustrated kai sessions with sudden deconnections, big bugs from all types or just a lake of mood racing concentrated, i must say all of this was is so far behind me when we were racing like tonight together

Best thing for you is to read the Kai topic and then make a post there by telling us what is your internet installment ( wifi or not, cable, modem, etc...) at home that should gain time to know if we can help you or not.

Last night on Kai we were 3 : mate Lunar and... Del stepho.

I asked him to retry again kai after long months without playing and that was a great idea, we spent good time playing at 3 but his upload connection is still weaky. I noticed that his ship became invisible each time someone else joining wipeout arena even if we have created a dedicated arena with password.
After Lunar went to bed , we played an 1 vs 1 descension tour, no ones were on kai at that moment and we played so smoothly except at one time we saw a guy joining Pure arena while we were racing staten park with immediat result of del's ship desapearing, hopefully that guy didn't stay longer than a race and after he left, the race condition was perfect.

I don't see any solution to fix that for Del, and that's a shame cause he was racing like an angel last night during this descension and has beaten me by 4 points :pirate . ( and i can tell you i wasn't bad last night sincerely , beaten my previous RR of ubermall by 2 sec = 2.02.94 but that wasn't enough to win the tour ;) )

No kai for me tonight, I have another family gathering:dizzy - maybe tomorrow. I have final exams very soon...
