Ship Discussion Thread

I went back through the pages and surprisingly didn't find one, so if there is one, sorry in advance to the mods :)
Anyway, thought I'd make this for general discussion about the HD/Fury ships. What ship do you use, and why? Any favoured stats among the 4?
Personally I use Triakis, Goteki 45 and Qirex for really tight tracks, although from what I can see, they're not commonly used among the best...? I used to use Feisar a lot as handling was really important to me before I realised I found it too twitchy... Also can anyone explain to me why AG-S is so popular? I don't see why it is :P

If you're talking about the thread "Is there a particular reason why you use the team you do?" I considered it, but thought I'd open this for more general discussion, since some of the mods were complaining about threads going off topic. If a mod deems this a duplicate thread though, sorry again...

WOHD have already gone out for a long time all problems and subjects one treated and reprocessed ......... search a little better among different subjects

Feisar isnt bad at all. I love it. But its not very fast and thats the only thing Idonot like about it. But in ramming situations its alright.

Now I use Mirage (bcuz you can BR anywhere with it and it gets air easily if you pitch up hehe) sometimes and Icaras all the time but in phantom i revert back to my first love - Feisar :D

I use ag under the assumption that you can accelerate to the first weapon pad first, hopefully get some mines. However, with people starting at different times, even in the same house! It doesn't work out like that. LAN please, or perhaps Bluetooth connection when in the same room should be added, seems like it could be done, since the vita will have that ability.

i actually refuse to use Mirage because it is absolutely **** ugly... you need a paper bag over your head and a hidden PSN to be able to pilot it :P

Looks can be deceiving, there are in fact some very fast mirage pilots out there. It seems as if the looks doesn't dampen the peformance. :p

I know the Mirage is a good allrounder but it looks like it was cobbled together using an old vw beetle.:|

I don't deny the Mirage is a fantastic ship, I've piloted it only a few times and it does feel nice to fly, but... AAAAAAAA MY EYES! SQUISH THE BUG! AAAAAAAAA

HD version maybe. The Fury one is probably the best one of it's kin.

I have a soft spot and an understanding for those that fly glass cannons from my Fusion days as a Van-Uber pilot, but I've developed a love of the Qirex fury bizarrely (to some) for it's reluctance to BR. I don't like my ships too bouncy, and Sascha's fast and hard enough to be a decent all rounder.

Fury Auricom is fun to fly at times as well.

Yet another reason why Pulse is superior; Zone and Concept ships. :D

edit: Is is just me, or is EG-X not that great in HD/Fury? In Pulse, it's the best... :(

But it takes so looong to unlock them! :(

Plus, Icaras and Assegai Pulse Concepts are just the HD ships :p

But but but...no D: The Mirage is purty!

Ah, yes, I forgot about that. The Icaras concept is much easier to use than the standard skin in Pulse. Better handling. :lol
If you get one ship in Pulse to 100000 loyalty, you unlock all skins for all ships btw. Still takes a while, but it's not too bad if you really like one ship (like I do with EG-X). ;)

Actually I don't think the EG-X in HD or Fury is that bad, you just have to manhandle it round a course rather than guide it... And absorb often :P Otherwise it sort of holds its own.

Also, another thing, before I thought that with the Fury pack, all the HD ships were made obsolete; not so. I love the HD Qirex and Goteki45, big brutes of machines that handle better than their Fury counterparts IMO... Anyone care to back this up with some hidden stats?

I actually beat a lot of lap records with the EG-X in HD.
To me the best is AG-S. It's just so well balanced! In every one of the WO series. And it's Fury mode! Dang that's awesome!!
I reached its max loyalty in HD within two weeks!
The one I can't stand is Triakis. When cornering is like dragging a mule with a hair strand! You know it's going to fail, but you try it anyway.

I don't quite believe this, but after some experimenting, I find myself constantly going back to Mirage Fury. It's handling is somewhat unique, as the bulbous shape makes it roll in corners and I dunno... something about that just feels comfortable. If you ignore the looks, it's a fantastic ship...
Oh how I wish they made it better looking, even if it was slightly...

I favor the HD EG-X mainly because of it's looks. It's chassis design isn't much different from the Pulse chassis, but the new paint scheme just makes it look so much hotter than it has to be. I don't care much about it's stats because I've gotten so used to it. I've even managed to take it around the Chenghou bend without hitting either wall.

Mirage, those Arabs did a fine job with that flying carpet. :D
