Revisiting the Gran Turismo 1 intro

So, I like racing games, primarily WipEout (duh?). But while I've owned a copy of Gran Turismo for the PS1, I never played it much. But man, did I ever LOVE that intro!

I'm talking about the US/EU one. The JP intro looks the same, but uses different music, and it makes all the difference in the world.

I've always had a vision in my mind of what an intro like this for a WipEout game would look like...

The sun rising on race day. Crews getting ready. Systems coming online. The ships raising up to the starting grid. ...And then... RACING!

I know, it sounds a bit like the intro for the original WipEout, but that's not what I meant.
