Question for R8.
What would be minimum / Optimum PC configuration for a PC to run this game?
Mostly 'Video Card" wise, I think I have the rest covered.

What are you aiming at, as in resolution/frame rates ?

Also, what controllers do you intend allowing support for?

Also curious about the software requirements.

Which versions of Windows will be supported? Maybe other OS'es as well?

Does the game need Steam or something like that to install the game and/or to play with friends?

Initially R8 have stated that they intend to make this a PC game first, so yes, Steam will be needed.

I suppose it will depend on the success of the PC version on if it gets ported for console release, but I think it should, as there are a lot of people who never use their PC's for gaming, myself included...... if R8 intend to release it for the PS3 is another matter, I think it more likely it would be PS4/VITA/Xbone

Besides, releasing it on PC first will help out ironing out any nasty bugs/glitches, and if it turns out as good as hoped, the word will get out quickly and build momentum for a lot of people requesting console releases.

Hello R8...can you please post a reply regarding Graphic card recommendations, likewise for game controllers ?
I would like to get any needed gear together ASAP.

Rampant speculation on my part, but I would not be surprised to explicitly see support for the Xbox360 gamepad, and wider than that I would expect that any DirectX compatible Human Interface Device/controller will do the job. This basically means it appears in the Game Controllers setup panel in Windows (search for "set up usb game controllers" in Windows 8.x - possibly the same in Windows 7?). Such controllers can be up to 32 buttons, 8 analogue axes, and a hat (dpad). The Xbox360 controller is 10 buttons, 6 analogue axes, and a hat (dpad)

The one thing that I am not sure about is being allowed to spread inputs across multiple controllers. Some games (eg: Star Citizen) support that, but others (eg: Elite Dangerous) do not

Well to be honest we don't really know which way the craft are going to operate, as in, are they going to be more like a F1 driving type feel with weapons?, or more WO type with air-brakes?

The former might work with a steering wheel and brake pedal setup, and the latter could possibly work with a flight stick and rudder pedal setup .

We are so used to the confines of playing WO on a console with no other choice except using PS controller [apart from NegCon support for PSone WO's]
Since this will initially be a PC release, why not think out of the box?

If fusion is released on steam it will have to be playable with the steam controller due out later this year -which (imo) looks like it could be the best gaming pad ever made

I asked R8 on facebook about this. They still haven't said anything publicly. But I'd wager minimum requirements will be 2GB dedicated video memory, and 4GB recommended. Which puts me in a pickle... because my PC is of the PS3/360 generation, with only 1GB of dedicated memory (but up to 4, shared)... I'm hoping I'll just eek by, but I won't be surprised if my current rig can't handle a truly next-gen game.
