RIP indeed. One of the finest actors of a generation, his death is a great loss to the cinematic World.

I read the news this morning. When you overdo drugs, there's no turning back.
It's a shame to die like this, especially when you have a family.

Personally I think my favourite performances were Before The Devil Knows You're Dead, The Big Lebowski, and Doubt. But I'd have watched him in anything really, he really was incredible.

Some of the reader comments I've read on news sites like the one above make me sick. Even when somebody who's a bit of a dick dies, bite your tongue and show some respect for God's sake. And the tributes I've heard about Hoffman was that he was a really nice guy. Bloody keyboard warriors.
