EDIT: I also experienced a strange glitch before starting the Rapier tournament.

When I went to Ship Changing screen,the cursor was at the EG-X Chromed position,although I don't have it unlocked
The silhouette showed a strange ship resembling a Van-Uber.
If I selected the strange ship,the narrator wouldn't say anything,then it returned me to the lobby and picked a random ship.

I'm really sorry smith, believe me, we waited, sent you invites, opened the game to public, spun it around as much as we could, but after a while people were getting a bit frustrated and understadably so. I really tried my best to keep everyone informed through the chat room and to try get you back in.
I had to resume the flash tourney after losing vaakneri. I really don't know why you couldn't see us again.
I apologize on my behalf, but these things can happen, and unfortunately we had to push through.

I had a blast tonight, really fun races all around!

I did pretty well on Venom and Flash, not bad on Rapier either. Then Phantom happened. My blood sugar plummeted and I completely spaced out for the first two races. I mean wall-to-wall racing. Not that it mattered, since I sucked for the remainder of the tournament anyway :D

In any case, I can't wait to see the footage. Congrats to everyone who participated, and to Group 3 for being awesome. See you on the tracks :P

Last night was a blast and I`m sorry guys, I was soo drunk and hangover this morning *groan. Anyway, we had a good laugh there :)

Seriously, on the third track we have played (can`t remember the name of the track due I was too drunk but race anyway lol), but, after count down, I was away in front till it`s finished and not one ship passed me and yet I finished third!!! :/ But nevermind, I`m not at all bothered. :)

I do need to play more HD!

thanks to the guys from Group 7 for being great competitors, i had a lot of fun playing with them (though their mines were no fun at all and spoiled an otherwisely surprising couple of good performances :-/). did anyone record the races maybe?

Yeah, it happens. Sorry guys, I didn't forsee the problems having both consoles would create, and frankly I should have checked it a lot earlier than yesterday. I think all we can say is that future HD tournaments requiring online play will have to be PS3 only. We can run a separate tournament for Vita users

You can set the message function on the Vita to automatically check at regular intervals, but it still doesn't guarantee you'll get the message.
As far as I can tell, the invite stuff doesn't work because the Vita is playing 2048 (with the basic HD/Fury expansion) while the PS3 is playing HD/Fury. 2 different games.

There's a lot of functionality missing from the expansion as well as a few niggles. Recently I was racing online and I wasn't being given a single item, plenty of weapons but no shield, turbo or autopilot pickups. Best I could deduce was that the last thing I'd done on 2048 online campaign was a combat event and the settings somehow carried over. Probably something similar occurred the first time I went online with the crossplay and had no speed pads.

Personally I feel it is a real shame that we weren't just given HD/Fury as a separate game for the Vita.


I'm just annoyed that my group never reappeared in my list (for whatever reason) and that I was unable to resume play with them after we had to reconnect. I enjoyed the races we were able to do together, and actually felt I might have been in with a chance to make the semis, but technology disagreed.

It sometimes doesn't turn on properly now and has a blinking red light, so I'm preparing for the worst. :( I can't really afford a new PS3 at the moment, but I'm looking into getting a Slim anyway. Depending on when the next round is and the condition of my PS3, I'm unsure whether or not I'll be able to make it.

Can't believe that I could lose my precious phatty. :(

Oh god, I'm sorry to hear to that, Dark_Phantom_89. My PS3 got the YLOD back in May (almost five years of solid service); I had to pay £110 for a replacement, but thankfully, I was able to get another fat one (as I still play PS1 and PS2 games from time to time), and it came the very next day in brand new condition. It's been running fine so far (touch wood); even quieter than my last one. Hope yours holds on.

I can't begin to describe the frustration and regret over missing this event. All I wanted to do was race against the WipEout elite. Even without Internet I was ready to do anything to participate, even going so far as to take my console and a flatscreen to the nearest Starbuck's (Because what's the difference in me using a gaming system vs someone using a notebook? I'm still a paying customer). Unfortunately my gf lost the money we were supposed to use for the moving van and, next thing you know, I'm having to take my Slim to a pawn shop just to cover her blunder.

When your AG time is being compromised by your significant other's blunders, you suddenly realize it may be time to see other people. Anyway I'll be able to get it out of pawn as early as tomorrow, so hopefully you'll see me on soon. Just be wary that if you do, I'll more than likely be hopped up on coffee or in the throes of a Big Mac attack lol.
