I decided to create this thread because I figure we need more love around here in these troubled times.

So to start us off I would like to make one big shout out: To all of you it is remarkable to me how so many people from all around the world and from such varied cultures can come together like this and be (mostly) civil with each other despite big differences in cultural heritage and political opinions.

It gives me hope for humanity, as well as makes me feel very welcome and happy to have found this community.

A big pat on the back to all of you people here who make this place what it is!

Unlike what most people think, humans are good by nature. It's only environmental and upbringing influences that makes some people snap.
But yeah, it's quite remarkable that this community works almost like a clock.

Can't agree more. It's just fun and interesting to check the forums everyday. I signed up in spring this year and got over 500 posts. I remember I have been at the Limp Bizkit forum for around 4 years and had like 800 posts or so. But actually post count is not interesting for me :P Just realized how active this place is.

I just hope this community will stay alive and active as it is today. No matter what happens to Wipeout, the PS4, Sony etc. I hope we can stick together!

Big up to all people who don't use the words "nature" and "good" with exceedingly little context and don't make assumptions on most people's thoughts.
While I was planning what to write next, I thought "Man, communication is totally memetic sex !". Google says the phrase has been coined ages ago and I don't remember how I was planning to plan an answer with that line of thinking. Kudos to the former.

I was reffering to this:

It gives me hope for humanity, as well as makes me feel very welcome and happy to have found this community.

And most people do think humans are horrible beings. That's why we have crap like baptism, because we're all sinners...

Hope that's cleared out....
Back to topic...

It was nothing personal in case you were wondering. I always had trouble with the word "nature". It is really hard to associate a meaning to it in casual conversation. For instance, how would you define it in your previous post ? That's not natural to me... Then we have the same problem with "good" sometimes. To be fair, it is lot easier to understand in your post which I wasn't aiming at, though the presence of the word reminded me of the issue. I guess you meant it as "being polite enough and not aggressive" (though associating nature with that seems of dubious nature, but I might be wrong there too). In my opinion, some low-quality memetic porns are often degraded further by completely unjustified appeals to nature (TV news come to mind).
The part on thinking was genuine. To be fair, I wouldn't be surprised if most human being alive hadn't shed the matter any thought. Then again you very well may be right. If a census has been conducted, I'd be happy to have a look at the results.

Guys ^^; the point of this thread was to have a place where you can just shout out your love or appreciation for someone or some people in the community not a discussion on human nature and the question of nature or nurture. ^^;

Haha you're right Oryx.

So I'd like to shout out to a few persons who I had to deal with here...
Cipher -> You basically got me into WOHD online and you were the reason I signed up here. Bling Brigades with you are the most fun and it's cool we capture some of that and have similar ways to edit the vids. Hope to keep that up with you ;)
Liod19 -> You secretly couraged me to practice phantom, haha. I am trying to learn from your skills ;)
Rennfisch -> Thx for the fun and support on the bling brigades!
MegaGeeza22 -> The only one I ever had to have a few rounds of Fatal Inertia EX online. Was fun, dude!

And also, everyone from the SSGX-team, I love working on the project with you, especially the core members like zero3growlithe, Xpand, Oryx Crake [nice thread btw], dreadofmondays, TypeProton, ...

Also all the other guys who I didn't talk to that much yet. It's a very nice community, love to be here!
