Arcade Shooters

NOT FPS or TPS shooters. And not on rails. Space and air ship shooters! The Gradius, Darius, R-Type, Ketsui, DoDonPachi, and Radio Allergy type.
I know I'm not the only one who enjoys them! These are my favorite games to play and it's sad to see that they don't get attention anymore with big budget movie like games stealing the show. :<

It doesn't have to be restricted to single scrolling. I prefer those over most, but it can be in the the vein of 3rd person games like Afterburner or twinstick like Geo Wars.

Love them, despite being pants at the majority of them. Own Mushihimesama Futari, DoDonPachi Resurrection, ESPGaluda 2 and Deathsmiles. Really was great to see Rising Star bringing some Cave shooters over to Europe on 360 recently.

You just got points. I personally can't stand the loli in most shooters like Deathsmiles and Touhou (and they way they play aren't my type either) but the others you mentioned are my favorite xbox games. Have you picked up Akai Katana yet?
