Hello,I´m Jonas and from Germany.
My first wipE´out"-game was Pulse for the PS2,bought 3 Months ago.My newest game is the first wipE´out"-game,I bought it just for fun.
I haven´t owned HD yet,but I think I´ll buy it.
In my freetime I´m drawing wipE´out"-fanart(upload it later,if the scanner works, but it´s not sooo good.).If I´m not playing wipE´out",I play racing games.
Ah I´d forgot,I´m going to drive cart(If I find money and a team)and I belive in Anti-gravity technology,I had my plans...
So you see I´m a crazy person(at last I wanna color my hair pink...),but that means nothing. After all it´s my first english spoken forum to,but I can use Google Translator for seperate phrases to and my english isn´t sooooo bad.
At last I´m looking to a friendly community ;)
P.S.:I´m a FEISAR and van-Über Fan.

Hello,

I've been playing WipEout for a long time now... under the influence of my brother (jealous feelings towards him for piloting better than me)
I decided I would actually make an account on this forum rather than browsing it all the time. My first game was Wipeout HD Fury, still playing it now. Icaras, Goteki 45 and Assegai for me.
My PSN name is B10H4Z4RD_B0Y.
Hope to see you on the track.

P.S. Studio Liverpool, you will be missed.

A belated welcome to Artcloud, Jonny and AquaAura. I've not been around much lately but intend to get fully back on board, nice to see the place is still going strong.

And a big welcome back to my good friend Tiduch. It's been too long mate, great to see you again. And no way have I deleted you from my friends list ;)

Hello there folks. New pilot here :)

I'm Gerard or Cupoft. I'm Irish and I have lurked on this site for some time. So I thought that I'd sign up :) Why not, eh?

Wipeout HD is a game that I've found myself always coming back to in between some avid trophy hunting. It's without doubt one of the most addictive and fun games that I've played this gen. I was reading in jealousy of people talking about being a fan from the start and how great that was. For me, this is the first one that I properly got into. I've played older titles with friends but only for an hour or two.

Currently my skill level is okay on Flash and Rapier levels but when it comes to Phantom....well let's just say that I need more practice. And that practice will be gotten my friends. All in due time! As mentioned, I'm kinda a trophy-whore sometimes and wipeout hd is no exception to this rule. I have two trophies left in this game and they are ECL and Da Bomb. I'm hoping that with some practice, Meltdown will crumble before me. For the time being it's vice versa xD

Sorry for waffling on for a bit. I hope to see some of you guys online. Maybe you can teach me a thing or two :)

Hello! I joined about a week ago after playing WipEout Pure on the PSP and suddenly wanted to get back into the lore of WipEout. Other than Pure, I haven't played a WipEout game since WipEout 3, way back when. Since then I've been staying with the simulator racing games such as Xpand Rally, WRC, GTR, Forza, and F1. Being a PC gamer (Haven't owned a PS or Xbox for over a year) I have yet to play any of the new WipEout's, though from seeing just screenshots they look incredibly fun and that WipEout 2048 cinematic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddMh70ERkWY) is really amazing, I could watch it all day.

Hello everyone at the WipeoutZone forums!

I'm Mike458, a new pilot who just got the game not so long ago. This game is possibly the most addicting game that I have ever played, and there's always something new to master every time I play it. On Venom and Flash speed classes, I'm OK on them, yet I'm not a top-of-the-leaderboard pilot. However, when it comes to Rapier and Phantom classes, I can screw up pretty badly on them! I can handle some of the Phantom races on simple tracks (Moa Therma, Anulpha Pass, The Amphiseum, etc.) and hold my own against the Skilled AI. However, most of the races I go on usually end up with a burning Goteki (My favorite team) somewhere on the track. Currently, I've been playing this game for about a month (I had a really bad headache that stopped me from playing Wipeout for about a month or so), and I'm starting to feel pretty comfortable with this game. Hopefully you guys can teach me and many new pilots some tricks that we don't know about and possibly race with you guys!

Long live Goteki45!
~Mike458

Hey, and welcome to the forums! :D

It's always a fun adventure to learn the faster speed classes for the first time, and it takes practice, but it sounds like you have 'The Addiction' just like the rest of us on the forum, so you'll be fine! Icaras and Goteki are my two favorite teams, you really can't go wrong with either, so good choice there. :) The best things to work on are racing line, barrel rolling, and most importantly SIDESHIFTS. I cannot stress this one enough. While they may be tricky to learn, they are a must. Also, this tutorial by a WipEout master will help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxzYkTralIA

Anyway, good luck to you with mastering the game, and I hope to see you on the track and on the forums! :D

And if you haven't checked it out yet, SlipStream GX, our WipEout-based forum project has become quite a nice piece of work, and even better, it will be free on final release! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPj6VmulOvI http://www.wipeoutzone.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?28-SlipStream-GX
It seems that you cannot currently download their latest demo because their website is, well, off. But hopefully that will be fixed soon! :D

Hello forumers!

I'm new here. My Wipeout tale began when I played a demo of what I think was Wipeout 3. I remember it having a pit lane and a voice which said "3, 2, 1, GO!". I wasn't very good at it. I then played a demo of Wipeout Fusion, but I wasn't very good at that either. I guess it was due to the fact that I didn't know how to airbrake in both demos. I lost interest in the series until I saw a PSN friend playing Wipeout HD. He encouraged me to get it, I did, and I've been pleased with it. I also got the Fury expansion not long ago. I'm starting to get the hang of Rapier class, with Phantom being a challenge for me. My favourite teams to use are Assegai, AG Systems, Goteki, Feisar and Icaras, with Assegai coming out on top because I like how balanced it's stats are, with the Fury craft making it even better. My favourite tracks are Anulpha Pass, Sebenco Climb Reverse, Ubermall and The Amphiseum. I hate Modesto Heights, because of how easy it is to slam into a barrier, even while airbraking. I've temporarily stopped playing, as I've been feeling sick and have been focused on getting the platinum on other games. It's a shame that there may not be a future Wipeout game, I hope that there will be.

Hello to you! :D

Sounds like you're getting the hang of it rather well, funny that you like both FEISAR & Icaras, but Assegai is a very good team as well. Is it just me, or am I the only one who actually likes Modesto Heights? I got my first ever WipEout win there in Pure, and have loved it ever since. :) Can't go wrong with The Amphiseum, though!

Edit: Wow, Mike, you beat me by a minute, lol :P

Good Evening to all, dear pilots.

Well, I'm a fresh New-Entry and I'm not so good with english... but I can translate you all types of Pizza. Yeah, I come from Italy and I love Auricom team, especially in Wip3out, my childhood game. But but but but...

"AlisGeldtaaSd!!1 HELLO. WAT'S YOUR HOBBY?'?"

I'm a YouTuber since Jan. 2013; I started my channel based on the Zombie mode of the famous game Call of Duty, than I continue to my current channel /ElChoReturn. Recently I downloaded the PS1 emulator on my PC, only to play Wip3out... It became a true dipendence. Sssssooooo... Let's buy WipEout HD Fory for PS3! ► THE END. After 2 month I finally reached Zone 126 (http://youtu.be/XTWXW2HnmSA) (I think that is the new Italian Zone record) with wrong music, but all of that for a "break during my real hard work (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFUh30kcWEo)". What to add? Oh, yes! HAPPY HOLIDAYS! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Happy... 2014... (http://youtu.be/XhN3bX7u0Yg) (?)

I don't know if I was supossed to make my own tread or not and I'm probably doing something horribly wrong, but at least I'll get some attention.

I like cats and dogs and constricting snakes (they're the most cuddly). I don't have a many moneys so I don't have Wipeout HD, but when I find out why my psp is stupid and won't go on the Internet I'll try out Wipeout Pure online and lose a lot probably. I'm a guy, and no one would ever f***ing know if I didn't just say so, and i swear a sh**ton I'm also trying to do music but job hunting and procrastination are conspiring against me. I do have a half finished MIDI file thing of what is probably going to be my first song, but I guess you can't attach .tux files, so I'll just describe it to you.

It's really good.

You'll have to take my word for it.

I suppose I may as well introduce myself. I'm Yoshi1996 on PSN and ive been playing wipeout hd (and consequently going back to try out previous installments) since 2009, but I never really got involved with the wipeout community until now. So yeah, I'm not actually new, but to this forum I am.

My favorite team is Auricom (I want the red one...), and I also like EG-X (even though they really arn't very good choices). Too many people use Icaras, Harimau and AG-Sys imo, need someone stupid like me to add variety right? I guess? No? Alright.

Hadronix

New but not so new.

I wanted to get involved with Wipeout Again after a 4 year absense and I am hoping for forgiveness after being banned before.

I would like to point out I was 12 when I got banned and now I am nearly 17 and I have changed a lot in many ways :p

You may have known me as M1zw1z / DjM1zw1z. But im hoping to start again..

Hello my name is Rik AKA Red_Ricky_ on PSN.
I am new to the community and quite new to WipEout despite having played Pulse many years back i am pretty much just starting off at HD. My favorite ship is
AG-Systems, my least favorite is EG-X (never even flown it), i like to race on Phantom, I have problems with cornering (i tend to over correct with the airbrakes and loose control) and that is pretty much it.
Oh before i forget any good tips on keeping the game enjoyable offline.

Thanks for accepting me.

New guy this'a way. Hybrid Divide pointed me in this direction, but I'd been considering joining for some time, I just never got around to it.

Feisar, Auricom, Assegai, Icarus, you name the team and I'm prepared to attempt to race them (apart from the 2097 Piranha Prototype, 'eff that.. perfect stats do not equal a perfect flight if you aren't prepared xD). But given my skill level of 'experienced test pilot' rather than 'bat-out-of-hell' despite playing the series since 2097/XL, you'll usually see me sticking with the trusty AG-S in the PS1 trilogy or more recently Harimau (because I'm not gonna lie, the speed on AG-S got crap... no offense). Hellfire's guides definitely help, but I tend to panic with the current Icarus/Piranha handling >.<
I'm also occasionally interested in mulling over the backstory of the series when I should be paying attention to the barriers or a stray mine, it's gotten me into trouble on more than a few Detonator events.

Anyways, just dropping by to say hi.

Hi everyone. Team Purple here, new to WZ, checking in. I LOVE Wiepout XL. In the process of trying to get a European PS so I can get WO3 SE stateside but that's another story. Got hooked on the game years ago when my brother borrowed my PS and beat all my times... Really opened up the whole racing for perfection aspect of the game.
Haven't played much gaming recently, but thinking of getting a new gaming system just for WO.

Hi Guys!

French pilot here, for no particular team as I like to switch between ships and currently living in Vienna, Austria. I'm a CG, sometimes 2D, animator, and I'm a big fan of the WipEout franchise. It's funny to state that I considered myself already a fan while I was only listening to the music and watching the visuals, as i found this universe really inspiring.

My first contact with WEO was 2097 when it came out on PSX. Sadly, it didn't have split screen so I couldn't play with my brother and that was a big disappointment.
Many years later, as I was discovering electronic music, I thought back about this game and its unique ambience, so I looked for the soundtrack and became a fan of Fluke and British Big Beat of the 90's ;)

I went back to this series by playing the PSX games on an emulator, that was a blast. Now I enjoy Pulse on my PSP (bought just for this game and Lumines) and I plan to get a PS3 for HD/Fury very soon. I hope that my new internet connection will be good enough for online racing, though.

I'm so glad to see there are still players for such a niche game. Hope to see you on the tracks! (if I can...!)

I first experienced the Wipeout series on the PSX, it was a demo of WipEout 2097, and I sucked at it, sooooooo bad, probably because I was 5 years old when I played it, and once I got rid of my playstation, the series was lost to me until I was like 14 where I got Wipeout Pulse on the PSP, and it immediately gave me nostalgia, and I loved it, and I have been obsessed with the series ever since, I got my PS3 a year ago, and have been playing Wipeout HD Fury for the entire time.

Because I have missed out on most of the games in the series, I really would like to play all the games someday, specifically WipEout 3. Currently I main Assegai, but tbf, my favored team changes constantly, so that matters very little.

Anyway, now you know a little bit about me and my relationship to the WipEout gaming series, i'd like to thank the admins for validating my account, and I look forward to being part of this community. :)

Hello, My name's Alex, I'm a 39 year old guy from the UK. I've been a big fan of the Wipeout games since the PS1 days. I was a bit of a Sega fanboy back then (but a nice one, not one of yer zealot-ey types), so I started off with a Saturn back in the 32-bit days. I discovered the Wipeout games after going to a mate's house back in my Uni days and him showing me 2097 on his house mate Rob's PS1 and my jaw just hitting the floor over how amazing it looked (this effect may have also been partially enhanced by alcohol). Not long after this a Saturn mag I bought had a demo of 2097 on it and I was disappointed to find out it just looked pants in comparison (and was missing all the licensed music), which eventually, along with Resident Evil 2 and Tekken 3, persuaded me to jump ship from Sega to Sony. As the stage that came as a demo of 2097 on the PS1's included demo disk, Gare d'Europa and 'Body in Motion' by CoLD SToRAGE will always have a special place in my memory...

I like to make videos about video games, with a particular emphasis on Arcade Racers, so please check out my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzPkT2e0HFjVZi1EVlI-xzw)if you are not only into games like Wipeout, but also stuff like Hydro Thunder (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAevDYyhvzHoCF6wXW6LCJfZaztypp7q1), F-Zero (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAevDYyhvzHrJmfJ4UTJXrP9HNOx8oIb8), Outrun, Daytona USA and Scud Race (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAevDYyhvzHoW-M8zKsM2wsRyDt7BcwSp) and also split-screen comparisons (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAevDYyhvzHoAI9aVeAxLIgFUng9murlT) of games new and old. Oh, and Street Fighter 2 (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAevDYyhvzHobgm3oW_R2t2ECtGrR2I_w).

Hi, my name's George.

I've been around for a while but never introduced myself. I'm a firm lover of Pure and Wip3out, as well as 2097 and Pulse. I prefer fast ships with high handling/or thrust and low shield. I'm British and my favorite crafts are: Icaras, Harimau, Qirex, AG-systems and EG-X.

My fav tracks from each game:

Wipeout: Silverstream (still in awe of the master:clap)
WO2097: Vostok Island, Gare D'Europa.
Wip3out: Manor Top, Stanza Inter
WOFusion: I only have a hated track: TEMTESH BAY COURSE 2!!!! (it will be the death of me...)
WOPure: Vineta K, Sebenco Climb and Peak, Blue Ridge, Citta Nuova, Sol 2.
WOPulse: Platinum Rush, Fort Gale, The Amphiseum, De Konstruct and Outpost 7.
WO2048: Sol. The one and only.

Thanks guys and see you on HD hopefully!

Hi NeroIcaras. Glad to see you’ve found your way here! Make sure to stop by The Pilots Lounge (http://www.wipeoutzone.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?9-The-Pilots-Lounge) if you are looking for WOHD pilots to play with/against, granted you can get your hands on the game. Nice Roman/Greek ironic nick by-the-way: Nero who supposedly burned Rome on purpose, and Icarus who died because of the heat the Sun. Looks like you’re hot! Hmmm it definitely sounded different before I wrote that down.

Hello Everyone,
Relatively new to the wipeout scene here. To be honest I have always been a racing enthusiast and never branched outside of car racing games. First wipeout game I played was wipeout HD when playstation released it as a downloadable game for free when the network went down. Sat on it for a while then like a year or so ago I got hooked on it, and absolutely loved it. Couldn't quite put my finger on why I loved it so much, could of been the speed, the technicality of it, the dream of building a perfect lap. Needless to say I've watched about every video out there on HD, and man it is impressive on what some of you pilots can do. I'm not to that level yet but someday. I know I'm a little late to the party but hey I showed up at least haha. Also picked up a copy of wip3out which I am enjoying as well. Curious if anyone else out there has a copy of the wip3out manual? I've noticed mine is miss printed where the teams are listed. Either it was miss printed for everyone or I got a weird batch. Anyways hope to see you guys out there online sometime.

Hey everyone. I'm not new, I just thought I'd post in here to reintroduce myself as I have been very quiet for a few years due to other life commitments, ie work, college etc. But yes. I'm Saltir3Warri0r (really wish I could change that as it's 4 years old and a little cringeworthy, haha) but if you want, just call me Saltire or Patrick if you want to be on a first name basis. I don't mind XD! For all the new pilots joining the forum, I'd love to talk to you and maybe have a game as I'm still active on WipEout HD and I've only just recently started posting on here again. I don't bite, I promise!

I look forward to speaking to you all! :)

Hello wipeoutzone community ! I'm a french 33 years old wipeout pilot since 2 years, i have never really been into videogames that much spending the most of my free time cruising on my skateboard, until i bought from a friend a psp go with a dead display. Once fixed this device introduced me to wipeout pure and pulse and playing quickly became part of my daily routine. A few months later i purchased a psp 2000, for a different playing experience and more important for the adhoc multiplayer feature.
In the last two years i have gifted five second hand psp to my brothers, nephew, and friends, and we have been enjoying a lot of "family contest" with that games (Tekken 6 was played a lot too).
Now i live far from the city, rehabiliting an old farm, as i'm now far from others players, i'm missing playing against "real humans" a lot.
Having missed the online with pulse, i woke up one morning with the fear that the server could be shutted down before i could try to play online.
That's why i upgraded to the ps vita and the crossplay feature of the wipeout 2048 dlcs. The experience is great, while the game crash often, sometimes it's impossible to connect to the server, and the racebox is missing way more than i thought, i'm very happy to discover the Hd/Fury version of wipeout, and now i'm saving more money to get a Ps3 for the full experience (bought a 2nd gen fat second hand : really bad idea, ylod within a week but i've managed to play around 20hrs with).
So now i need to practice in Hd Fury, while trying to complete pure and pulse. I've already played online with a few of you, and hope to be a more serious contender soon. I'm also looking for some adhoc party via the ps3, if it's still working.
So thanks to all the people for sharing their interest for that game, and wish a long life to this community.
Looking for psn friends to practice, don't hesitate to contact me for a race or anything else !
See you

Long time Wipeout fan here. I started with Wipeout XL on my Playstation 1 and have been a fan ever since. I recently got back into Wipeout after discovering BallisticNG. For a while I've been craving a spiritual sequel to the classic Wipeout games and BallisticNG is exactly what I was looking for.

Hi everyone! I've actually been a lurker of this site for quite some time and a fan of the WipEout series for a little longer. :) Started the series with Fusion of all games, before learning what the fuss was all about regarding the physics of the other entries in the series. Now WipEout 3 SE is my all time favourite racer (Fly Icaras!). Absolutely loving Ballistic NG and will be keeping a close eye on its development. Playing a classic WipEout style racer at 1080p 144fps is a dream come true! :rock

Hello everyone! I'm somewhat of a long-time fan of WipEout. My first game was Pure, and that's what got me into the series. I'm rather surprised WipEout is still a popular series after all these years. One thing I wish the games had was a Zen speed class, something faster than Phantom. My favorite game mode will always be Zone Mode, more specifically the HD version. It's awesome to see the waves of color happen at the different speed classes. My favorite team is Auricom, and my favorite course is Syncopia (best Zone track ever). I'm looking forward to meeting people and making friends on WipeoutZone!

(By the way, my PSN is ewito. I still play HD Fury to this day. I consider myself decent at it.)

Greetings everyone! I'm TurboTails8027!

I'm based in the UK, and am an avid game collector, which naturally led me to acquire all the WipEout games, though I technically no longer own the original WipEout 3. I frequently play WipEout HD Fury, especially these days. I mainly collect racing and puzzle games. I'm also a computer programmer seeking to find work in the videogame industry eventually.

Hello AG Pilots, here's another old wipeout fan.

I registered in WZ a few months ago and I thought it was time to say hi to all of you here.

Now a little bio...
36 old spanish guy who started his neverending taste for WO AG Racing in a sorely missed grey playstation (the first model was I think, one with a lot of connectors on the back).
My first WO game was the one which polished the original formula: 2097. Nowadays I still own my good old WO2097 but also Pulse (PS2 version) and HD Fury (which I haven´t found the time to play yet). Recently I've ordered a few other members of the saga: the first WipEout, Wip3out and Fusion. We'll see if I'm lucky and I get them in good shape.
I don't play much, truth be told, and my aim for the near future is to play most of the saga from the beginning (trying to get the best times possible and recording the races, or that's my original idea anyway).

Beyond Wipeout, I also have interest in writing (scifi, fantasy and a few other genres) and recently I developed an interest in boardgame making.

Well, I think that's enough for an introduction!

Hey all!

I created an account here months ago, but I've never actually posted. With Omega Collection just around the corner, I thought now might be a good time to change that.

I have plenty of experience with the WipEout series in general (The only two games I have yet to play are 64 and 2097), and I'm a huge fan of the series, in particular Pulse and HD/Fury.
Unfortunately, I didn't own HD/Fury back when online was active, but I'll have PS+ up and running as soon as I've completed Omega's campaign, and I'm looking forward to see you guys on the track!

Hello. I've been aware of this site and community for years but have never taken an active role in the forums. I've only recently created an account, so I ask that you forgive me for my lack of familiarity with any of the users. I am, of course, familiar with Hellfire_WZ's contributions, which are many. Wipeout has honestly been an interest of mine which I've rarely shared; interest in the series is lacking in my area, and I'm fairly kept to myself in regards to certain passions.

That said, I've been a fan of the series since '95. I remember going over preview material in a number of gaming magazines for the PS1's launch lineup and being very anxious to get my hands on Wipeout. I was happy to find that the game exceeded my expectations. I've not ceased loving the series since.

Hey all. I had been lurking around here as a guest for a few months and I figured it was time I joined.

My first exposure to Wipeout was HD back in 2011, which I got for free (along with Super Stardust HD) as a result of that 2011 PSN hack. Loved the crap out of that game though I never bothered to go back and play the previous entries in the series. It wasn't until this year when I discovered BallisticNG on Steam that I went out and bought the 3 PS1 era titles from an awesome classic gaming store, and boy do I love the ever-loving hell out of them. Wipeout 3's probably my favorite overall, especially for its graphic design, a field which I had been studying in college (graduating real soon :D).

I still need to catch up with 64, Fusion through Pulse and 2048, the latter of which I've had a taste of on the Vita but will fully explore on the Omega Collection. I still don't have a PS4 unfortunately but I'd love to get one by the end of the year. And I'm probably still gonna buy it right away even without a PS4, just to support this awesome franchise.

Anyways, that's my Wipeout story.

Also are here some mebers, who arent that pro like AG_clipper and Hellfire ect....Because im mastering the phantom class pretty well. But not on the level you guys do. I have little falts here and there(for example chengue project hairpin corner.....) and i have no chance at all against these pilots.

Also i dont master the tracks backwards. Need a lot of practice.

Hey everyone, I'm Juho (great Finnish name, bet you can't pronounce it). Been a fan of racing games, sometime ago got interested about WipEout, tried the very first PS1 game on the Vita, then the 2048 Demo, watched a lot of Hellfire_WZ, now the new game came out and got HD/Fury and 2048 in one package! Also interested in getting the earlier games at some point.
Well, since one of my other main interests is anime and Japan (filthy weeb) I main AG-Systems, although I do plan on getting full affinity with all different teams.

Favorite tracks I'd say would be Capital Reach in 2048 and Sol 2 in HD (although in the latter I'm prone to getting pooped on).

Looking forward to seeing you guys online or in a possible tournament!

Hi guys,

my name is alex, I'm italian and I love WipEout.

My first game of the series was wipEout 2097, followed by Wip3out and WipEout Pulse. When WipEout HD hit the ps3, I bought the console immediately to play it. Platinum trophy was obligatory and for some reason I achieved it the same day I got my driving license xD
Now I'm playing Omega Collection, firstly 'cause I didn t play wipEout 2048, but also because...I mean, it's wipEout, have to buy it, you know... platinum is on his way in few days.

My favourite teams are FEISAR and AG-Systems. Love these ships! <3

I joined this forum to learn more about this beautiful series and share this passion with other people. See you on the racetrack pilots ;)

Thanks! The T-Shirt was a finalist prize from the 2097 club tour & tournament in 1997 :)

I parted from my NeGCon & PSOne console downsizing & moving house 5 years ago now, and while I could order a replacement it won't work unmodified with the PS3. Certainly my preference of controller for Wipeout & PSOne Racing games generally- their use were excluded from those tournament competitions I attended 20 years ago, as it was considered too much of an advantage ;)

I would say that I'm mostly here on the forum in the role of a developer, rather than a very skilled Wipeout player. I really love the graphical style of the games, and the technology. I've even tinkered with PsyQ (development kit for PS1) to learn more about the tech. I really love game, physics and graphics programming as well as 3D and 2D art. Oh and music. So yeah. Basically, I'm like everyone else. :)

Welcome Nopy and enjoy your stay! The forum is currently not very active but i'm sure you'd still get a reply in any of the threads. :)

Hi. Heard of this forum in a WipEout related thread I made at an imageboard I frequent and decided it would be a neat idea to join it. So now I'm here. I'm a Spaniard, so please forgive any typos. Also, looking forward to hear about any fellow Spaniard that plays WipEout. The WipEout scene in my country is sadly dead as heck, but I have faith something could be done about it.

Sorry to respond this late, but I don't have PSN subscription and mostly play locally with a friend of mine. Not really a point on getting a subscription when PS5 is about to come out. I hope they don't make paid Peer2Peer online again.

Sorry to shatter your dreams, but PS5 is at least 2 years away. And you can be absolutely sure that online will not be free ever again, which is totally okay considering the price of consoles as compared to a PC. Might as well subscribe to PS+ now.

Yeah, and there is currently a deal where a 1 years subscription is 30% off normal price, the same 30% off applies for lesser periods, bit IMHO there is little point getting a 1 or 6 month subscription if you want to reap the benefits.
I always take advantage of these subscription discounts when they come around, currently I'm paid up till August 2020.

Hello, my name's Kabel. I'm a big fan of the series and have my own small collection of all the games :)

Personally i think im an average pilot in Pure and onwards, and rather good-ish at the classic 3 games.
Looking forward to posting time trial records and nice little inside looks into SSGX's new development! (if im allowed to)

Hi I'm a new french member.
I discovered the universe of Wipeout since I play Wipeout HD. I played Wipeout 2048 and I currently play Omega.
Since I studied graphic design, I have had a renewed interest in the extraordinary Wipeout series. I cross my fingers for a new episode but in the meantime I intend to be active on the fanart pages.

Hi all, I've recently picked up WipEout Omega Collection having not played since HD (briefly) and way back when I used to do a lot of timetrialing on Wip3out and 2097. Feels good getting back into the groove of learning lines and bringing those times down. I've started out by focusing on Vineta K on Phantom, managed 58 globally on speed lap and 205 on TT. Hoping to bring those down in the next few days, got a shiny new pro controller coming that should suit my thumbs better than the DS4's D-pad. Hope to see you all out there, if anyone wants to add me on PS4 my id is Galeforce43.

Howdy,
I started getting into the games way, WAY back just after the PlayStation Network came back online. I picked up Wipeout HD as one of the free titles for their apology and I’ve been casually enjoying all of the games ever since. Much of what I love about the series is the wild futuristic setting. All of the games have incredible scenery and fun gameplay. But I want to expand on the game’s universe. I’ll probably write some fiction in the future, so if you see it please feel free to give feedback or leave a comment!

Hello.
After hearing of the omega collection, I began playing classic wipEout in mid-2017, on emulation software. I quickly fell in love with the track design and world. I have since played through all the games up to Pulse. Someday, I hope to save up enough money to buy a ps4 and the Omega Collection. Also, because I don’t have a controller, I have managed with a keyboard up to this point. :p

Hi guys, I have posted here before, but not in several years (last post mod-2016, three years ago... Yikes! Truth be told I thought the series was dead after Omega Collection petered out and I didn't play WipEout for nearly three years. Then, two days ago, I dug out my old PSP, with the original game installed. Have been sorely missing the series and it's incredibly sad to see the forums are beginning to fade away. Even got back into the 2012 mood by watching some of HellfireWZ's videos. I miss you so much WipEout, please come back...

Hi guys I use to be a regular years ago but because of work and thumb tip cutoff accident I couldn't play for about 5 years for more than 10minutes without user barrelroll thumbpain lol. However the flesh has grown back now so I'm grinding on bone haha. So i may see you on the tracks add brainbeat if want race ect

Hey everyone ☺️👍I'm not new to here but it has been absolute years since I last posted on here. I now have a PS4 PRO and I'm playing Wipeout again and man I've missed it lol, also just to let you know I had to make a new PlayStation ID my old one used to be IXxNOCTURNALxXI, now on PS4 it's IxNOCTURNUSxI. It's taken me some time to get used to racing on Phantom/A+ class again but I've started to get back into it again woop! If anyone wants to add me on PSN then please feel free to 👌☺️I am just sorting out PlayStation network to play online again as it keeps messing up even though I'm putting in all correct details etc, see you all soon and I truly hope you have all been healthy and happy since I have been gone ☺️
