I keep ending up at 8 place WHY ?

During the campaign I keep ending up at 8th place even if I hit the blue patches.

I still haven't got a single point yet !

difficulty = easy !!!

Whats wrong ???

Online however I sometimes win ?

Must be something fundamental if your on easy.


Put the thrust sensativity to 10%, that way your at full throttle without needing to hammer down the button
Apart from only a few specific corners on phantom you never need to stop accelerating. Your not driving a car :) so always use the air brakes to brake rather than simply slowing down for corners.


Not trying to sound patronising mate, just must be something simple. Let us know if you still have problems.

Are you sure you've set it to Novice? At the campaign event selection if you keep pressing square it will change between Novice, Skilled, and Elite.

A friend to me who also recently downloaded the game had advanced further than me which made me even more mad.

I asked him what he done, and he said he done nothing in the settings so I just resetted everything to standard.

Did some races at campaign and all of a sudden I am getting points :hyper

I never stop accelerating except for momentarily firing weapons !


I use the air-brakes and the left analogue stick all the time for steering!

Put the inside crease of the bendy bit of your thumb on the throttle, then you can rest the tip of your thumb on the fire button (default controller layout) and fire weapons whenever you like without having to come off the throttle. That will defo be losing you a little speed each time having to come off to fire.

Of course, that may be easier for me as I have hitchhikers thumbs (they can bend backwards in the middle) so my advice may not be 100% feasible :g

If it was online there's one explanation, everyone grabs the pink speed devil, Icarus and you think your a bad-a*s racer and use F.E.I.S.A.R. I lost so many races like this!

I race better on the middle difficulty than novice. Novice AI fly around racing line and box me in (and raise hell with some mines and a few bombs...)
