I never said they hacked sony... I said "i dont know why but i feel like justice has been served... "
The hackers got hacked! its like the bullys getting bullied. so it is justice.
Anyone who has been hacked by anon can feel better for this, The epilepsy sufferers just to name a few.
I hope these hackers feel violated...

Fair enough. Though I do think it's funny, I still wish people would stop publicizing everything they do and say. I'm sure that it's half the reason they do these kinds of things in the first place.

The less gossip and talk about anon, the better. At least I think so.

If we download Plus exclusive stuff during our free 30 day trial, will we still be able to use it after that time?

Sony have select people testing the PSN at the moment, so it shouldn't be down for much longer.:rock

Thing is I can't remember my password, I changed it about a week before the outage.

hmmm....make's me wonder if we should all try the "homebrew" alternative's too PSN store, i have been finding some, Such as Homebrew store, PSPinstaller, and such, they have 100% free stuff and it is made by real people who make game's for free,ugh.... , but still i think the more people hipe up and talk about and post all this about it ,the more it will encourage hacker's due too the free publicity they get, as well as form's of encouragement from fellow hacker's and developer's, Oh well since PSN is down ill be wasting my time making some game's for the psp

Me neither. I set it in September 2008 and haven't touched it since - I hope I won't have to enter it to change it :D

I haven't a clue what mine is. Surely Sony can email you though or something.

The password should still be saved on your ps3, go to the store and the sign in details will come up, count the **** and that should give you a clue as to how many letters are in your password.

Sony have released detailed information on exactly how the hackers managed to break into the PSN, as you can see in this informative picture...

Sorry, I was taking the piss because the diagram looks useless. Granted the Japanese notes at the side probably explain it but the picture itself made me chuckle. :)

The security lapses really highlight the problems of the lumbering juggernaut that is SONY.
In the Big Picture it appears that they really don't know what they are doing, or that dept's aren't communicating with each other.
Probably a major hesitance on the part of the Japanese to share information with their counterparts in other countries for the fear that they lose face.
[Your network has just been hacked to death, and your butt has been well and truly kicked, how much face have you got left?]

It doesn't surprise me.

They not only need to fix the PSN and other SONY sites, but they also need to address the way they respond to these sort of threats.
They way that somebody in SONY reportedly found the venerability, called a meeting to explain the problem, and then nobody shows up, sums up the state of affairs at SONY.

Reminds me of Government department, loads of people working there with the vast majority being ineffective come a crisis.

Yeah to be fair it sorted itself out pretty quickly, might have just been a minor glitch.
