I am not quite sure about Pure, but there are some very dedicated WipEout pilots living in the bigger Australia area ;) : blackwiggle, KIGO, djKyoto to name a few of them. I am living more or less in your timezone as well (Shanghai) and race Pure occasionally. I just had a look at the adhoc-party application for PS3 which lets you connect the PSP via PS3 in ad-hoc mode to practically everywhere in the world .. gonna give it a try with Pure.
