You know what really pisses me off? I just had a shittiest week, went home, my wife just told me, at the back of my house where the water mains from underground and it`s burst, water coming out and guess what?, I will be fixing that F****** pipes sorted and had to tell my neighbours to let them know they won`t be using water tomorrow morning for a few hours.
Why, I`m the only neighbour who can do the job and it`s saves money!
Even worse, I`m desperate for a drink! but I`m not, I am really determined to stay sober till March coming for the opening day and I will get rat arsed!, because, I`m on a diet and it`s going well.

That's the normal insanity exactly as in Germany. If you have a privat health insurance, you will be treated like a king. You get appointments immediately and don't wait so long for the doctor. But if not..... I had an appointment for a surgery, years ago. I had to wait two days!!

I managed to give up smoking last year.
I'd tried unsuccessfully to give them away before, then I realized it was every time I had alcohol the craving for a cigarette became too much and I'd cave in, so I gave up the cigs & alcohol on Jan 14th 2010.
I started drinking again 7 months later, but found I no longer had the cigarette craving, so it's been over a year now and I'm sure it's for good :D.
Actually I can't stand the smell of cigarettes now [a sure sign I've given them up for good], and find the smell objectionable if not nauseating when finding myself standing in line next to somebody who smokes, their clothes and breath reek.
Since I quit, the Government in Australia has taxed cigarettes so much in an effort to stop people smoking, they are close to Aus $20 a packet, then you have to find a place to smoke, as most places it is banned now.

What's grinding my gears at the moment was the utterly miserable quality of the last Top Gear episode. It's supposed to be a match UK vs Australia top gears, and I thought it'd be quite fun, possibillity of close challenges, a chance to actually be introduced to the Aussie hosts and some amusing moments. But no, of course not. We're going to lark around like this is some kind of sitcom, never allow any proper challenge and treat it like it's an episode of Family Guy. The humour level is low and irritating enough. I can't believe I was actually looking forward to this episode as well. Could have been excellent but instead the only thing we know for sure is that the Stig is a rally driver. :brickwall:mad::-

A few things have gotten my goat lately. And there is nothing I can do about them.
First you should know that I am a window cleaner and in this job I get no respect. Everyone I know frowns at what I do for a living.
Secondly I share my bros PS3 whch is a pain coz I have to beg him to use it. And he likes black ops which I hate.
Thirdly I got some messages from other psn users accusing me of being a second account which has pissed me right off.
And now I just got a phonecall from Andrew who I work with saying he doesn't need me this week. Well that's just lovely eh? Its Valentines in 2 weeks and I'm screwed man. :(

Ion about the second account thing there are 2 sides to that you could take it as an insult but you could also see it as a compliment, being that people think your too bloody fast not to have played the game before... I suppose if you want to be positive about it what they're really saying is that your a fast pilot and anyway who cares about the haters eh? :P

Yesterday I wanted to load my self painted piranha on my psp. It didn't work and I didn't understand why. I tried it again and again, with no success. Flint tried it also at his PC, with the same result. Finally we had a suspicion and Flint gave me his memory card and tadaa... So there must be something wrong with my own one.
Now I have to buy a new memory card (the same Flint has) and all my records, I had collected on my old one, are for the waste! :(

@Rennfisch
Ah, a broken memory stick... had that happen to me before, and I lost a Wipeout Pure save, right after I did 300 laps and set a new record on Odessa Keys, and had to do it all over again. :bomb :lol
But if you want to keep your Pulse records (you were talking about Pulse, right?), can you not just copy your Pulse profile from your old memory stick to your new one?
To get to the Pulse profile, plug your PSP into a PC with a USB cable, then go into the PSP folder, then the SAVEDATA folder, and your Pulse profile should be in there, named UCES00465P0000. Copy this folder onto the PC, then just copy it back to the same location on your new memory stick (/PSP/SAVEDATA).
There's probably some easier method using a PS3, but I don't have one, so I don't know. ;)

I don't know what is causing it but my computers are doing the total reverse of yours, mine are going to IDE instead of SATA.
BIOS wont hold settings.
Then when I get them back working one storage drive decides to start beeping [Dying].
I think I must be suffering some serious problems with power surges during the early morning hours when I'm asleep, loads of those long life light bulbs are crapping out on me and I'm having heaps of PC problems like never before.
I can't take a trick ATM.
Last week I went to build a new PC and bought a new i7-2500k chip, 2 X WD 2TB HD's, a veciloraptor HD for the OS, 8gig of 1333 ram, new case, Win 7 pro 64 and then disaster.
I find out Intel had recalled all 1155 MB's because of a controller chip problem that stuffs up the SATA 3g ports.
So I can't build a new PC till the replacements come back on the market in late March/ April.
I might as well wait until May/June when the Z68 chipped boards come out.
Then I can overclock and have the Intel on board graphics without needing a video card, can't do both ATM with the current H67 or P67 chips, it's one or the other.
It might be a blessing in disguise, I've just got to find a way to fix [keep running] the ones I have till then.:frown:

One thing I've learned since starting this role is that you really can't please everything. You can have several people fed up with arguments going down and suggesting a thread can be closed, and then others will not like it when it is closed. Either they enjoy the arguments or they feel their voice has been taken away somehow.
Also, far too often people lose track of the discussion. This isn't just going off topic, but also concerns thread which just become a series of isolated posts without any real value. Obviously there'll always be some of that, otherwise we'd be trying to have a 100-way cross-conversation, but these days it seems like even discussion forums become a bit too much like a series of disparate twitter posts, or facebook status updates.
I think banter is fine but it's always a fine line between what is and what isn't. When it comes to football I've always felt that people seem incapable of having a proper discussion about it. Also, the text people write on the internet comes largely without any hint of the writer's demeanour, so we pretty much make it up ourselves, based on how we feel about the subject. Then that leads to misunderstandings and exaggeration.
All the above contribute to threads being locked. However, from the odd forum I've seen elsewhere, I don't think there is a vastly disproportionate amount of locked threads here. People still seem to give largely positive feedback about this place as a community too, and that's pretty much based on the values it was established with from the start. So it's only logical that whatever those values are, that we should try and maintain them. Yes we could explain things a bit more when we make decisions and stuff - I certainly always thought that - but to be frank, I've seen now that justifying every decision would basically make this a 24 hour job some times. This post itself has taken me about half an hour to write, just trying to get my message across properly and constructively. I used to try and do it more often but found it was just consuming my evenings.
I have to be honest, because of all the above, I didn't expect a football thread to stay as good natured as it did, for as long as it did. But it's not as if there's any shortage of places to discuss football now, is it?:?

Were I been on this board from where I started talking to people on a web forum or message board or whatever they want to call it now a days.

And let your talk about Soccer ( football for the east side of the world, Canada, Mexico, central and south America ) live on. Is people across this country need to go back n support the small business or business man in each state across the country. I work for a guy who's a small business. And still needing more support from towns people and people. And more important the stingy banks for a loan to help grow this business. Again the rating for giving a loan and way they decide to give it or not. i still believe it as discriminated and getting worse.
My states new governor said she would give business a tax cut on things. The b..... hasn't gotten off her flat ass and proved that statement, I mean lie she gave after coming into office.

That's one of the saddest reasons to bully someone I've ever heard...okay, maybe not quite...but close. At least you have the satisfaction of knowing that whoever bullies you for that is tremendously pathetic. Not that I'd suggest telling them that if they're bigger than you.
Anyway, buck up! You learn way more life skills (hopefully, :lol) when you grow up poor. People who grow up with everything handed to them almost never learn how to survive with less, take care of themselves, or be happy with what they have.
And does that explain why guys have... U know wet their pants at night.

the site suggests these aliens are sterile and are stealing our DNA and ovum and sperm for their reserch.
the human race sussed out cloning in the 1940's these aliens can fly to our planet not get seen and abduct us yet cannot sort out their fertility probelms..sounds unlikley.
i reckon 70% of evidence such as scars or strange marks are just things the person didnt ntice and just happened like they fell over forgot about it then next day say i wonder how that mark appeared i must have been abducted.
29% are american housewifes who feel they do not recieve enough media attention so make up fantasy storys
1% is down to other unexplained reasons.
thats my oppinion
as with these implants ..how does anyone know they had an impant planted into them unless they have extracted it and if they did where is it.where evidence or advanced alien technolgy.
any aliens smart enogh to be able to travel to our planet would be smart enough to carry on flying and not bother landing.there is nothing on interest on planet earth for alien lifeforms apart from a 1001 forms of death and self worshipping ego manics and a possible counter invasion to their planet from us once we have stolen their technology.
as a life form we are pretty nasty we have alien and predator and terminator as role model hard ass non human forms but remember humans made them up so there a predatetor living in many of us already.

i see this vampire site full of plonkers who were saying vampires are real and were talking about there rules and cultures as if they existed .some of them who posted said they were vampires..real ones not goths..if i was a vampire i wouldnt join a trashy vampire forum to brag about it ill be flying to the caribean as a bat for a free holiday or turning to mist to rob my bank.
makes me laugh all these sites just popped up after all these american vampie shows about schoolkid vampires with special abilities
they have no evidence to support there claims and any evidence they find on the net they use if you double check it you always find it was discredited but the poster pretend not to be aware of this.
im happy to be human i dont need to pretend i have special powers.
humans have the ultimate special power already..
a brain with an idea and a drive to action it.

its probably just some sort of coping stratergy for people with problems in there lives id guess. they can go play vampires if they want so long as they arnt interferring with my buisness (or stealing my blood ;))
that said i guess they have to kind of face reality at some point. it does annoy me when people with such far fetched beliefs are so incredibly defensive, unreasonably so

It's English class... Seriously? T.T It's gonna be such a waste of my time.
Because I think I'm fine with the day to day conversational language, and it's gonna be on that first. Perhaps I could benefit from the second course on scientific language but even right now I can read scientific papers and understand the gist of it (Scientific American and such, even on astrophysics I can follow without having ever studied that.)
Sometimes I may have to look up a word here or there, generally colloquial expressions that I obviously don't hear out loud considering where I live.

Police Harassment
The most agrivatin thing in the world
On top of police racial profiling and accusing u of doing something and you have nothing to do with it and can prove it and they still want to cuff you, book you, and get your life in there hands. Because they where a badge.
What happens when ur on a moped to the gas station.
Blue lights run behind you. You get off your moped and the cop name major Steven Jonus tells you Techno take your backpack off and put your hands behind your back.
No miranda rights
Me and the pig talk face to face about and he admits to my face
That he didnt need to ask me for my or any kind of moped licenses.
That he himself has been keeping up with my activities, record, driving record, dmv, and criminal activity.
Call it harassment and profiling
Then when we talk in the car he drives.
Talk about my middle name. A middle name called Techno. But it is not an official legal middle name. It is the nam known to those around me, myself, and through the rest of the world.
But its not on my social security card, birth record, and guess what the dmv does not state it as Techno. No just T. just T because when I applied for the name change I did not finish the process.
So after that.
Jonus says. And after he knows now I'm returning back to serve for the united states marines.
Cut me a deal... and not take me to jail. Not give me three tickets but two. And I paid to get my moped out of that impound.
Police profiling, harassment, arrest without Miranda rights without just cause.
Pigs like that gotta go. Like the crazy debt Obama is trying to undone that the republicans have done since after 2004.

Excuse me motha ****a, me n him had our words last two Fridays ago. When he text me a bullshit claim that if I come n work a Friday the schedule cam change to Friday, Saturday, monday, Sunday. But the schedule change would effect only if I worked that Friday.
Do I have a label on my forehead that says Jackass and slave?
Hell no!
So after the 3rd Friday n this Friday now. Me and the son of a bitch, so call friend, so call want me to be a partner with him in his business. Charles ( C J ) Spurr. Got in another text arguement. And you know what on going to try n put out the whole text in this spot. From yesterday and before that. I heard somewhere that the German police are really tough on people driving dangerously on the Autobahn. Specifically that you are not allowed closer to the car in front than 1 metre for every Km/h you're driving. Is this true Renn?

The prescribed distance is actually half speed (160 km/h / 80 m), but often you cannot see the lights from the car behind you, so close they are.
The problem is that the police must present evidence. It needs a well-motorized car with expensive video equipment. Unfortunately, the police can only afford a few cars of this type, so they catch only a few speeders / tailgaters. But if they catch them....
An example:
At 160 km / h threaten following penalties:
Less than 40 m distance: 100 € and 2 points.
Less than 24 m distance: 240 €, 4 points, 1 month driving ban.
Less than 8 m distance: 400 €, 4 points, 3 months driving ban.
It could be that in other countries you must pay more money, but in Germany you get also points for traffic violations. If you have more than 18 points, you lose your driving license!

Funny how ones miles vary (pun semi-intended :D )
Whenever I have used the Autobahn, it has always been a good experience. Granted, most times I have been on my motorcycle and that kinda puts me in the top speed-bracket, so I haven't really had to dance with the lorries and so on.
I do remember one time though. 3 lanes in each direction (somewhere north of Osnabrück I think) and I check my mirror before I start overtaking a row of cars in the middle lane. Nothing there, so I buzz along at about 170 km/h, when I see a flash in the mirror. I look straight into the grille on a big Mercedes, furiously flashing his lights at me :eek So, I throttle up to +200 km/h, overtake the cars and pull back in. The merc silently flies past me at what I'm guessing is 250 km/h. I admit I needed a small break after that :p

dont understand it, the bbc get around 50% of the viewers in the whole of the uk tuning in to watch the races, the amount of viewers they get is almost more than on every other available channel combined! on a weekly basis!!!!, making it arguebly the most important program on there and there dumping half of the coverage to save money, yet are spending £900million quid relocating from the perfectly decent tv buildings in london to salford.
Quite easily ditch all the b******s programs on in the morning or ditch bbc4 altogether, Just not effing sky sports!!!!!!!!!!!
hopefully there is still time to change the deal :(
Still the producer of topgears come up with some funny comments:
Murdoch's money brings F1 to Sky. "Are Red Bull running team orders? Let's hack into their radio messages to find out..." #F1
Beat Sky at their own game by simply buying a ticket to each F1 race and watching it in person rather than on TV. #F1
Mimic the BBC F1 announcement by paying only half your licence fee and then giving really half arsed details about how they'll get the rest.
Make the next GP feel like it's on Sky by throwing £30 away and then turning your TV off every 10 minutes. :lol

Its not really the polices fault, its the government for cutting funding so deep into so many important services and projects. Also there doesnt seem to be any strong leadership or co-ordination, Literally its like every important stiff is on holiday
They should start using zero tolerance methods teargas and rubber bullets, alot of them seem to be just doing it because they can, (but then again i dont know whats going on, where i live in the rural UK is almost like a seperate country to the cities )

Our police used to protect their local communitys and help people... but now they are just an army who protect the Queen, parliament and the economy.
I think this is all organized anyway... the government have brought in the infamous hooded gang (which is used globally) to kick start riots where locals kids are grieving just so the government can pass a few more laws to control us.

You know what really tops it off? How the government are saying that "those responsible will be brought to justice" but in reality most people know that the dissidents will all get off scott free.
Leaving innocent people to bear the brunt of the damage costs etc etc.

Don`t under estimate it to yourself. It might happen in Scotland but I hope not.
On the day of the voting, I already discussed with my wife on the day happening and look what happened!
We knew what tories are trying to do, cut, severe cuts and it`s says it all.
Most important note, it`s NEVER tories fault! Well I`m sorry, I do blame the governments for all this fiascos.

My entire life I've seen the governments of both parties make cuts to policing and education.
And here we have uneducated thugs roaming the streets with the police force completely outnumbered and under-equipped to deal with it.

Seriously, the police really need to crack down on this crap now. Send them in with tear gas and rubber bullets and get rid of them.

Well, they should bang out the plastic bullets at least. After all, that was what the BA used against the Irish without any fuss when THEY were rioting.
What's the difference now? Swift action needs to be taken.

They won't use rubber bullets or tear gas or water cannons because apparently these criminals have rights too. WTF.
As far as I'm concerned they lost their rights when they started ruining other people's lives.

But more obnoxious is when the security system of any store (I don't know how this is called in English) goes off without any reason each time you pass through it. It happened to me LOTS of times and I never knew which garment was the responsible, but my mother thinks it was my trainers.
Nowadays I can go in and out without making go it off; I have new garments and different trainers since the beginning of the year and I don't care which of them was "making me unstealthy". :P

My brother.
I'll have to clarify why he grinds my gears, and this may be a lengthy read, so strap in and grab the popcorn if you want, this is a farce enough as it is.
My brother is older than me, yet acts like a child. Don't mistake this for a mental illness, he's just an idiot. He seems to think that everything belongs to him and that he has free reign over when he can and can't do. For example, I have my laptop, and naturally, I will want to play games on it. My brother knows this, so he tries to get me to allow him to use my old steam account to play Left 4 Dead on his computer (something he should not have, simply because he only plays games on it, the laptop he screwed up with too much porn would suffice for everything he had to do for college). Whilst I stood my ground and repeatedly told him to make an easier password on his (his incompetence knows no bounds), I eventually had to, given that my parents seem to enforce such narcissistic behaviour with impunity, at least as far as he is concerned.
He is the kind of person who should not be allowed technology, failing that, allowed outside with any amount of currency and outside of two meters from a responsible adult. Of course, none of these apply. he is the one with a desktop computer (that he punched because he bought a small tower then proceeded to put a GPU in. Yes, really), when I need it more than him. Now that Skyrim has been released, I have gotten no peace for anything, work, trying to think straight, you name it. Those who have Skyrim will empathise for the frame rate drops and crashes that it holds in its innards. Much like Fallout 3/ GoTY, I fear it will break the console. If it does, I lose ~£100 of content, simply because I've accessed my content from friends' houses and have recovered from dead units before now, leaving me on my last activation, which I have claimed back now. This has left me pretty darn pissed, as you can imagine.
But anyway, that's enough from me. Something to lighten the mood, perhaps? (http://www.halolz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/halolz-dot-com-skyrim-physics-bitchimahorse.jpg)

I can't say college is much better. Depends where you go and what level your courses are (intro vs major-specific). I can tell you people are a lot nicer (bullying doesn't exist because you're all adults, you don't have to see anyone outside of class, and no one knows anyone else so you don't have to be "cool"), and professors will make you grade your partners after group projects, so kids who don't work get royally effed.
Anyhow, pooping grinds my gears. Wiping, too. It's so gross.

I hate it when you look at the lobby list in Wipeout HD, you choose a race but a millisecond before you join the room the lobby list rearranges itself and you end up joining a room that you didnt intend to lol... its even more annoying if they start the race before you can leave, especially if its an eliminator with a target of 600 lol.

I hate them! They're frightening me! Eight eyes and eight legs - they must be aliens! It's very difficult not to fall in panic, when they hang around in front of my nose while driving car. At home, Flint kills them, but he wasn't there, so I hadn't no choice and must did it myself :cold.

To change the car doesn't work. They also were in my old car. I nearly had an accident, because a spider was abseiling at the side window and I didn't pay attention to the curve. I rammed the kerb, but I came back on the street before I crashed into a street sign. Thank god I just destroyed a rim, not the whole car.

The Internet.
Some say that its the best source for information... I say its the best source for conflicting information.
My cat became ill not long ago so i browsed the internet for information and half the vet websites i visited said she could die within 24 hours the other half said that it was nothing to worry about.
Im noticing this more and more on nearly every subject and it really grinds my gears lol.
Also if you ever have problems with your health, Never look online... it would probably scare you to death lol, just see a doctor asap.
My cat is fine now if you was wondering... it was just a urinary tract blockage and the vet sorted it out! i just have to take her twin sister in on monday because she also has the same symptoms.
Stay healthy :)

On a similar note, I've been trying to get fit over the last few months, and the amount of contradicting information on the net is baffling. Any topic, whether it's weight training, cardio, nutrition, has polar opinions stated as fact in numerous places, often seemingly trustworthy sources. It's very frustrating.
