zone barrel rolls

i was just wondering if any knows if you get bonus points in zones for barrel rolls?

I just did a few laps on synchopia, and I think Motorsagmannen was right. It's just that points add up so fast you don't see the round 1000.

I think points in zone do not matter so much that we have to count them. It's do or die, so you should make sure you get the points through flawless play rather than caring about instant scoring.

Passage to venom, sub rapier, rapier... etc grants you points. Barrel rolls too. Speed pads too. Perfect laps to.

For synchopia I hit all possible pads, do four BR first lap, then 2, then 3, then I do as much as I can until subsonic where I just drop them. I alway pull one or two accidentally anyway.

That means no shield energy AT ALL between the last jump and the first "sharp" corner (it gets sharpish at Mach one) but as long as you do perfect laps, you're never out of shield. You get more shield then you spend in the accidental scrap or BR. :beer

Actually only perfect zones give you a replenish of your energy bar, not the perfect lap itself (like in Wipeout Fusion) ( i am pretty sure i am right but hey i am not an expert anymore :p)

thats cool ^^ i noticed that i still got perfect laps even with the loss of shield energy due to the barrel roll. more points on the earlier laps :) nice
