Have you ever tried these 100 year eggs ?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HexwRg0TQXc&feature=related
A Chinese delicacy ,usually mixed in with Conjee [rice porridge].
They are a acquired taste,as you can probably imagine
With the really top quality ones, the egg white should be the colour of a dark beer and have a rainbow like effect to the translucency when you cut them up.
The ones that kid is eating are chicken eggs, the original way of making these eggs is to preserve them in horses urine and then bury them for a few weeks.

As a long time Pot Noodle gourmand I have noticed the change in Pot Noodle taste, MDhay. Back about five or so years ago Pot Noodles were excellent, the best snack you could make in under five minutes. Nowadays the recipe seems to have been changed to cater for new food regulations with reduced salt etc.
I used to love the bacon noodles but they discontinued them, now the only good flavour is beef and tomato.

Gareth if i resume quickly the situation you got a laptop with 2 hdd's in raid 0 ( to get better speed access for datas), while trying to boot you got no sound, POST failure and black screen, is it?
If your laptop is under warranty and you send it back i am pretty sure all your datas will be deleted, best would be to take off the 2 Hdds : there's a trap at the back of your pc you can open it ( ala ps3 without avoiding your warranty) and put them together in a station : you could be able to access to your datas easily.
Can you hear the sound of the HDDs spinning? the CPU fan as well ( i know that sounds hard for a laptop and not opening it to know if things are ok or not).
My little opinion on this it deals with the power supply connector from your motherboard, it's mostly the weakest part of laptops in general.
Seems also that few motherboards doesn't really support perfectly Raid systems ( eventhough they mention they can easily do it) that causes system being unstable

You can download purchased stuff infinite times to your activated system once you bought it.

All data will be voided after RAID 0 initialization on new system. Not every RAID controller allows to repair RAID array created with other controller

KIGO1987
1st November 2009, 05:30 PM
I guess i do Lance, but there is much satisfaction to get revenge from people who have screwed or backstabbed you and/or your mates in the past :g
Also a good way to make optimum use of cage chicken eggs as well :P
Lance
1st November 2009, 05:36 PM
Revenge should only be taken on the specific people who have done you specific harm. I wonder who gets to clean up the mess you made.
The more eggs that are used for any purpose whatever, then the more chickens there are that will be caged and mistreated. Your wastage of the eggs means that those eggs will be have to be replaced with more so that people can eat them, and therefore more chickens will suffer. Use your mind next time before you do something.
KIGO1987
1st November 2009, 05:55 PM
The people of revenge where selected well, and from optimal distance from the main destination that we where driving too.
Well the people that would of have to clean the mess would be the idiots who irritated us off in the first place. Also if they where not quick to remove the egg contents from the sides of there car soon, the egg yoke would begin to stick really hard to the paint work of the car, making it impossible to remove.
Well me and my mates only had enough money to pay for the caged eggs as the Free range and the ponsy hippy greeny eggs would of meant we would of had lesser driving petrol money to get to our destination. Im sure if the chickens knew what we did with there eggs, they probably would of asked if they could come along for the car ride, to join in the fun and enjoy the hype of the moment. Plus the remaining eggs made for a fantastic omelette the following day for breakfast too. So nothing went to waste at the end.
Lance
1st November 2009, 06:26 PM
It is my opinion that you are a very selfish person who attempts to justify doing wrong with arguments that do not hold up to realistic analysis.
This fantasy that the chickens would approve is totally unrealistic. And you're too poor to waste the more expensive eggs of better treated chickens? It's still waste. How do you think the chickens would feel about what you did to the product of their efforts, hm?
What exactly did those people whom you tried to revenge yourself upon do to you?

Funny thing, I still haven't heard exactly what the people you took "revenge" against actually did to you. I have to wonder if their 'crime' was equal to your 'punishment'. Is the karma really in balance now?

Must be the Australian way of life that makes it so interesting.
Those eggs thrown on Halloween night have baked quite nicely though, through the recent hot days here. Its attracted quite a few bob tail lizards as well, nearly got attack by one of the bastards. They sit still in wait. Managed to put it in a bucket, but it has found its way out. I think the people across the road must of got it, and boiled it in there soup or something. Was going to see if i could sell it or something.

'picture', I doubt we'll ever be able to squeeze a photo outta him
had a great day today, hung out with me Nan in the city, couple of my friends joined us, Lottie stayed with us to see a lovely animation film called Ponyo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BfNtYF94cQ&feature=related) by Studio Ghibli, also today I tired a Vodka and Redbull Sorbet, it was wonderful!, I don't drink alcohol so it took a little convincing but now I'm hooked :D
and I finally went back to martial arts class yesterday, teacher was away so we didn't get caned(I kinda miss it) then after MA I went to a lecture on the wiccan coven by a great guy called Bob who I've seen do other lectures, did a great one on astral projection a couple months back.
also started going to a Yoga/meditation meetup, that coupled with doing martial arts I think I'll quit my Tai Chi class as I don't think my teacher knows as much as I'd like
oh and I just got an email from a Buddhist Qigong group asking if I want to hang with them, sounds great!
kindof a big post, but I'm just feeling happy and felt like sharing as my life's been pretty meh/downward spirally for quite awhile up until the last week or so

Dont get addicted on Red Bull, drains your wallet. I love there new sized cans though, still cheaper to get a 500ml Mother can over a 250ml Red Bull can, that with vodka gets you pissed quick, and it is also that time of the year, summer is here, beach weather, piss ups, fangs sessions, clubbing. Im sure you are going to love the summer 40+ temps as well as the flys. Live close enough to the beach and you'll be able to get the seabreeze and you'll be fine.
Cost of living here is about half of what it is in the UK. Plus you dont have to drive around in 1 liter diesel engines here.
Weather here the past few weeks has been perfect so to speak, probably one of the reasons why im not much on the PS3 on WOHD recently.

You seem very interested in what i do in my life Lance.
I see what you do here and wonder what your atrocious behaviour is based on, why your responses to life are so inaccurate and so unfair. I wonder why you are so ready to assume things that are not true, and so ready to punish when there has been no wrongdoing.
And I notice that you again failed to justify your behaviour. Can it be that your answer to my question about what they had done to you to be deserving of your damaging their property and therefore also their finances and the consumption of their time, is it possible that your answer would show that they had not done anything to deserve what you did to them? I am interested because I'm a person with a strong sense of justice, and would like to help end your immature behaviour by pointing out how your non-objective judgements are hurting other people unnecessarily.

Kigo, mate - he does have a good point. The whole 'makin' a play' then 'ducking for cover' whilst everyone else is brewing, waiting for a response/justification from you (which you shy away from) is an emerging pattern noticed by many, here at WZ. Which reminds me - where's that copy of my PM you claimed went public, fell into your posession somehow, and caused you offence- i need to see it, coz i have a feeling it has been doctored to cause you offence... when really, I should be the one who is offended for having my PM to someone, being made public... a bannable offence here. Now, Kigo, notice how Ihaven't reported this as yet, as I wanted to give you ample time to come forward and produce my PM... but you are stalling (2 weeks) and I i'm in two minds whether I should report it. Wireless keyboards are great. I started out on the internet with WebTV, which had wireless keyboards as their standard, although they had a PS2 connector for IBM-and-clones wired keyboards on the back. What was extra cool about their keyboard was that WebTV had an extra keyboard command layer and a third extra button to use it just as you did with alt and ctrl. It gave you international 'accent' marks for multiple languages plus other symbols, too. But anyway, yeah, wireless is the way to go if your situation allows it.

Took 5hrs to get to work because there was a fatal accident on the A3 this morning so they closed the road when I was on it. seeing people walking around on a motorway is just weird. ~15mile tailback I think, possibly more...
Too many cigs + loud music + stress from being 3 1/2 hrs late for work = headache
Our tech support team is being reduced from 36 people down to 4-5 people because there aren't enough email/phone queries coming in. I'm new-ish so I got the boot along with some others :(

No need to edit. Sometimes even I find it's justified. Even if it wasn't I probs wouldn't mind. I've settled in and chilled out now, I hope.
That sounds like a harsh day. It's not even Friday 13th yet. Make sure to get a good ref. if you can. Having only been there such a short time, that might look bad on your CV, which is totally the opposite of what you want. Although I am speculating to be honest, as I've thankfully not been in that position. Just would hate to see it end up a bad thing after all the effort.
It sucks that it's over already as you seemed to be enjoying it. Don't they have to give you more notice than that?

If yeldar did them as much of a favour as he says then I think they should take a gamble on potential personally. You're doing Art? Strange how I'm not doing any mock for mine.
Yeah, it's basically a mini-Unit of work. I chose to do surrealism in the exam, as a unit that I actually did on surrealism (last year) was completely ****ed up by a trainee teacher we had (ah well, she was fit :+) who didn't understand the course. After she left I ended up analyzing 8 pieces of art in a single day in order to get my mark up to a D.
Yes, up to a D :bomb...
Anyway, for this exam I've mainly been focusing on the work of H R Giger, (swiss surrealist artist, designer of alien) which has been reall interesting to do, as most of his work is stuff like this:
http://www.popartuk.com/g/l/lg3004+birthmachine-hr-giger-poster.jpg (SFW, nothing creepy)
http://giger.com/gallery/book-biomechanics-d3.jpg (SFW, might creep children out)
http://10.media.tumblr.com/BXG5VpDSt5veyye6P1NyS382_400.jpg (possibly NSFW)
http://www.biwook.net/gallery/giger/Giger-art-1.jpg (lower half NSFW)
There's plenty more of his work out there, I'd post more, but a lot of it can only really be described as biomechanical-alien erotica :blarg (still very good quality though, just google image search "H R Giger" and some will pop up, even with safesearch on XD)

when i presented my work done on the G master my teacher said "there is always one in every class I have had since I started teaching that will do work on him, I have become a mini expert on him with the help of my pupils, I love his art but hated the films"
did'nt talk about films to him much after that :D
EDIT: and G masters sculpturs are awsome!!!

IMO, most 'art' that I've seen is actually mock-art. What's worse, though is that so much of it is not good. And the form of art known as poetry? Agh. Most of it is prose chopped up into short lines and stacked. :o And that includes most of the poetry contest winning writings.
Uh, I'm gonna stop now instead of wasting my time on anger that won't change the quality of writing or painting at all. Dammit.
Oddly enough, photographic art seems to have a higher percentage of good stuff than other forms.
Before I forget: "good" = "I like it". And uniqueness helps a lot.
mdhay
2nd December 2009, 04:46 PM
Why must you get the good stuff, Adam? I actually wanted to Giger's work for ages, but have to do Cubism. >.<

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30801117&l=bc43dc180d&id=1046530500
Drawing isn't my strong point, but I seem to be able to analyze work really easily. I tend to just bullshit about what I see in the picture and what it has connotations of, then try and include some longer words in order to look smarter, and end up getting 12-14 out of 15 marks for them...

Well, I'm currently sculpting the hand from this: http://giger.com/gallery/book-biomechanics-d3.jpg
6 hours in, and I've done the basic shape of arm, hand, all the fingers (no thumb yet), detailed two of them fully and have another one partially done. The main difficulty is working out what the palm and inside side of the fingers looks like, I've decided to make them quite skeletal in appearance.
I have four hours left, part of which has to consist of glazing/rubbing oxide into it after being biscuit fired.
I'm gonna run out of time... >_<

Can anyone tell me how to get a BD rip onto my PS3?
I have several files of ~11gb which I'd like to get onto my PS3 but they are stored on my laptop. Can't put them on an external because it would need to be NTFS and not FAT32 blah blah but PS3 can't read NTFS formatted drives (grrrrrrrrr)
I've looked into streaming and that but I'm not really sure where to begin/what is best...
Any ideas? I need my 1080p :nod

Winamp Remote might do something. I'm not sure about how it's set up, but give it a thought. :)

Winamp Remote is tricky. First you have to download the player, open up file sharing ( not reccommended on anything Windows:P ), register the remote player, sync it and you should be all set.

I use TVersity to transfer form PC to PS3 over the wireless. You can directly stream them or just copy the file. I'm not sure about file size limits though, as I never had anything that big. I found it very easy to set up and use though.
