Oh, it is. You'll have friends requests from armies of spammers and social networking gurus pointing you towards their articles.

I used it for about ten months until the end of last year, before realising it was taking Twitter, plus Plazes.com, plus Monitter, plus Twitpic, plus a bunch of other third party apps to get the same functionality as I get from just using Brightkite (http://www.brightkite.com) instead.

Different thing entirely - Bebo is a social network, whilst the other sites mentioned focus on micro-blogging.

I find bebo is mainly full of kids, facebook was good at first but not its way past it's tipping point, i pretty much got pushed into joining twitter by a few friends.

I wasn't/aren't aware of the difference.

Yep, it's more of a micro blog, except its easier to tell people to piss off without looking like a prick. :+

Currently I have an account for:

MySpace
Facebook
Twitter

Whatever the kids are using these days. I remember a time when you got 100 hours of internet a month, over a phone line, and that was premium service! ;) (get off my lawn, etc.)
