Unfortunetely my first thread on here is a moan.

Has anyone else been having random problems with the game crashing for 10+ seconds, then it suddeny unsticks?

:eek

Sometimes my controller won't work, but I suspect it's because i have Rock Band perifials in my USB ports. The problem goes away when I remove them.
I have had the game freeze on me 2-3 times with no response from anything. I had to restart the system.

Keenan, yesterday happened the same to me while racing with eLhabib. we were doing some voice chat when out of nowhere, i pressed the chat key and the game freeze. I pressed it again to try to warn eLhabib but it freezed again. I restarded the console and everything was ok again.

Ahhhhhhh so it was my mic then. Looks like I'll be leaving it off then. This and the poor speech quality, sounds like this area of the game needs addressing.

Yeah I have noticed this too, but is a small glitch in an otherwise perfect game

I wouldn't want this to be considered a 'small glitch in an otherwise perfect game'. To me, communication while you are racing is very important! You want to hear people's reactions, the enthusiasm - it adds a LOT to the game IMHO. Please, SL, fix this soon!

Yes I agree, particularly in the absence of any form of text messaging in game (unless I missed that feature). It`s very important to be able to organize.

I wouldn't want this to be considered a 'small glitch in an otherwise perfect game'.

Not only that but that was the sentiment for some time with Pulse until the 'small glitch' list grew to the point where it could fill a small library.

Luckily HD can be patched, while Pulse can not.

Making me delete down to under 50 friends isn't exactly great either http://images.pesfan.com/smilies/undecided.gif

Is there any sort of official site that Studio Liverpool would give any word at?

On that 50 friends issue: I have over 50 friends in my list, and it works fine. Or did you mean over 50 friends simultaneously online? Or maybe this only affects older PS3 models?

I think it may just be older models.

The team are aware (some of us post here and on Neogaf, how could we miss it!?).

There's a message on the Official Playstation blog, I think.

talking of chat, they also need it to be open mic with the ability to mutw for those who dont want it, having to reach for L1 (or any other button) in a game as frenetic as this invariably ends in me crashing lol - maybe its just cos im a newb but remembering back to when resistance was first released you had to press to chat then was later changed to an open mic so it cant be too difficult to patch

Please no open mic. I don't wanna hear my opponent breathing while they are chasing me down :).

what I would like to know is if you have to hold down the chat button for the entire time when you are speaking, or if you just need to press it briefly, to open the channel, and it automatically closes when you are finished talking (Halo3 does that, so it IS possible).

hahaha jay, i could see it now, but seriously, i really dont mind push to talk, how are you going to be able to go and mute someone while your racing, because if they dont talk in lobby, you might not know they have a mic. i try to focus on the race most of the time, ill only talk if i know im plenty ahead and im going to win :lol

you have to hold down L1 all the time and theres a slight delay between you holding down the L1 and it working
