If the DC had more decent racing games (apart from the brilliant F355 Challenge and Le Mans) it would be the best console of all time, untouchable forever.

Wasn't Mag Racing a spin-off of that German future racer "Killer Loop" a.k.a. "Yager" and whatever they called it in the production process? Another game that fell victim to its enormous hype.
Definitely have to look for a copy of it again.
