WipEout Pure Gamma Packs

I had a question about the gamma packs for the US version of pure. I don't know if this has already been posted, but why does the game always freeze on me when I play these four tracks? I think they are awesome tracks, but I am tired of the game freezing halfway through a race. Is this problem just me, or is it some kind of bug that everyone has?
