If this has already been discussed i apologise now!!!!
Why couldn't the classic league tracks resemble there original counterparts a little more!!
Leggo looking AG craft in a TRON like world, hate it :blarg Hate the way my beloved Feisar looks too!!
Love the rest of Pure :D

They ran out of time, plain and simple. With enough time to work on the classic 2 tracks, we now see how the first classic league was intended to look, but never will.
And as for looking like Tron... that's where the name "Neotronic" comes from, obviously ;)

"Never will"? What if they introduce a download pack with the original Classic League tracks in Classic-2 style, how it was meant to be?

That's a pretty big "what if", the kind that also wonders about Batman's parents never dying, Aunt May getting shot instead of Uncle Ben and Superman landing in Russia instead of Smallville.

The classic one tracks look as intended. It was a time issue when starting the project, we needed a style that would be quicker than building them normally, or not do them at all. The classic 2 tracks had a little more time, though not as much as a 'normal track'
The chance of further downloads .........
Put it this way, we've been on Pure for over 2 years, the download content is as much as the original disk content. We cant go on producing download content forever.

And you have done us proud, too. We really couldn`t ask for more - what you get for your thirty quid with this game is quite stunning. :clap
On topic, I`ve grown to love the neotronic tracks - particularly numbers 1, 3 and 4 where it`s a real challenge to keep the ship on the track for a whole race at a good speed in phantom. Don`t know whether it`s just me, but the handling seems slightly different on these tracks, particularly MT: less bouncy somehow. Probably just my imagination.

I totally agree with Lunar. For the asking price you get a great game, and you couldn't have done a better job on the downloads. This game should go down as a classic, it's a perfect example of how to utilise the PSP.

It's hard to find a racing game with more lasting value, even among Wipeout games. 8 basic tracks, 4 classic unlockable tracks, 4 zone tracks, 12 extra downloadable tracks AND an extra 4 tracks for the euro version.
Now THAT's what I call bang for your buck!

This game should go down as a classic, it's a perfect example of how to utilise the PSP.If only they used custom soundtracks...

You could say that for most games though. I think it was planned originally but cut due to time issues.
